Akio smiled as he listened to the Quincy. For one so young he was very perceptive of the world and wise for his age. He admired him a little, he wondered if he was that wise at that age. He was reborn as a Shinigami and lived for centuries and has become very wise, with age came his experience and wisdom. Yet Daichi-san was wise beyond his age.

"Very perceptive Daichi-san, no wonder you are one of the Quincy Elders that remain, even though you are so young." He was smiling now and then his face saddened as his mind returned to the story he was telling.

"After that incident in the human realm we all knew, well most of us guessed at what was to happen next, just couldn't predict when. Most of us were prepared and out strong hold have their own built in defensive that made unwanted access nothing but a child's dream. Sure they may have been minute ways but those with reiastu were physically barred from entering without special know how." Stretching his neck a little he continued to speak and tell his tale. "The day finally came when they decided to strike. The Arrancars brought those monstrosities, many this time and even more things that they didn't reveal before. Things that may or may not tilt the battle either way. The positioned themselves on the outskirts of the districts and started attacking the civilians. It soon became evident what they wanted to do. They were using them as fuel for their machine and that was not acceptable. Divisions were deployed to stay the attacks while evacuating there there was a large boom."

A silver haired shinigami fell out of the sky and landed softly next to Akio and waited for a pase in the conversation, only half hearing the previous sentence he wasn’t entirely sure what Akio was talking about. When he spoke his voice was strong, flat and formal, “Forgive me for interrupting sir, but I am Durandarte Ankisubeta of 1st division, I was told to find and accompany you. That I am to watch you in your duties, learn from you. I was told I am too new to be of any help anywhere else currently,” his voice shook briefly with the last part, a hint of despair and anger broke through briefly before his voice returned to normal. “I hope to learn much from you sir.” His posture showed that of a swordsman confident in his skills and abilities, but his eyes betrayed him. They had a shallow look to them, like someone who had been bested too many times, but a glint in his eye showed a fire that was ready to spread if given the right fuel to burn.

He turned to the person Akio had been speaking to.”Hello, I do not believe we have ever met, Durandarte Ankisubeta.”

[Don't worry too much about the honorifics just do your best, We will understand what you mean. ]

The young Quincy Elder smiled at the compliment of being perceptive. It was a skill that one what had to make choices from young had to have. He returned the friendly smile to his lone Shinigami friend. The only one of their kind to earn his trust.

Yet the moment of happiness and sincerity was lost when his face became sullen. The memories of the events he was recounted made sure of that as he started his tale again. So it would seem that his own guesses were right judging from the way he spoke. The Arrancar would bring the fight to the Shinigami, it was inevitable.

When they did make their presence known, it would appear that they the Shinigamis had a plan for any scenario. Measures to prevent surprise attacks or unwanted entry. Putting two and two together he deduce that what ever measures were in place held and they send out squads as it were to help the citizens and defeat those Arrancar making monstrosities before it took more souls and used it against them. He could imagine it now, how the scene must have looked according to those account. He himself would have had his hands very full and he was very aware of how capable this Shinigami was. But what got to him the most was how the Arrancar used those souls as fuel for their weapon. It got him all upset on the inside.

Then something suddenly caught his attention and he glanced over to see the arrival of another. A Shinigami no less at that. Daichi's eyes moved from him and back to the Shinigami after he had said what he needed to say. "Daichi Kenta, Quincy," he said not impolitely but not too welcoming as well. Turning and walking over to the Akio he patted him on the shoulder. "Guess we will have to continue our conversations at a later date, you may have your hands full for a while." As he stepped onto the ledge and prepared to leave a horrid scream sounding in the not too far distance. A single hollow had appeared.

The tone used by the stranger wasn't lost on him, though why he was receiving it he could not deduce. He decided not let it bother him, though he began to wonder who or what this Daichi person is. "He maybe a person interest later, especially if he holds a relationship with Akio...."

He once more redirected his attention towards Akio, and was just about to speak again when his ears heard the roar of the hollow, a sound akin to nails on a chalk board. As it drilled through his brain his body stiffened from both nervousness and excitement. "Looks like I'll begin that training a little sooner then I thought. Shall we get going sir?

