![]() ~ Katsrokan National News ~ KNN Good evening my fellow Katsrokans and my international viewers. This week has seen a boom in national and international happenings and I am pleased to be able to report them. After nearly a decade of relative isolation after our independence from Benelux-Helvetica, our government has determined that the national stability has reached appropriate levels and has opened the nation to international trade, travel and diplomacy. Happily, our nation's first state visit, with King David of East Moreland, has gone over without a hitch. We are told by royal sources that we have also received an invitation to this years Festival of Sail in East Moreland this upcoming July. In national news, our capital, Katarin, has been named the cleanest city in the nation and has been selected for the upcoming debates between the Labor Party, the National Party, and the Moralist Party (formerly Right Christian Party) for the People's Assembly elections this June. While no party has clear popular support, it is expected that the National Party will come out on top this election with at least half the seats up for grabs. This is due to our recent revocation of isolation policies. ![]() Behnpar Park in downtown Katarin Related to the cessation of our isolationist stances, Her Serene Highness, Imelda Karenina, is expected to petition the Directorate to host an international state dinner. Should she receive support from the executive, the dinner would be expected to be held next month. The location is still a mystery, though it is doubtful it would be held at either the Behnar Palace or in Katarin itself. In religious news, several members of the Dharmic Council and the three Catholic Bishops of Katsrok met this past week to discuss religion, philosophy and their relationship within the nation. It is believed that this was a preliminary meeting foreshadowing a meeting between the High Brahmin, Ada Yonath, and Cardinal Guillaume Champoux. Certain political pundits have argued the point that this is potentially revolving around the Moralist Party while religious scholars argue that this is merely an attempt to foster good relations between the two religions given recent mixing of the two faiths in popular practice. ![]() Dharmic Alyn Mong and Bishop Francois Decoste On other notes, we have submitted royal stead, Briellen Jzunpur, and her jockey Kryshn DuPont, to the Achkaerinian Royal Cup races. And with that, this ends our Katsrokan National News report. This is Aadesh Anand signing off. Hope to see you all next time. |

![]() ~ Katsrokan National News ~ KNN Good evening my fellow Katsrokans and international viewers. Let's get right into it, Her Serene Highness, Imelda Karenina, has just announced that new lands have been declared National Heritage sites and guarantees their protection from corporate interference as well as free use of the lands to any Katsrokan citizen. She also claims that a natural history museum will be built on the outskirts of this new national symbol of our natural beauty. Construction should be finished later this year and open to the public early next year. ![]() Bihschwitz Bois National Forest Debates between the Labor Party, National Party and the Moralist Party have gone into full effect in city-centers, public parks, museums and stadiums all over the nation. Current popular polls are showing the Labor Party losing public support while the National Party and Moralist Party are vying for the currently unsecured votes the Labor movement has lost. In all honesty, it still looks like anyone's game. Certain members of the People's Assembly have expressed their desire for the people of the nation to uphold the status quo so not to unbalance or fragile stability with political turmoil. However, it does not appear their pleas have been heard thus far. On another note, after the successful philosophical and practical discussions between the religious scholars and leaders of the Hindu and Roman Catholic Faiths, a definitive date has been set for the first meeting between High Brahmin Ada Yonath and Cardinal Guillaume Champoux. However, an exact agenda has not been released to the public furthering speculations on whether or not the sudden cooperation is political or scholarly or practical. My sources from within the institutions offer few answers, all of which are mixed. Meanwhile, the court scandals between the People and DuPont et Fils, Ltd, have ended on account of technicalities. The massive paper corporation has been fined ten thousand katchiks to the national government for the protection, upkeep and refinement of our national parks and lands. Many government officials are outraged over the outcome but see no definite answers in the short term. ![]() The People's High Court As always, this is Aadesh Anand signing off. Hope to see you all next time. |
