![]() ![]() SEITCH RESISTS. BATTLE FOR A HOLY CITY BEGINS This if the first edition of We Are The Resistance, a news source made by the free people of Kaitaine for the world. We are aware of the propaganda machine published by the McPherson regime and we will not permit the world to be fooled. We are the Truthsayers, we are the resistance. Yesterday the government of Kaitaine announced the evacuation of the city of Seitch, implying the city was a disaster zone, nothing is further from the truth, the city is in good health and beloved by its people. The city is the birthplace of many of the Bene Gesserit rituals and practices and therefore stands as the 2nd most holy site in the world to the faithful, who despite what McPherson claims still number in the tens of millions. The city was abandoned by many however a handful of Bene Gesserit loyalists have remained behind, determined not to let their home fall to a Communist government determined to eradicate their faith. As Kiataine soldiers entered the city the 300 or so members of the resistance engaged in actions against them, despite being outnumbered and out equipped the locals used their intimate knowledge of the city to lay ambushes and traps. While the official media reports a handful of Kaitaine casualties the figures were in fact much higher with around 100 dead in the first day of fighting. The defenders however suffered casualties of their own and were pushed back street by street once armour was brought into the city, this relief was short lived however as the resistance began using explosives devices to disable tanks and APC's in the narrow streets making them impassable roadblocks and therefore halting further advances. The official media of Kaitaine also failed to report that attack helicopters were brought to the city in an attempt to overwhelm the resistance, however this failed as one was shot down with a anti-aircraft device and this caused further complications to the Kaitaine Military advance. As night fell several of the defenders used the cover of darkness to move out of the city hoping to continue their resistance. There now is an estimated 150 people in the city attempting to hold off the Kaitaine military. One of them, who did not give her name said, "One day our children will look at this city and know that not only did our faith start here but it was reborn here, when the Truthsayers said no more and fought for their way of life, our children will be proud." The fighters have vowed to not give up control of the city regardless of what is done. The same fighter said, "Even if they reduce Seitch to rubble they will find us amongst it, waiting with a bone knife[1] ready to slit their throats, the buidlings of Seitch are not why we are here, they can and will be rebuilt, we are here because we will no longer be slaves." ![]() ![]() SEITCH TRUTHSAYERS HOLD ON After 48 hours of intense street to street fighting the Bene Gesserit Truthsayers of Seitch are still holding onto parts of the Holy City. Several hundred loyal sisters of the religious order have turned the city into a defendable bastian that despite air and artillery strikes has held firm. Having spent time amongst the defenders it is clear that they are in good spirits and well equipped beyond the manner described by the Kiataine State Propaganda Machine. One of the sergeants of a resistance unit said, "This city is ours and we will not permit harm to come to it. The Truthsayers have taken a sacred vow to protect the Holy land of Kaitaine and the bloodline that will one day bring the supreme being, the kwisatz haderach, until the time he arrives we shall do his work." The forces have also been preparing defensive points in order to carry out a longer defence. The Truthsayers have also been stockpiling food, ammunition and other supplies for the past few months and are likely to be able to hold out for longer if there is a seige. The Sergeant we spoke to stated, "We've so far inflicted heavy casualties on the Kaitaine Army, they've underestimated us and had to bring out their big weapons thinking that will crush us, what they fail to realise is we know this city, we know this land and we'll win." |

