![]() Imperial Decree Concerning Eva Anselmo Upon my return to Neo Rokkenjima I had been informed that I was the last living member of the Anselmo family. My mother and father were claimed by the bullets of assassins, the Federal Republic fearing that they had made a mistake in simply exiling my family decades ago. If it were not for the loyalty and dedication of Admiral Cole and my former Prime Minister, Evangeline, I too would have been murdered. The liberation of Rokkenjima would never have happened, and the murderers of my family would have escaped justice. The Federal Republic attempted a purge of the Anselmo family and, aside from my parents, they claimed the lives of my sister, brother, aunts and uncles, as well as those of my cousins. Until the day before I believed their campaign had been successful, that I was the sole survivor of my family. Eva Anselmo, my cousin, was discovered hiding in the hills of Arovium in what appeared to be a concealed safe house. Due to the seclusion of the safe house and the lack of power she had not heard the news of my return; the Imperial Army discovered her in the early days of the Liberation of Arovium. To ensure everything is in proper order Eva Anselmo has been recognized as a member of the Imperial Family. Princess Eva shall be addressing the Empire in the coming hours to introduce herself to the people of Rokkenjima and shall be assuming her duties in the coming days. As a student of geopolitics, international diplomacy and law she shall head many of Rokkenjima's diplomatic and foreign efforts, working with Imperial Councilor Albright to ensure a continued fertile ground for our foreign policies. I have already suggested that she be considered as the first Secretary General of the Covenant of Nations and will allow her the chance to provide her credentials in her address. Today is a day of blessings, for Eva has been returned to us! That is all. Lady Beatrice ![]() Eva Anselmo, Princess of Rokkenjima |

December 25, 2013 1:15 pm Official dispatch from King Michael My dear Empress Beatrice, Today is indeed a day of blessings, and is recognized as such by many across the globe. I speak for myself and, I hope, the whole nation of Tytor when I offer my sincere congratulations for your reunion. I wish you, your cousin, and all your people a merry Christmas, even those of you who do not celebrate it. Sincerely, -Michael I, King of Tytor |

![]() Imperial Decree Text of Princess Eva's Speech My fellow Rokkenjimans, The burden upon my heart has been heavy, and I have been tired for so long that I almost cannot remember the last time I slept. Perhaps it was the last night I spent with my mother and father, hours before Republican soldiers stormed the house we were hiding in. My mother couldn't escape with me, her honour as a woman wouldn't let her stand by while armed men attacked her family. Nor could my father leave her side, having spent so many years at her side he had resolved himself to enter the next life as such. I escaped into the hills of Arovium, though you may ask what I was doing in Rokkenjima when much of the Imperial Family had been exiled. While my grandmother departed Rokkenjima with the rest of our family my grandmother vowed her return and, when the opportunity presented itself she returned with my grandfather. Concealing our family name and status we lived in Arovium for years, awaiting the day justice would be restored to our nation and vindication would be ours. Thus I have survived in seclusion, using my knowledge of the land to survive undetected by the Republicans. When soldiers finally found where I had been hiding I feared the worst, though upon meeting them I noted that their uniform was not that of the Federal Republic. I was not greeted with guns pointed at me but with true and honest concern and relief. I remember one of the soldiers had a telephone which, after any doubt concerning their identities had been dispelled, was handed to me. It was then, for the first time in years, I heard the voice of my cousin. Much tragedy has been inflicted not just upon my family but upon our entire nation by the forces of the Republicans. When I set foot in Pyrena Castle again the first to greet me was Beatrice and in that moment the burden upon my heart was lighter, for I knew I no longer bore it alone. Her smile alone comforted me and in it I saw a new future, I saw that our persecution was over and that a new day had dawned over Rokkenjima. Our long night was finally over, finally we had been awakened from our collective nightmare. Now a new chapter of my life begins. Beatrice has asked me to take a greater role in the Imperial Government as her Vicegerent, a position which will see me mostly working to further the First Empire's foreign interests and a position which I have gladly accepted. The education my mother and father blessed me with have prepared me for this task and it is a responsibility I greet with joy and anticipation. I shall begin my work immediately, and am greatly honoured to serve our People! Charles Foster Ofdensen has been named Lord High Steward. In this capacity he shall maintain his current responsibilities and powers and I know that we will work well together. Rokkenjima, I have finally joined you in our liberation, in our beautiful tomorrow. Let us never forget the sacrifices which have been made, the people we have lost, to arrive here. Princess Eva Vicegerent of the First Empire ![]() Imperial Decree Sincere Thanks to the Nations of the World I thank you all for your well wishes and celebration alongside Rokkenjima in the return of Princess Eva. For me it is the greatest gift which I could have received, to know that Eva has survived and perhaps a chance remains that there are yet more family members who could be waiting to return home. As Eva said, our long night is over and we've awoken from that dreaded nightmare. Yet another light of hope guides Rokkenjima as she recovers! In one weeks time from now a celebration will be held at Pyrena Castle in honour of Princess Eva. All nations are welcome to come and celebrate with us and to honour not only those who remain with us, but the blessed dead as well. I wish everyone the best of wishes in this season; my spirits continue to be lifted anew. Lady Beatrice |

