[Oh dear, sorry about the overdue wait. Shall not keep everyone waiting.]

It would appear the young Death God was not bad at taking critiques and learning from them. This lad indeed would have some potential indeed. Daichi couldn't help but smile a little but it wasn't time for such things. His attention soon found its way back to the hollow at hand.

Akio-san finally issued an order to his new comrade and he leap into action. It seemed like he was really eager to get things started. Looking on at the next series of events he simply observed. The hollow had taken notice of the young shinigami as he made his approach as he had drawn his blade, guess a frontal attack might not have been the way to go. Yet in this situation it might work if one was gauging their opponents ability. As he got close, the beast acted and the young one evaded. Good enough skills he thought, as he went straight into his next movement and attacked. The hollow was more speedy than he let on as he countered with his hand. Blood had now been drawn but it wasn't defeated, matter of fact it made it angry as it flung the young shinigami quite far. Daichi's face winced a little as the blow seemed a little painful and blood could be seen on the nape of the boys neck. But he didn't stay down, he was pretty determined and even more fired up.

In a flurry of movements he dodge and attack, but something went a little wrong, he has lost hold of his weapon. That alone showed his inexperience but he stood his ground and found a solution. At the end of it all he was the victor and he himself was clearly happy that it showed on his face. When he returned to the roof top he walked over to him and tapped him on his back "Well done, not perfect but still very well done." He smiled and looked at his friend Akio-san. "Not a bad squad member you have there, still wet behind the ears."

After giving his order the young shinigami took off with much excitement. It would seem that he was going to show them and those mucks in his squadron that he was indeed valuable. Akio was now excited to see what he was capable of, but he too was a little worried as to how this was played out. He kept his hand firmly gripping his Zanpakutou, prepared to intervene if it were ever needed.

Paying close attention he watched as Durandarte-kun set off surveying the surroundings marking sure that all was clear before preceding. Standard policy that is drilled into you while at the academy to prevent unnecessary harm and damages. Everything was clear and he began with out any further delay. Dashing to the hollow with blade in hand he was going to strike first. Preemptive attack, striking first when the hollow didn't know or anticipated him coming, yet that didn't go as plan. He was noticed and the hollow sprung into action using his fist to counter with a hard strike. But Durandarte-kun was vigilant and made the the right move dodging and countering quickly. Akio was grew more excited as the battle went on. The strike was well aimed and well placed and if this was a theoretical training field that would most likely done his opponent in. But this was a real battlefield, real life, unforeseeable variables always came into play. The hollow turned out to be much faster than once first thought and brought up its arm to that the attack rather than having his face scared and maimed. Not good on the Durandarte-kun part as a counter by the hollow sent him flying back.

Akio could sense that it was a hard hit that might have done, but being one not to be so easily defeated he got right back up. The hollow wasn't going to let a prime opportunity go and also lunged at him with a punch as well. Durandarte-kun managed to dodge effectively and counter at the legs but the hollow counter once again sending him flying again. But this time it was different on more than one count. He managed to recover from this blow but also lost grip of his Zanpakutou which usually wasn't ideal in battle. Akio's grip on his own Zanpakutou tighten as he wondered himself how he would retrieve it but time would tell.

The hollow once again started to charge at Durandarte-kun but this time it was different. The young shinigami stood still in a defensive mood and ready himself for the attack. He took the brunt of the attack and slightly shifted the trajectory of the punch to the side, giving him enough time to retrieve his blade and cut down the hollow before he even knew what happened.

Akio gave a sigh of relief and waited for him to join him on the roof. Staring at the silent young lad he observed the damage that he taken, though looking at him he was bearing with it. Daichi-san was tapping Durandarte-kun vigorously on his back and giving his comments. "Yeah you right my friend, still wet behind the ears indeed. Inexperienced" He turned to the young shinigami, "but has lots of potential". He gave a smile before hinting to Daichi-san to do what he do best.

"So tell me, what did you think could have been improved on Durandarte-kun?"

[Sorry for the wait been a little busy]

Durandarte smiled at the praise he received from both the quincy and and his mentor, but the tap on his back sent a sharp pain down his back and caused him to hack up a small amount of blood which he wiped away with his hand. He listened to both of them as they spoke words which he was already well acquainted with, but none the less he took them to heart. He thanked both for them for their words of praise however, when he was asked what he could have improved on he couldn't help but immediately state the obvious, "Not losing my sword might be a good place to start. Recovery from of counter attacks might also be area that could use some improvement," he paused to think, "Wouldn't hurt to brush up on my speed either." He said flatly.