He took a leap into the air, rebounded off a nearby wall and landed on a roof. He gazed out looking around to find where the hollow had sounded its horrible cry. Dispite the danger he couldn't help but admire the beauty of the town. "Such a beautiful place, always sad to see places like those turn into battle grounds." his thoughts had a tint of despair and regret to them. After a few moments he believed he spotted the hollow and took leap in that direction.

[Usually follow a posting order to keep some semblance of order to the post. Should wait for turn so it wouldn't cause confusion or otherwise asked to pass someone over.]

Akio eyes had also followed that of his Quincy friend, they had a new arrival in their midst. He listened to the young one as he introduced himself to them. He smiled and passed his hand through his hair, what an unexpected development. Guess he had no choice in the matter here and it also seemed to him that the young Shinigami Durandarte Aniksubeta didn't want to be there either.

"Well Durandarte Aniksubeta of the 1st Division, how are you aware that I am the correct Shinigami you seek." He paused and smile before continuing, "No matter, if you were sent here then lets get the tour of education started." He could follow him and learn from battle, more experience is what he needed and he could build strength at the same time. It was how he learned and became the strong Shinigami that he was.

His mind had wandered a little with his own thoughts. He was caught up reminiscing of his own past that he barely caught the introduction that the Elder gave. Polite, simple and short, but with great hostility, it was foreboding to say the least. Akio sighed greatly as it would appear that this was soon coming to an end. It was true that now he had someone else under his care, his story could be postponed a little. "It would appear so my friend."

A call of a hollow sounded not to far from them and he turned to face its general direction. It seemed that the 1st Division member was in a great rush and took off without permission to find the beast. He shook his head at the juvenile behavior, this one really had a lot to learn indeed. "My friend do you mind following close by, I think that he could benefit from a demonstration."

Akio jumped off the roof and made his way to where the Shinigami and taken off too. Least he had a sense of direction and was heading the right way that was good. It didn't take him long before he caught up to his ward. "One shouldn't jump into a situation with out knowing what they are getting into. That is how you put your comrades and yourself in danger. Don't just rush in." Akio stopped on a ledge a few meters ahead of him and waited for them all to come to a stop, their target was within view.

(apologies for the delay I figured I was going after Daichi but I’m guess not, if I’m wrong tell me and I’ll remove the post)

Durandarte was just standing on the edge of a roof a little ways off from the hollow as Akio arrived. He listened quietly as Akio spoke, “I had no intension of engaging him without your order sir, I only meant to act as a scout, my apologies.”

He looked at his opponent with a sigh, “I hope this doesn’t cause much damage to the town…” He flashed back to his first hollow battle. It hadn’t been an extravagant affair, but much more trouble than he had thought. Before the battle had been over several new craters decorated the landscape, trees lay splintered on the ground, and Durandarte had several deep wounds. He broke out of his daze and focused once more on reality. Resting his hand on the hilt of his asauchi he looked to Akio, “On your command, sir.”

[You figured right, one usually waits for the order of post to commence. Must wait turn, it usually doesn't take more than a few days to get a reply. But like your enthusiasm.]

Daichi looked out in the direction of the hollow and before he knew it the young Shinigami took off. Glancing over to Akio-san, he raised an eyebrow and smirked a little. It would appear that he would have his hands full with this feisty one. He chuckled and shook his head from side to side. He was then asked to accompany Akio-san. Before he could even reply back he had taken off.

"Well that is no fair to ask such of me." He said to himself as he too leaped and followed the Shinigami. He didn't know why he had to get involved but must be some reason for Akio-san to ask him follow along. The hollow wasn't too far from where they started and it didn't take them long to catch up to the young one. Positioning himself on the opposite side of the street he watched as Akio-san was scolding him. It really wasn't good to go ahead by oneself, not especially against a hollow, but it appeared that he only wanted to scout ahead. "Good thought but its just as you said, you acted without his order. Remember he is responsible for you now." His words were meant to enlighten not discourage, no need to act so anxious.

The hollow screeched again, it would appear that their convergence attracted the attention of the hollow. Now it was on the move slowly heading towards them. It was about the size of a minivan, hairy and looked like a monster out of a fictional movie. He then stared at the Akio-san and Durandarte-kun, what was he going to have the young one do.

