Raid in Doshoko Reveals Truthsayer Arms Trafficking Ring
Posted Image
Truthsayer Hideout

DOSHOKO, MEZLU -- The military has announced that on the border town of Doshoko, 31km from the Kaitaine border, Special Forces were deployed in rapid response to intelligence reports that indicated an illegal weapon cache was in possession of Truthsayers in the town. Royal Information and Surveillence Bureau(RISB) Director Kesu lu Dode, addressed this morning to the press that, "The Truthsayers have been operating within Tokulel for months, back-channeling to acquire weapons and traffic them into Kaitaine. In Doshoko, a large weapon cache was found stocked with military grade weapons, ammo and explosives."

The RISB is keeping most details on the supposed house raid confidential, however they have confirmed two deaths on the scene, one a Special Forces Operator and another an assumed Truthsayer member. Explosions were heard at the event and the RISB is accounting for 2 civilians wounded, but in full recovery.

Speaking on behalf of the Governorate, The High Scepter[1], released a statement later in the day assuring relations with Kaitaine saying, "We are willing to work cooperatively with Kaitaine to apprehend the danger that poses to threaten both of our nations." The High Scepter signed off today on an official order composed by the Governorate which places stricter oversight of the border. Representing the edict, Governor Thok Huttushe comments saying, "We look forward to cooperating with with Kaitainese border authorities. However, we will also be working stateside to address the illegal procurement of Tokulelese arms."

It's suspected that Tokulelese who were participating in national service may have colluded with the Truthsayers, somehow moving large volumes of arms over time.

NozuTech Drone

SOPSHOU, KOSOT -- NozuTech has announced the city-wide testing of their new mass drone delivery system, nicknamed Dragonfly, in the capital city Sopshou. The well-known technology company is teaming up with Puhusut Warehouses and creating a delivery giant.

This announcement comes after the Koshonoót[2] passed a set of air travel regulations for top-rotary drones, suggested by the Aerospace Management Directory. This system lay's out a grid for drones to fly on and with the construction of 'sensor hubs' in the city these drones can fly autonomously to their destination and back. Passing government inspections, Nozutech has been given the right away to test the system. These lanes will be restricted in where they go, their altitude and how many drones can fly on these airways at any time.

The test will include the entire capital and the surrounding metro area. It's rumored Nozutech and Puhusut are looking for different areas of the world to expand the testing of their drone delivery system.

Royal Directorate Condemns Sanctions on Kaitaine, Prepare For Economic Slowdown

Q'echiya Castle Press Secretary, Awahe Okoth

SOPSHOU, KOSOT'I -- Today, Šuhéa[1] Nyuku announced that the Royal Directorate and himself condemn the economic sanctions on Kaitaine announced by Rokkenjima yesterday. In an the opening statement's to the press regarding the announcement, Q'echiya Castle Secretary Awahe Okoth, said the sanctions were "Reactionary and ill-thought" saying, "The imposed economic sanctions on Kaitaine adversely affect Tokulel, and more so if the entire CSU upholds them. As a landlocked nation Tokulel is dependent on our neighbor's political and economic stability. This unilateral Rokkenjiman policing throws Tokulel, into an impossible position."

It is noted that since the communist revolution in Kaitaine, Tokulel has strove for stable relations with their eastern neighbor. The communist uprising in Kaitaine directly affected the politics of Tokulel, democratizing the country in an effort to avoid class uprisings as inspiration.

Mutual trade has benefited both countries, "Tokulel is a rising modern state, we are dependent on trade and mutual relationships. Our history with Kaitaine has proven fruitful in our adaptations." the press secretary states. "If the entirety of the CSU imposes these sanctions, it will decimate Kaitaine's economy and in effect, ours."

The Economic Royal Directory has assured that measures are being taken to safeguard imports. "These sanctions on Kaitaine are sanctions on Tokulel, as well." Governor-Director Kipka Muag'iai, head of the Economic Directory, stated.

Wildfire Spreads Over 75,000 Acres; Country in Worst Drought in Over a Century
Posted Image
Fighting Near Amtushel

Wildfires are spreading at an intense pace throughout the east of the country and southern tip, at over 74,000 acres. Firefighters are unable to contain the fires and Omatsi Governor-Director, Kata Ongiyano, has issued a state of emergency. "The fires are projected to reach Amtushel City, therefore we are taking precautionary measures to evacuate the city." press office of the Governor-Director stated. However, there are more logistical issues the state and many others are facing. The Royal Govenorate Directory just yesterday ordered nationwide rationing of water restricting and cutting off "Unnecessary use", except for a few select areas. The lack of rain nationwide, had brought on the worst drought the nation has seen in one hundred years, with the unpredicted failing of crops and intense heat. The nation has been up to 55 degrees in the some areas with no rain in over a year.

Worst, is that few rivers are due to dry up because the lack of snow from the mountains feeding few streams. The dryness has made forest fires all too common and several towns have already been evacuated accordingly. The worst fire in Tokulel history was the Tenihaal valley fire, which burns over 18,000 acres and caused the evacuation of the southern part of the capital city. One citizen in the process of fleeing Amtushel has said, "If we were the capital city and jewel of the League, we would be saved immediately. But I guess since the Shuhea's Palace isn't here we're left out the dry heat and wind." many firefighters are giving the same sentiment, with Chief Balod Goueliae stating, "We have requested government but have gotten none. My fighters are out here in the scorching heat trying to fight this thing but the top level is ignoring it. Barely, we have gotten airforce support to spray down the fires, but it has been minimal and uncoordinated at best."

A week ago, in the fires infancy, a total of 30 firefighters and 10 other emergency repsonders were surrounded and killed by the raging flames. Last week along over 12,000 people have been displaced and with Amtushel in the path of the fire, that number is about to jump to 3 million, which includes to entire metro area and sprawl. "If we lose Amutshel." Chief Balod states. "We may as well lose Noghali, the next biggest city that has an infestation of dry bush."

Last Tokulelese World War II Veteran Passes Away at 108
Posted Image
Zali T'al

"We fought everywhere, for our country, our sovereignty, and ofcourse to prove we were best pilots in the world." Zali T'al joked, last Wednesday at the annual national airshow, where he took a ride for the last time in his own, newly restored Tokulelese ZD-04 Viper, named "Kuaili" after the squadron dog he looked after. The plane had seen multiple theatres of war around Mundus during World War 2, scoring kills on over 340 Ardian Alliance aircraft. Though Zali wasn't the top scoring ace Tokulelese ace of the war, we was among the best, feared by the enemy pilots and exalted by allies. Tokulelese pilots overall saw action all over the world, volunteering in different countries as mercenary pilot groups ant eventually fought for Tokulel when it joined the war.

Air combat was Tokulel's focus in the war, eventually engineering the notoriously fast ZD-17 to escort long range bombers, foreign and domestic. However, the Tokulelese Ace group's story was not done after the war. Zali T'al alongside seventy other aces returned to their tenure as 'sky pirates' and 'mercenaries', providing their services in the form of training and combat. The group flew multiple jet aircraft and continues to exist today as a private enterprise of aviators. The legacy Zali T'al 'eaves behind will continue to inspire future generations of Tokulelese aviators.