He closed his eyes for a moment and slowed his breathing, partially to suppress the pain, the other half to listen, hoping that his latest encounter might have proven himself to his silent partner. As ever though he found only silence, "I wonder what will finally cause you to reveal yourself to me," He opened his eyes again and the pain had subsided slightly. He looked to his two seniors and waited for either of them to speak, finding little for he himself to say.

[Its okay, seems like everyone on vacation and such]

He was actually happy for the young death god to survive relatively unharmed. Well nothing life threatening. He stopped tapping on his back when he hacked up a small portion of blood. Looking up at Akio-san he saw that he hinted at him to do something about it. Daichi nodding in acknowledgement as Akio-san asked him a very important question. What he thought could have been improved on.

Daichi smiled at this, Akio-san was really acting like a teacher, giving a tasks and after grading going over the wrong questions with the student. It was all surreal really. He awaited durandarte-kun's response eagerly and his response started out with the very obvious for his race. Always keep hold of your weapon if it was your only means of offense and defense. He seemed to be worried with his counter measures and speed as well, but to him those two goes hand in hand.

"Well you hit the nail right on its head. Definite keep a hold of your weapon since its usually your main offense at such early stages." He has said early stages because he knew that almost all Shinigami were trained with their blades but some like Akio-san preferred his Kido use over that of the blade. "Your size and flexiblity kept you from enduring more damage. Size and physical strength isn't everything in life so speed can determine the victor in battle." He placed a hand on Durandarte-kun shoulder and gently squeezed. He let his reiatsu flow into the young one, healing began and took hold rapidly and less than 15 seconds the Shinigami would be back in tip top shape fully energized and all. After all such a task was trivial for this Elder.

[Sorry is there are may mistakes, was very sleepy when I wrote this. ]

Akio waited for the answer to his question as he saw Daichi-san still tapping him on his back. As he waited the young Durandarte-kun spat up a little blood and Daichi-san stopped his congratulations physically after that. Seemed that his body was a little more hurt than thought, but that blood could just been minor injury he thought. He was more concern that usually, Shinigami were tough and he was tough.

Durandarte-kun started to give his answers and the main one that was stuck in his mind and most likely Daichi-san as well was the fact that he lost his blade. It turned out that he was right on both accounts as Daichi-san gave his input and started to heal Durandarte-kun.

"Yes you are correct on the losing your Zanpakutou in battle. It could change the tide of the battle drastically if that was to happen again. But you did recovered well." Akio began to rub the back his head as he ran the events through his head again. "Now that you mention your ability to counter attack, it all depends on your speed and eye for detail. Even with great speed one can still take a well placed blow. You need observatory skills to combine with speed, both combined will help you out of any tight squeeze and give you the upper hand." He smiled a little now then looked at his Quincy friend and back to his ward. "He does wonders doesn't he," he said pointing to Daichi-kun.

As the young mans reiatsu went through he felt the pain in his chest begin to completely subside. Once his treatment had concluded he rolled shoulders and turned to Daichi as Akio made his remark about his healing prowess, "Very much so, yes, thank you very much." He was surprised at the healing ability of the young man, which was well beyond anything he would have expected someone so young to have, granted the damage he had suffered wasn't likely to be overly extensive, but to heal the damage he HAD sustained in such a short amount of time, he was almost beyond words.

A thought suddenly occurred to him, "Forgive me for being rude, but I just realized something; I believe you said you were a quincy correct? Why help a shinigami? Last I remember our races as a whole don't tend to be over fond of each others company," his voice was highly curious. He wasn't questioning Daichi's motives in the slightest, Akio trusted him so so did he, but the fact he would be caught dead in the company of any shinigami, if his memory served to be true, was something he couldn't understand.

As he asked his first question another came to him, he turned to Akio, "If our races really don't get along are there possible repercussions for us being seen with a qunicy?" His voice was unworried, he honestly likely could have cared less if there were consequences, within reason, but the knowledge of if there was wouldn't be harmful either.

Daichi smiled as the young Shinigami thanked him for his little healing session. "Don't get use it too much, its rare for a Quincy to heal a Shinigami, but I must admit, I am pretty good at what I do don't you think?" He questioned a little although he already knew the answer to it. He wasn't trying to be cocky or arrogant or the like, he was just a little happy for the compliment.