While looking out at the position where the hollow was, he listened as his newly found student explained his reasoning for running off. It would appear that he simply wanted to scout ahead. Innocent enough he thought but he was still a little worried about that. Maybe it was because he was from the from the 1st Division. Akio shook that thought from his mind, no need for him to be worried. What ever methods and experience that he would go through while under his care, it will all be good for him.

Taking a deep breath he had his left hand rested on the hilt of his Zanpakutou while his right rested in his pant pockets. Daichi-san chimed in congratulating and scolding him at the same time. It seemed that he had loads of experience doing so since he did it so callously.

Another roar of the hollow emanated from not too far and its physical being came into view. It was a big creature, bigger than himself in height and furry. But even he could tell that it wasn't more than the fledgling could handle. "Command is to remove the hollow and secure the immediate vicinity. We will intervene if it comes to that." The Seventh Division Shinigami had a wide grin on his face. "Begin" He couldn't help but want to see this young ones ability and skill, see what he had going for him and to see what actually needed improvement. But he would find out in the next few moment.

Durandarte listened to the quincy as he spoke his words of knowledge to him, taking them to heart with a nod. Once Daichi said his piece to him he looked to the hollow again, "He looks bigger then I had originally thought. I guess it matters little either way." As he finished his thought Akio began to give him his orders.

When he was givien the order to began the silver haired shinigami leapt off the end of the ledge and landed on the ground with a soft thud. As he stood up straight he gazed around the area to see if there was anyone who was likely to get hurt if he engaged the hollow. Seeing no one he drew his sword and ran towards the hollow. The beast saw him coming and let out yet another blood curtailing cry, as he got within striking distance the hollow brought its large fist down onto him. Durandarte jumped to the right and rolled as the fist went crashing into the ground.

Gathering his footing again he jumped at the hollow and attempted to slash its mask. To his surprise the hollow was faster then it looked and blocked the attack with his arm. His blade cut deep into the hollows arm as it roared from the pain and sent him flying backwards in a counter attack. The launch back was so hard and fast that he was unable to recover and slammed back first into the ground and went sliding back several feet into a building. He shook his head to clear the after effects of the blow and felt some blood trickle down the back of his neck.

He stood once more, sword still in hand, and fire in his eyes. The hollow took the initiative for the attack and bull rushed using the same surprising speed that it had used to block his attack. It closed the gap quickly and tried to punch Durandarte into the the wall, he dodged to the side as the punch went only a few inches away from his ear, dumb luck had saved him more than precise timing. He used his momentum from the dodge to lunge at his enemy and add more power to his attack. He aimed for the monsters leg hoping to cut it off and thus cripple the beast, but as his blade bit into its leg he knew that hope was lost. Although it didn't cleave the leg off the body like he had hoped it bit well into the leg. Yet again it roared, and swung its arm backwards in a counter attack, once more making him parallel to the ground, however, he managed to recover this time and landed on his feet, sliding back several yards. A glint in the monsters leg caught his eye as he realized that he had lost his blade, striking a boxer pose he began to devise ways to get his blade back, all the while muttering curses under his breath, “It’s tough enough were unarmed strikes are unlikely to phase it much, and it’s speed is on par, if not higher, than my own so I can’t get around it.”

He knew a move he could make, but loathed to, knowing it would hurt but, he could see no other way to get his blade back without it happening eventually. He planted his feet firmly into the ground and waited, and the hollow made the move he hoped it would: it charged. Durandarte didn't move at all as it got closer and closer, he just stood, when it reared back its fist to punch him he crossed his arms and hid his head and torso behind them. The blow struck him like a car, but he held his ground, his arms and chest rang like bells with pain. He knocked the hollows fist to the side, albeit only a few inches, and spun around to its right side, where his sword was buried. He grabbed the blade and yanked hard, releasing it from flesh and making the hollow drop as its leg gave out from under it. Taking his chance Durandarte jumped on the hollows back and struck down, splitting the mask in two.

The hollow began to fade as the silver haired shinigami coughed up some blood and fell to a knee himself. He sat there coughing for several seconds before it finally subsided, leaving a small pool of blood on the ground before him. He gathered himself together, sheathed his sword, and surveyed the area once more; damage was minimal, no civilians where hurt, and the threat was neutralized. Relatively satisfied with what had transpired he jump back up to the roof with Akio and waited silently for his review.
