Realized that the auto points system is fully operational. Love that its up and running. (Not sure how long it has been just realized it.) Just have a few questions and one minor thing I found that I would like to bring to your attention. I have been through all the members and two characters' points are lower than their total reiastu, Setsuko and Rorek. I am under the understanding that the point systems are awarded by post times 2, plus a bonus afterwards. *Will the bonus points still be rewarded at the conclusions of a thread? *Will you still be awarded less if post doesn't reach minumun of 250? *Will the system award points from post made in threads OOC? (Posted this and reiatsu points did go up, can be abused if not careful.) Edited by Daichi, Apr 3 2014, 07:06 AM.

Yes. At the end of a thread, bonus will be awarded based on average post size and content quality. Yes. Smaller posts lead to smaller bonus, and even negative ones that will be deducted from the reiatsu pool. Yes. Every post give 2 reiatsu, even OOC ones like the ones on this thread. However, as long as there isn't clear abuse (like consecutive one line posts), there will be no problem. I chose to do so in order to encourage members to discuss freely in the forum, give constructive suggestions for the current site, say hi and help out new members. That way, there is a reward to not just rp but to help the site grow as well. Edited by AdminPower, Apr 5 2014, 07:43 PM.

Ah, I had been wondering about those points myself. Thank you for clarifying them! For a while I thought that the bonus SP at the end of each thread had been done away with for threads that were not made before the change, but I'm glad to see it's still in use. I'm glad it's still an operation that's in place as it gives people more of an incentive to be posting and posting reasonably sized content. It not only helps grow the site and make things fun, it makes for more interesting developments and helps people get more of a feel for RP, letting them learn to be better at it earlier as they go on. As for the comment about Setsuko and Rorek, I do believe that it comes from the rule about characters from the Old RP forum. When we transfered, our amount of posts did not, but we kept all of our points essentially. When this happened, it made the change from the old system to the new automatic one leave a discrepancy in their numbers of reiatsu, leaving them with far less numbers than they actually have. I know that Setsuko was from the old forum, but I don't quite know about Rorek, but I would venture to guess he was too. Good to see certain things are still going and I hope that clears up the confusion and seemingly strange error! |