After the slight praise, the young Durandarte-kun started to wonder about him and the implications of being associated with a Quincy. Daichi shook his head in disapproval, his composure sullen quite a bit. "Yes I am of the Quincy Faction and I see they are still are teaching prejudice to even the young ones. Daichi brow furrowed as his sullen expression went to a petulant one. ” It is in fact true that we Quincys hate and despise Shinigami, well most, but why do you think that is? The reason is pretty simple you know, Shinigami make these laws and expect everyone to adhere to them and impose their will on a world that they do not even dwell in.” His voice was tense and he was a bottle of pent up frustration ready to blow. ”Your kind are devious, manipulating, dictators and for this and other unspeakable acts they are treacherous in our eyes.”

Daichi turned and walked to the edge of the roof top, his emotions were starting to come under his control more so. ” But to hell with your Repercussions, those days should be long gone since Shinigami, Fullbringers and Quincys joined forces to keep the peace. Where were their rules and regulations then?” Daichi was venting, maybe more than he should, but what he was feeling was true in his mind and heart. Most Shinigami were worst that the hollows that he cleansed. Massacring the innocent because of different beliefs and bringing up the new generation with the old ways. It was all pitiful to this Elder.

Akio-san couldn't help but shake his head and sigh as his young comrade asked a question that should have been avoided at all cost. Now he knew that his thinking was not wrong at all and it was purely out of curiosity, but it would get the young Quincy agitated at the thought. And so he was right. Daichi-san went on a little rant about what was right and what was wrong with the worlds and his personal dealings, feelings, and opinions on the Shinigami's race as a whole. Akio did appreciate how he left a small glimmer of hope of his kind NOT ALL being the awful beings that he thought they were, even if it was only a small handful.

At the end of it all Akio-san could only shrug his shoulders and looked back at his new young trainee. "Well that is basically what most Quincys' think of us and to be honest they aren't wrong for their way of thinking. And as for repercussions. To Hell with it. Its not like they are in a state to even deal with such trivial affairs, and why would they even start to care now of all times. So I can safely say that there is nothing to worry about now, but maybe in the foreseeable future. All depending on who the new Captain Commander maybe." Yeah his mind started to wander about that the position had been vacant and it was about time that it needed to be filled and when that took place there will sure to be action taken against the Arrancars. He just knew it.

Durandarte listened to the quincys answer and was way more then surprised by his response. He waited politely until the young man had completed his venting and spoke, his voice showing a bit of regret for bringing up the topic, "My apoligies, I didn't mean to offend. Among my class the quincys were mentioned minimally, barely ever out side of history. I know not what the other shinigami think of quincys, but as long as we all fight for a common cause I would see no reason to be enemies, especially now, with the Gotei 13 in such a bad position. There are few things I have a prejudge with, but I can honestly say that good guys are not one of them." He knew he was revealing a little more then he should, but his superior trusted the man and he was attempting to show he was doing the same.

"I can't speak for my superiors, but I don't think I would be out of line to say that we could likely use your help more then ever." He looked over to his superior for a look of approval or denial of his claim, and saw that he was lost in own thoughts. "Do you know what has happened in Soul Society?" he asked Dachi politely.

(OOC: wasn't as clear in the post as i should have been. I accidentally confused Dachi about who the last question was directed to. Sorry)

The Elder Quincy was still venting and he knew that his internal anger was directed to the wrong lad. Daichi-san took a deep breath and let himself cool down a little more. A few moments later and he was now fully calm and level headed as the young one began to speak. He was under the impression that he needed to apologize for asking the question in the first place, but he really didn't need to.

"No need to apologize, what happened then happened, no changing it, all that could be changed is the heads and who knows when that will actually happen." He gave a small smile at the end of his sentence before continuing his statement. "Wouldn't be the first time that my kind helped out your kind." Daichi-san started to walk back towards the pair of Shinigami.

Durandarte-kun started to question him in another innocent way, just a curious lad he is. This time he was inquiring if the Quincy himself had know what had happened in Soul Society. Daichi glanced over at his friend and back to the young Shinigami. "Not initially, though I did take notice of the lack of presence of Shinigami and the rise in rash attacks of the Hollows. After that a few rumors sprouted up here and there so I did keep a watchful eye out . But just before you arrived, Akio-san was giving me a play by play account of his personal experience." He paused to examine the body language of the young Shinigami. "Were you there when your home was taken?"
