THOUSANDS ATTEND CONTROVERSIAL PILGRIMAGE IN TEL UMANA

There was high tension yesterday as several thousand Hasiala Jews made their way to the coastal town of Tel Umana to celebrate their annual Festival of Rediscovery. The Hasiala Jews of Kiryat Gat believe that Kiryat Sobol was a Prophet of God who lead the people back to a promised land, this view however is seen as controversial to the rest of the Jewish Community. Since 1701 the Hasiala Community have converged at Tel Umana in order to celebrate the nation being founded by those escaping oppression across the sea. This year an estimated 3,000 people attended the festivities which saw a mass prayer meeting as well as a feast and dancing. The Hasiala have always been considered amongst the most conservative Jewish community within Kiryat Gat and over the last fifty years have called upon the nation returning to its Jewish roots. Their leader is Elder Soloman Mois who while leading his followers in prayers said, "God has called on us to set the world according to his rules, the young of today are more interested in I-Phones, Twitter and selfies than doing their duty to the Holy, should our great Prophet Kiryat Sobol not have saved us hundreds of years ago they would still be under the yolk of oppression, it was this man doing his duty to the Lord that has allowed this to happen."

The festival went off without incident however there was a large police and military prescence following anti-Hasiala protests last year. Major Istak of the Kiryat Gat Defence Force (KGDF) spoke of his delight at a peaceful festival saying, "Whether we agree with their interpretation is not important, what is important is that Solomon Mois and his followers are Kiryatians who follow the law and as such deserve to be allowed to pray, worship and live in peace."

At the end of the festival Soloman Mois presented the KGDF officer with a Kippah embroided with an image of Kiryat Sobol watching the fleet that brought people to our nation leaving. The Rabbi said, "The KGDF today stood by their oath of protecting the people of this nation I am sure Kiryat Sobol would be proud, one day I firmly believe the people of our land shall embrace our true interpretation of the faith."

LEADERSHIP TO ATTEND HISTORIC EVENT IN MERCIA

Chancellor Livna Siskin is set to undertake what will be a historic journey to Mercia. The Chancellor is set to attend a service there to remember people killed in the Mercian Genocide and will meet with newly crowned High King Rupert. The visit shall be historic as it will mark the first official contact between a Mercian and Kiryatian government in over 500 years. Historically the Hassopites captured people from Gat and used them as slaves in various ways, this is something that has never been publically addressed by the Mercian government. Many in Kiryat Gat believe that the Chancellor should not visit unless there is first a Mercian acknowledgement of guilt. Opposition leader Mordeci Scolom said, "It is ironic Mrs.Siskin is visiting to show commemoration of a genocide, yet there has been no recognition of the torment the same nation that murdered hundreds of thousands of people in cold blood kidnapped, tortured, murdered and others devastated millions of people of our nation."

The visit has though been defended with the Bundist Alliance stating, "We don't live in a day and age where nations can ignore each other. The Mercian High King did not kill or imprison a single person from our nation, as such we can not hold him responsible in person."

GOVERNMENT TO FUND TWENTY NEW KIBBUTZ

With the population of Kiryat Gat beginning to steadily grow the government have determined that they will fund the construction and operation of twenty new Kibbutz farms. These farms have been operated by communities of farmers who have worked together to promote a spirtiual and cultural background while providing masses of food for communities. The latest ones will be aimed to house around 500 people and will use water taken from the ocean to irrigate the land. It is likely that the first one will open mid 2017 and is likely to be located close to Gushod.

Over the last three years no new Kibbutz have been built, and the Orthadox Jewish community have called for new ones. Community leader Moses Hemann said, "To us in the Orthadox community the idea of living and working the land, the way that God intended, is vital our people see it as a service and one we are honoured to do. The new Kibbutz will permit our community to take care of our nations and provide support for those in need. I am very excited about this news and wish it had been more Kibbutz and come sooner."

WORLD CUP BID MADE

The nations Football Association has today entered a bid to host the football world cup. The bid marks the first time the nation have attempted to host a major sporting event and legions of football fans are already hopeful. One supported of Maccabi Urim said "It'd be great, the best players in the world coming and strutting their stuff on our pitches. I can't see why we wouldn't get it, we love the game, our facilities are first rate, and those foreigners will just love our beaches." Following the announcement clubs across the country began to "Back the Bid" by waving banners and flags at games.

Manager of Beitar Mobek F.C , Soloman Mehlam said, "Football is a passion here, each town and city thrives under the thrill of its team doing well. Any nation visiting is going to get a great rececpition, if they embrace the city they stay in they'll find their nation embraced by the people, assuming they aren't playing KG. I don't think we're likely to win this tournament, but to play host would be a great step on the nations run to football greatness."

WELCOME TO KIRYAT GAT

The capital of Urim today erupted in a sea of patriotic flag waving as it was announced that we have been choosen to host the Football World Cup. The nation had been competing against Tytor, Artoszka and Helvetica to earn the privledge to host the competition and was announced shortly after voting ended. The nation has a thriving football league and the sport is the most played in Kiryatian schools. Four cities will host games with Urim, Vatikim, Daliyat and Gushdan hosting fans and players from across Mundus. Ronny Rosenthal, Chairman of the Kiryat Gat Football Association (KGFA) said "I'm thrilled that we got the votes, our nation is obsessed with football and we are excited to welcome the world to our nation. I know we'll put on a great specticle with the help of the best footballers from across the world."

The stadiums had already been in use for the domestic league and will now receieve a quick lick of paint and decoration ready for the tournament The final will take place at the Kiryat National Arena which is already selling out quickly. The 94,000 capacity arena is also likely to play host to the opening ceremony which Rosenthal says, "Will celebrate all that is great about football and involve everyone across Mundus". The exact details are being kept a closely guarded secret.

The city of Urim is also preparing to welcome a mass of tourists, local mayor Svetlana Mitzi spoke about the boost to the local income saying, "With the teams staying here as well as fans coming our hotels are likely to be full to capacity. The stalls in the old town have already gone into overdrive marketing all manner of new products towards the World Cup, we've already had a few copyright issues but that's always been the nature of the old cities tight market streets." One concern is the cultural sights of the old city may leave some confusion. "There are not too many Jewish majority nations or cities out there, the old city while beautiful is a place mainly centered around the old places of worship. I'm sure though we can handle educating as well as entertaining." Mitzi did mention that a team of 4,000 voulenteer World Cup Guides has been recruited ready to help out on match days in many ways.

In the coastal city of Vatikim the beach has already taken on an atmosphere ready for a big sporting event. Fans will be encouraged to register to join a "Beach League" and 10 mini arena's have been erected to host games. Vatikim United manager Robert Horsmann spoke saying, "The idea is to celebrate football, what better way than watching the worlds best and enjoying a few games on the beach." The cities bars and clubs have also begun preparing, one bar owner said "We've already trebled our drinks orders, I'm not sure it will be enough but everyones doing the same."

The teams chances are put at "middling" with team coach Rabi Ginsberg saying. "This is a great chance for us to show what we can do, our players are keen to get started and they have a brilliant oppurtunity to go far. I'm aiming for the Quarter Finals at least, anything else will make what will be an amazing occasion slightly tarnished."