Dear Lady Beatrice, I too know the pain of losing a loved one in revolution, and it brings a fuzzy feeling to my heart to see someone reunite with a thought lost family member. It would be my honor to attend such a important and happy celebration. I know our countries do not see eye to eye, but maybe in this celebration of your cousins location and your countries victory we could forge a personal friendship. I will be attending the celebration and look forward to seeing you. With Kind Regards, ![]() Joseph Stalin The United Soviet Russia |

I for one simply could not bear to live without family, and suppose it proves your mighty endurance. Dear Lady Beatrice, May I, on behalf of His Majesty's Government, extend my warmest and most sincere congratulate to you on the discovery of your cousin, Eva Anselmo. As an ally of Neo Rokkenjima, Dartfordia is committed to ensuring Princess Eva receives the welcome that she, as a member of the Imperial family, deserves. The people of Dartfordia have expressed their delight at the news and extend their own congratulations to you and your surviving family member. It is also my sad duty to inform you that this shall be my last official correspondence with you as Foreign Secretary. After the incident of the Peace Conference, I have found my position untenable and have formally submitted my resignation, recommending Luke Foreman as my replacement. Yours faithfully, Harry Riptide Secretary of State for Foreign and Independent Order Affairs Lady Beatrice, I am delighted to hear about your family reunion and I sincerely hope she adjusts well to her new role. Like you I have experienced the sadness and anger of having family members killed during war, it is most fortunate that despite the campaign to eradicate your family, there are survivors. It offers hope in the darkest of times. If Your Most Esteemed Empress would not mind, I hope to extend your invitation to my wife and son, as is fit for a family occasion. Wishing you all the best, ![]() George I |

![]() Imperial Dispatch Mr. Petnov, On behalf of the Rokkenjiman people I thank you for your kind and warm words. So many questions had been left before the day before and, while clouds linger into today, the rays of a bright future break through. I'm confident in Eva'a ability to bridge differences and see Arovium brought back into the fold, and as for the Republicans I fee that they know their age has drawn to an end. Pockets of their resistance remains, yet even those are no more a threat than a street gang. They're a blight that will be removed by our police, percisely the amount of attention and regard they deserve. I am pleased and honoured that you'll be in attendance for the celebrations and have taken several measures to ensure the 'interruptions' of our last visit aren't allowed to take place again. It shall be good to see you again, and I shall be looking forward to your arrival! Sincerely, Lady Beatrice Empress of Rokkenjima Mr. Riptide, I am humbled and joyed to receive this message on behalf of His Majesty's Government and thank you. Our road has been long and hard but, at last, it has come to end with familiar faces. The Rokkenjiman people thank their Dartfordian brothers and sisters, and I thank a nation which has stood by Rokkenjima steadfastly through some of our weaker moments. I'm certain that Princess Eva shares the gratitude Rokkenjima feels for the Kingdom! As for me, personally, much has been returned to me that I thought would be gone forever. Eva returning to safety overwhelmed me emotionally, yet the prospect that more of relatives may be out there is a bitter-sweet thought. As Ronove told me, we'll just have to progress one day at a time. It disappoints me that this shall be our last exchange, I rather looked forward to our discourse and shall miss it. I trust that your replacement will serve us well in your place. I wish you the best in whatever path life leads you upon next, Mr. Riptide. Rokkenjima's shores are always open should you need rest and vacation. Sincerely, Lady Beatrice Empress of Rokkenjima Your Highness, I, and Eva, appreciate your message and thank you. Already Eva has taken on a variety of roles, not wishing to slow down upon her return. I cannot blame her though, I wished to change the world when I first stepped foot in Pyrena Castle. Eva has that same spark and it warms me to see how much we have in common. I'm sorry to hear of the losses you too have seen in war, it's a pain and void which most are unable to understand. Hope has been the one thing Rokkenjima has had in her dark hours, and hope is what Rokkenjima seems to have become. A hope for the Anselmo family, a hope for a better future for our people, and a hope for a better world. Hope is the currency I intend to heal a great many wrongs with, as they've been healed for me. I would be honoured to extend our invitation to your wife and son and shall ensure all preparations are made before your arrival to Rokkenjima. Respectfully yours, Lady Beatrice Empress of Rokkenjima Edited by Beatrice, 30th December 2013 - 08:12 PM.
