There was actually more to the letter but Mana didn't deem them at all important. Shiroma Mana, dressed in his usual blue Kimono finished up with his orange shoes. With that, he thought he was all set. He looked at his Mission Letter and found out that the locations of the souls weren't included. It seems he would have to locate the souls himself. It wasn't like it was a hard job. And so, he went on, marching forward to Okumichi. Coming out at some random alley in Okumichi, Mana, with a big smile on his face, started walking around, noticing a lot of uneducated marginalized people around. He thought it was a dangerous place he had ended up in. Not that he was worried about himself, he just didn't want them to steal his mission letter he placed in his pocket, as well a few things he had placed in his enchanted purse, which he bought from the twelfth division. Shiroma Mana, stand out in his clothes, started attracting attention and was quickly, as he found out, getting dangerous looks from the people. They started approaching him and he started walking faster. Not the brightest of ideas as more of them went toward him, eyeing him with interest. Soon enough, he broke into a full sprint, shouting for help as he didn't want to use his shinigami powers to harm these men. "Help me! Help me!" He shouted as someone threw a bola, felling him. They were laughing now, grinning. "Lookie what we have here." A few of them said, grinning, smirking. 'Oh dear. Should I harm them? Or maybe i should just talk to them? I don't want to kill them! I don't want to harm them! Oh dear God, what should I do?!' "Uhmm, maybe we can talk this out?" |

Lucius was walking carefree getting himself even more aquainted with his neighborhood that would become his home. The people there were farely nice so he always felt welcome and boy oh boy the eye candy was great. Honestly he couldn't wait for warmer weather so every one could loose their coats. A slight breeze caressed his face, he like this time of year when it was cold but not too cold that he needed to bundle up. He wore a lovely pinstriped suit that was custom tailored for his body, showed of his physique, even thought it was hidden beneath his dark trench coat. As he continued to walk the street idly he heard some one cry out for help and it sounded like the voice of a child. Lucius's head whipped around to where the sound was coming from and saw a crowd heading toward an alley. If he wasn't sure before, he was now. The child like voice resounded again from that direction and that gave him all the confirmation that he needed. Sprinting into the street he was almost hit by a car and the male driver yelled and spewed some profanity at him, but he didn't care. He had to know what was going on and keep that child safe. Running into the alley he soon came to the backs of the mob and shouted at the top of his lungs. "HEY...... WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING TO THAT CHILD." The mob had obscured the one in danger from his sight and then he wondered why he didn't just take them out from behind. His eyes had spotted a large pole which he could have ultimately wield as a weapon but now that was at the mouth of the alley. Now he would have to improvise. |

Shiroma Mana was just about to consider giving the man his gold when he heard a series of curses from those cars, followed by hurried steps. The thugs kept shouting something at him but he ignored them for a moment, choosing to listen well, to discern who was coming to aide him. It seems the steps were a bit heavy but there was nothing he could tell from that. Oh well, he would have to work more on his deduction skills. Moments later, the rather tall blond man appeared before him, a foreigner it seems. There foreigners in his time but not this frequent. Maybe he was just lucky? Anyway, foreigners can't possibly bring him any good right? That's what he was taught when he was alive but maybe this man is different? Besides, he doesn't have any other viable choices. Everything else he could think of involves revealing his true nature, his true abilities and that was the farthest from his intentions. "F**k off. This ain't any of your business." they told the blond man. Shiroma Mana, judging from the man's earlier statement, thought this man could really save him. Now if only the men's focus were on him, the man could somehow save him using stealth. With that little plan in him, he smiled weakly at the unruly men about him and squeaked in the cutest way he could muster. "Maybe we can talk this out? I mean I don't have much gold but I'll give you everything if you let me go?" The men laughed at him but he was sure that got there attention, distracted from the blonde man for a while to focus on the child. "Well, well, it looks like you're a bright kid. You're smart. I like you." Shiroma smiled at the mysterious blond man, nodding as if to signal the other to do what it is the blond man had to do to help him without getting so much attention. "Get his gold." a burly man with a hoarse voice ordered, the leader, Mana presumed. A man with lesser built but was still evenly toned came towards him as he picked up a few gold coins from the magic purse the twelfth division gave him. He "accidentally" dropped a few gold coins on the ground, distracting the men further with his actions, whilst stretching out his hand, a weak smile on his face. "Will this be enough?" he asked, hoping the other man would save him already. He didn't want to spend more time with these people. |

Lucius was appalled by one of the men response to his question, being a little dramatic you could hear him gasp at the remarks. Then they ignored him and paid attention to the child as he spoke of gold. This peaked his own attention for two reasons. First being that why would a kid even have gold in his possession and secondly that if he was lying this could go seriously wrong, but he wasn't going to let that happen. The child nodded at him, sort of like a signal and he acknowledge that he had their complete attention now. It was time too move now that they were distracted. Looking around he seen a few garbage receptacles and empty beer bottles laying around. Perfect. Dashing to the garbage receptacle, Lucius grabbed two of the bottles and flung them both at two of the thugs heads. While those were in flight he grabbed the top of one of the receptacles and flung it at the ring leader. Grabbing the final one as he charged another of the men preparing to strike him continuously. If any wanted to confront him head on he welcomed that option, he did like to fight once in a while. He was very well trained to handle himself in any situation but now how would the young one react now. He would simply have to wait and see if the thugs would succumb to the head injuries and be knocked out cold and the unexpected attack would scare them off. |