![]() ![]() TRUTHSAYERS BATTER ARMOURED COLUMN The members of the Bene Gesserit Truthsayers who are holding onto the besieged city of Seitch yesterday drove off the latest attack into the city, this time one which saw the use of several tanks. Shortly after sunrise a column of six tanks pushed into the city streets supported by infantry, within minutes heavy fighting had broken out with Truthsayers using both RPG's and improvised explosives to first slow and then halt the attack. By nightfall all six of the tanks which had entered the city were either destroyed or disabled. One tank, which had managed to reach the street on which the Corrino palace is located was taken out by three Truthsayers using an improvised explosive to disable the tank before engaging the crew with grenades and small arms fire. They later posed for photographs using the vehicle for a sun shade before canabilising it for materials that could be used in the defence of the city. Once the tank had been stripped it was disabled. A similar fate was meet by the other five tanks. At the end of the day a total of around 87 Kaitaine Defence Force soldiers had been killed with a further 22 captured, by comparison three Truthsayers went to meet Shai Hulud. [1]The defence of the city is likely to continue for many days as the Kaitaine Defence Force gets more desperate and are unable to remove the Truthsayers. One Lieutenant said, "We can hold Seitch a very long time, we have prepared for such an attack for years, we know every home, every tunnel, every street, every grain of sand here is our ally. We will bleed the KDF dry before we give this city up." ![]() ![]() TRUTHSAYERS COMMANDER CLAIMS VICTORY Truthsayer Commander Joanna McNeill[1] has spent the last week masterminding the defence of Seitch. The 40 year old Truthsayer is a native of the desert city in occpupied Kaitaine and has been fighting against the corrupt governement since the age of 14. As the government forces announced that they intended to isolate the city McNeill claimed this was a sign of the inability of the Kaitaine Defence Force (KDF) to take the city. "They've tried, they've battered us with every type of weapon and tactic they can drag up, what they fail to realise is that those of us willing to give our lives to defend this holy ground have grown up here. We know every brick, every grain of sand and every alleyway. There is no way this city will fall as long as there are those of us still capable of holding a firearm." While the total number of Truthsayers in the city is not known McNeill did confirm new defenders are arriving daily. "Seitch is a desert city close to the mountains, here in the East the Bene Gesserit faith still holds, and I'm sure in the cities of the west there are still many who, in secret and afraid, hold the Sisterhood dear. The locals are using the desert to move here knowing that the Gods won't want us to let the city fall without a fight. I know around Mundus we have sisters doing what they can, they must act as the preservers of our faith even if Seitch finally falls." The city is suspected to hold a vast array of food and water and has hundreds of miles of tunnels that are known intimatly by the Truthsayers. ![]() TRUTHSAYERS NOT "TRAPPED" WIth Kaitaine government sources talking about the "Seige of Seitch" and claiming they have the city bottled up a group of young Truthsayers set out to test that theory. The three young soldiers set off in the dead of night and along with a "We are The Resistance" photographer made their way some 40km across the desert to a Truthsayer stronghold. There the three girls contacted Seitch informing the soldiers remaining there of their success. The group then rested up, filled their rucksacks with as many packets of dehydrated rations as possible and retraced their steps. The three managed to bring around 45kg of food back to those who remained as well as vital intelligence of KDF positions. One of the girls, whose names have been witheld for security purposes said. "Like the rest of the world we daily get the news from Pravada. We appreciate it is difficult to get word out into the wider world, but this outlet exists and we needed to show the situation here is not what the McPherson regime would have people think. We in no way are in danger of being overrun, now its obvious we are not a fully equipped military machine like our oppressors but we're going to hold this city. We're better trained, more committed and we know this city and its surrounds like the back of our hands. The desert here is our home, its in our souls, they don't have that and sooner or later they'll realise sitting around in our backyard will end badly for them." Truthsayer Commander Joanna McNeill confirmed that the group will regularly be coming and going from Seitch saying, "This is our land, we go where we want, when we want, the KDF can't stop us. This conflict is beginning to attract media attention and we believe Rokkenjima have now recognised our plight. This could see interesting times ahead. We will be focusing our efforts on the next few days in settling down as we're expecting a few storms, then we'll see what this KDF seige is really made of." McNeill has offered international media a unique insight into the Truthsayers via a satellite phone. |

![]() ![]() TRUTHSAYERS "BETRAYED" Following an announcement from Rokkenjima's Empress that they are now withdrawing their Genocide Recognition Act the commander of the Truthsayers in Seitch, Joanna McNeill says the fighters there feel betrayed. As the Siege of Seitch enters its second week the group had been hopeful for international pressure helping lift their cause. The Commander spoke saying, "When a nation like Rokkenjima supports your cause then you suspect that something big is going to happen soon. We had held out in hope that the sanctions would force the McPherson regime to at least lift the siege for fear of being seen as outcasts from the international community and now we've seen this 180 destroy that. We've worked hard to defend the Holy City, and we've worked hard to get our plight recognised, now because of misguided international pressure we're back at square one." It had been hoped that support from outside the nation would lead to the Bene Gesserit faith being recognised internationally following the release of hundreds of key documents explaining the origin and teaching of the faith. McNeill has also recently taken part in an international press call via secure satellite phone however it now appears that this has not improved the faiths standing amongst the international community. McNeill explained, "We're around 200 women holding back an army, what we could do with is some of those outside Kaitaine realising this is a human rights issue and not some civil war." |

![]() SEITCH SEIGE NOW ENTERS 2ND MONTH Two months ago members of the Kaitaine Defence Force attempted to turn the Bene Gesserit Holy City into a ghost town. Under claims of the cities water supplies being polluted and the air quality being unfit for habitation the KDF evacuated around 4,500 people who had not heeded the orders to evacuate. Amongt the walls of the city however loyal Truthsayers of the Bene Gesserit faith prepared to defend their homeland. It took four days of fierce street fighting in the narrow city streets to halt the KDF advance and then despite use of air power and armour the Truthsayers continuted their fight, even capturing two tanks. The KDF then change tactics instead laying seige to the city in hopes of starving the Truthsayers out. That has failed, this publication has shown on several occasions members of the Truthsayers slipping past the KDF lines in both directions. It had been hoped that international pressure coming from Rokkenjima would have swung things to give Truthsayers a chance to fight back, howver this failed to materialise. The Truthsayers however have been inflicting their own savage revenge, nightly Truthsayer commando's slip into KDF positions using their trademark Crystknives to slit throats, most nights the KDF wake up to find four or five of their comrades dead but as one dies the so called President McPherson is able to send more and more. Daily life in Seitch is structured to keep the Truthsayers active and their faith intact. Most days at sunrise you can find small groups of Truthsayers arriving at the steps of the former Corrino Palace, a place turned into a military command post by the Soviets, here they practice their Pranu Bindu[1]. This lasts almost an hour and as the women finish they head off around the city checking positions and bobby traps as well as building new ones. They take turns collecting what water they can from secret caches and springs around the city before settling in to observe enemy lines and engage anyone who dares come too close, and these days that isn't many. While staying ever vigilent of snipers and air strikes means moving around the city isn't always easy people are trying to act as normal. The city is home to some 10 children under the age of 16 who are still receiving a traditional Bene Gesserit education, something the residents of Seitch have managed to provide the nations hidden faithful for over 100 years. While the rest of the world are content to ignore this blatant breach of human rights the Truthsayers will fight on.
