I did all the math already and the area of each pixel on the map is 144.92km^2 so all you need to do to find the area of your country is multiply this number x the number of pixels in your territory. This process is easy provided who have a program like Paint.NET or GIMP. I recommend Paint.NET for almost anyone because its the most accessible and easy to use. This tutorial will also be for Paint.NET but you can use GIMP too.

1.) Open the map in the program.
2.) Zoom in adequately to your spot, the zoom tool should be in the rectangle toolbox on the left. If its not there, there will be a hammer in the upper right corner, click it and the tool box will show. Zoom tool is on the third row.
3.) Select your territory with the color picker tool, which is found on the 7th row right of the pencil.
4.) Make sure your zoomed in so you don't color over boundaries on accident. Begin to color over your counries' name and internal borders.
5.) Select the magic wand tool that should be in the fourth row
6.) With tolerance set at the default 50% now select your territory

Once you selected with magic wand, on the bottom it should read somewhere Area: [numbers]

Once you have that number, pull out your calculator on your phone, computer or those Texas instruments type ones and multiply that number x 144.96.

Poof! There's your total area. Its up to you if your want to do water and land.
