She sits upon the edge of the building, the light breeze moving her long hair even as her body remains still as a statue, her golden gaze locked onto the street below even though her mind was centuries away, seeing a different street and different people in a far smaller town without the tall temples of glass and stone that dominated the modern sky. Should anyone had asked the figure, she would be unable to say how long she had been sitting upon the concrete looking down on the busy life below, she had no purpose, no task to complete or hunger to appease, nothing to remind her of the passage of time that passed her by. Yet for as much as she was out of times passage she was not untouched by it, within her mind things changed slowly, her focus on the past and her gaze on the present another was able to work towards her new future, undisturbed in its work, no friends troubled its host with their problems, no hollows stalked to incite the need to hunt, undisturbed it worked its magic to firm its grip on the future, hidden within the mind of a girl that was without task or purpose, its host losing herself to times past and letting it gain power, yet it was not yet time, the host was still strong of mind and its own strength fractured from that battle long ago, for now it was content to let his host sit under the sky and watch those she would envy if she had true feelings of her own, for now both would wait for something to change, anything that would give purpose or advantage to one or the other. So lost within herself she did not feel the rain start to fall, nor notice the street empty, her golden eyes stared blindly down unblinking, waiting. |

Life had become an utter bore and with all the things that he has seen in his journey he simply contemplated on what the future hold. Only if he was a fortuneteller but then where is the fun in that. He was simply a Professor, nothing more and nothing less. Rorek smiled as he stared out of a window seat, his meal before him already devoured and in process of digestion. The perfect time for thought. Then there was the tender sound of rain against the glass pane. Wonderful the rain was. It helped him think more but also the feel of it upon his skin was soothing. After taking care of his bill he departed and stepped out into the rain. The streets were practically empty except for a few cars but that was fine by him. His hair wet, strands fell into his face, his attire completely soaked but it didn't sway him. He continued to walk with no destination clear in mind, his thoughts carried him and the rain soothed him. OOC: kind of a bad post but been a little while |

She had no reason to follow the man below her and in truth had not even spared it a thought, still thinking of the past and paying the present almost no mind her body had started to follow the man below. perhaps it was simply his raw power that drew her towards him, a simple reflex for a moth to follow the brightest light or maybe some part of her mind recognized in him something to break her out of the mental loop she was trapped within, regardless of the reason she followed him through the rain. had her mind been fully on stalking the man she would have stayed up high, blended her energy into the area to avoid detection or even plan out his most likely route and circle around to get the drop on him, she certainly would not have followed him out in the open on a near deserted street. Keeping pace perhaps a dozen paces behind him she walked without regard for the rain that was plastering her blue and silver kimono to her body, nor how her long silver hair was soon waterlogged and hanging limp, her golden gaze remained half lidded as she followed the man without real reason or cause as the rain continued to fall. |

As he kept walking aimlessly with his thoughts and to the sound of the rain, something else caught his attention. A Person. Someone was tailing him but he paid no immediate attention. There was no threat of immediate danger otherwise he would have been able to tell so he kept walking but now his mind had a minor focus. His pace didn't quicken or slowed, no change could be seen in him after his realization of being followed. But it did amuse him as to why. He wasn't much special in human terms but maybe it wasn't because of that. Ahh he was right, how could he have not notice whom or what was tailing him. It hasn't been that long since he last had to put his skill to some use so it wasn't unthinkable to believe that he was becoming a bit rustic with his aging. Grabbing his wet braid he began to squeeze some of the excess water from it as he made a left. Rorek walked up a few stairs onto a deserted pedestrian over pass and stood underneath a street light. He turned and gazed upon the female Arrancar whose blue and silver kimono was drenches just as he was. Staring into her golden eyes it seemed as if she wasn't altogether there. "Is there something that I could assist you with my dear." |

