Using an encrypted satellite phone Truthsayer Commander Joanna McNeill and Senior Officer Elizabeth Eastwood have found time to make contact with the media. The phone will be accessable by the media for the next hour (in RL until people have no more questions) and they welcome the international press. | |||

The old castles cellar was dark, and the walls extremely thick. A location carefully picked to house the current Regent's Private meetings with his Advisers, and in this case, an unofficial Diplomatic exchange. As Admiral Eidmeier and general Straussenhof had taken a Seat in front of a small coffee Table, Prince Albrecht walked into the conference Room, closing the Door behind himself. "Everything's ready boy." the General said as he pointed to a small Telephone, him and the Admiral putting Earpieces in so the would follow the conversation as Albrecht picked up and established the connection: "This is Prince Albrecht, Regent to the Empire of Neu Uburzis. Aside from me, two of my most trusted Advisers are listening to this exchange." Albrecht waited for a moment, taking a seat, and as the transmission did not seem to have been cancelled, he spoke again: "We offer to listen to you as representatives of the Empire, Commander McNeil and Officer Eastwood. There are two Main Things we would like to know. Number one, how do you intend to Rule the State currently known as Kaitaine should you succeed? And would you be willing to suspend violent intervention outside of Kaitainian Borders." After a Brief moment of silence, the Regent added: "We do not expect you to be able to fully answer the first question at this point and time frame, so we ask you to give us a short answer and send us a full explanation on a later date. As for the second, the truth is that you look barely much better than the system you fight at this point. Breaking other Nations Borders without their consent is painting you the terrorists your Enemy want's us to see you. We offer to take a different look at you, but you must understand that under such action it is hard. We are talking solely about your actual actions, and not the blatantly obvious nonsense Kaitaine is printing on paper." Another pause, and after a brief exchange of nods between the three participants, Albrecht adds: "As a token of our Goodwill, we offer to direct our police forces to turn a blind eye on your non lethal operations in the Empire, current and the ones in the near future for as long as our exploratory talks last." Keeping the silence for now, the three of them nodded silently, waiting for a reaction. |

Joanna hadn't expected such a high profile questioner. "Our plan for Kaitaine is very simple. Kaitaine is the birth place of the Bene Gesserit faith. In the same way that Odnists look to Nya Aland, Cult of Helus followers look to East Moreland, the faithful of the Bene Gesserit, whom despite what the Soviet puppets would have you believe, number in their millions, they view Kaitaine as their spiritual home. The island of Chapterhouse, the desert of Seitch, these run through the spiritual life blood of our brothers and sisters, regardless of where on Mundus they are. Kaitaine would, once we're victorious, become a centre of Bene Gesserit rule. The ancient rule of a Reverend Mother, elected from the Priestesses of the Sisterhood would be restored, supported by a representative of each of the hidden Holy Houses. Other faiths, and those of no faith have nothing to fear under a Bene Gesserit theocracy, we are a faith still searching for our own truths, and as such we believe that all religions have an element of truth to them which is worth exploring. Within the Truthsayer movement there is a fully worked out plan that would see the state of Kaitaine reborn within three months of us defeating the Soviets." She concluded confidently. "This has been over a hundred years in the making." "As for your second point. There has been no Truthsayers involved in what your calling " violent intervention". As commander of our forces I have all hell on my hands fighting here and need every fighter I can, I do not have the manpower nor resources to carry out any actions you believe we have [1]. I believe you may on this point have been duped by Pravada" [1] I believe your talking about the attack on the Kaitaine ambassador to Mercia, that was claimed by a group called the Swordmasters, whom no one has heard of til then. |

The three people inside the room listened carefully, nodding to each other and muting the microphone for a shot moment as they listened to the Truthsayers words. A moment of thought, and a cup of tea Albrecht responded: "We, as the Empire, while not judging over your right to Rule as a Theocracy, are concerned right now that you take the aspect of the civilians and their involvement too lightly for a Nation after Pravada. As for that reason we ask for a manifest with your ideas. Nothing that would give away your strategy, but a Piece of work that might reassure us you are capable of running a Nation in more than just words and war. Also we would kindly ask for a compilation work of the base of your faith. Most available sources are heavily biased through Pravada's viewpoint. That way we can forward something to our press if you wish too." Exchanging glances to his Advisers, Albrecht added: "Any more you would need of us? I repeat my statement that as a sign of goodwill we will ensure to have our Police forces not interfere with any Operations inside the Empire, current ones or ones you might want to establish, for as long as we stay on good Terms. Else we would not take up more time of this connection and would free the channels to others. I am sure you are more than capable of establishing a secure communication with us again." |

"The people of Kaitaine will be involved in our government, the Bene Gesserit do not stand above the people, but beside them shoulder to shoulder. Look at the two of us, we don't come from families of privledge, we come from the people and have risen to the positions we have through merit. You look at some of the nations across Mundus that we hear are coming to your nations up coming coronation, monarchies, each with a leader who can dismiss the will of their people just because of the luck of their birth. Meanwhile the Bene Gesserit select and promote people based on one factor, talent. You'll see a nation where all get the same oppurtunities and those best suited to lead will do so." Joanna smiled when asked for a compilation, "Our faith is the faith of the world. Bene Gesserits admit we don't know the Truth, but we seek it. That's the point of our faith, its liquid, we search for answers and as we find them our faith changes. Some things run throughout, for now, the importance of the desert, of rituals, meditation, but our knowledge of God/Gods is flexible. OOC- Much later than planned and slightly adapted from what it was. Nix Williams sat at a table in one of the isolation rooms in Justicar Operations, the existence of this feed and the opportunity to talk to the Truthsayer's was one that couldn't be missed. What was blocking off the international community was a lack of objectivity, a lack of evidence, a lack of knowledge. They needed to see for themselves what was going on. "Nix Williams I work with Achkaerinese intelligence" Nix said introducing herself while looking at the two women on the other end of the feed "I've been asked by my superiors to clarify your situation in terms of food, water and the like. And to also ask, and I know how this sounds but evidently my superiors wish to be certain, can you help us in acquiring evidence of what is going on in that city?" |

It was left to Elizabeth to answer the question, "We're a people used to the desert and hardship, water and food aren't an issue at all. This is a situation that's been in the planning since the Truthsayer War of the 1970's. If the KDF think they're going to seige us out of here they have an exceptionally long wait ahead of them. They're in our backyard, the desert and that means while the KDF are sat on their backsides we come and go as we please." While it was slightly bravado it wasn't a lie, every night since the siege had started a patrol of four Truthsayers had headed out of the city and brought back supplies. Meanwhile they'd also had more Truthsayers wander in of their own accord. When she asked about evidence it was McNeill who responded. "We have our media outlet, its reporting almost daily on the going on's inside Seitch. It's a web news outlet run by several of our fighters who have some writing experience." It was in fact two members of the Missionara Protectiva who had been writing the articles. "In terms of day to day life we're trying to make things as routine as possible. We work shifts, we have some schooling, we have a hospital. Most days the KDF fire a few random shells or air strikes into the city but nothing we can't handle. At prestent they seem content on trying to starve us out." |