She followed him as she he walked, letting him set the pace and the route without thought or real purpose, so distant from now that she rain was not felt as it hit her skin, the slight shivers that coursed through her body had little to do with her water logged clothing. So distracted by a thought in her mind she failed to notice when the man stopped although her body was more reactive, bringing itself to a halt with a respectful distance between them. When he spoke however she gave almost no reaction to his voice, standing still almost unblinking and almost limp, her gaze unfocused as her head tilted slightly to one side, as the silence stretched on she gave no real sign that she had understood his words or even that she had heard them at all. “master is not coming back for Kovou is he? what did she do wrong?” Her voice was low and her words softly spoken, almost lost to the rain, more shivers started to wrack her frame giving her voice a slight tremble despite the absence of emotion from her voice, her golden eyes remained semi focused on the man even as her arms moved to hug her body, drawing more into herself as if trying to make her already tiny body smaller, as though to hide from something that only she knew, the focus of her mind still far from here and the man she had followed. |

The female figure came to a halt but still seemed to be absent minded in presence. Her head had now titled slightly to one side. Was she confused as to what he was saying, it sure did seem that was to him at first glance. But then she spoke...... Her voice was quite low but the distance between them wasn't too great that he couldn't make out what was being said. "Master is not coming back for Kovou is he? What did she do wrong?" He mind was trying to decipher this sentence but this didn't show on his face. His expression the same as before. Kovou, was she referring to herself in the third person, that seemed the most viable answer from the little information given. Master, hmmm he wondered who that might be and why she thought she did something wrong. Maybe she did, maybe she didn't, he just didn't have enough to go on. Rorek made an inquisitive face and stroked his chin hairs as if in deep thought. "Well Kovou, I don't know who your master was but how long have you been waiting for me and why did you follow me. Clearly I'm no ones masters." He watched as she continued to hug herself, she seemed to be colds or missing her master embrace or something. Whatever it was she seemed lost in that hug. |

"Everyday it fades, colours fade as she waits, Kovou has waited for so long she can barely see through the veil of grey, its all so empty, a city of glass and stone full of shades and shadows." Turning her gaze she focuses on the man fully for the first time, golden orbs fully open and aware as her body unfolds into a more predatory stance, more fluid and ready spring forward at a moments notices. “she can feel you though, to Kovou you glow brightly, a flash of light in an empty void, She needed to feel it, take it into herself so that she can be warm again for but a moment..” She trails off, the aggressive edge that had started to build in her voice falling away sharply as he body relaxes and starts to huddle into itself again, eyes almost closing completely as her wet hair slides forward to hide most of her face. “But then you would be gone and kovou would be lost again, she tries so hard to wait, even when everything changed she still waits, she has waited so very long and is growing so very tired, she no longer even hunts those that can make her feel any longer, she just waits, why has he forgotten her, he told her to wait here, why did he never return, Kovou has waited so long its starting to hurt, she thinks she‘s breaking and no one knows she’s even still here” Her knees fold up as she drops to her knees on the wet pavement even as her arms come up to hide her face from the world around her, the wet kimono sleeves falling back to expose slender arms and the rusty iron manacles that clamped onto the her scared wrists “Help, she does not know what she is meant to do anymore” Kovou barely whispers, more to herself than any listener, already pulling her senses away from the world to hide deeper in her mind as her tiny frames starts to shake from the cold she felt that had little to do with the rain that hammered her small body. |

The words that form on the Kovou's lips emitted only sadness and hopelessness. What has she been through and exactly how long has she been waiting on this so called master that never made an appearance. The master must have met his end and now she was here to wait for the rest of eternity. Without any direction or drive. Then his earring started to vibrate and her tone and stance changed to one more offensive. Her golden eyes met his auburn ones for the first time. His posture never changed, all he felt was the need for belonging. The vibrations ceased and so did her aggressive edge. Her sadness had overcome her once again and she collapsed to her knees. Rorek quickly approach her as her wet kimono draping a slender deprived girl revealed her arms, bond and scared. HELP.... That's the word that broke through any doubt he had. He would help this Kovou. Stooping down to her level, the rain still bombarding their bodies, he extended a hand. "Help....That was the magic word. Lets get you warm, fill that void of yours and remove those uncomfortable bonds." Edited by Rorek, Sep 9 2012, 04:29 AM.
