Personally, I think murdering animals for food or fur is awful, and I can't rationalize why its acceptable to do it to some animals and not others. For example, you wouldn't eat a dog or a cat, so why would you eat a pig? And please, don't argue that pigs are stupid, pigs are very intelligent animals. Pigs clearly display fear when they are to be slaughtered, as they start squealing and try to hide. It has also been observed that cows feel anguish when their children are taken away from them. A lot of people assume because my views are so strong on it that I support PETA. I do not, support PETA. I can't stand them. They fear monger people into vegetarianism and veganism, by doing things like yelling at Rihanna for wearing fur, handing out 'Unhappy Meals' outside of Macdonalds restaurants, and making games like Super Chick Sisters, which I'm amazed don't infringe any copyrights. So, I've been a strict vegetarian my whole life, and certainly have no plans to change it even if it means starving or freezing to death in the wilderness. Anyway, I've made my opinion clear enough, what are yours on the trade? |

I do agree with you to some respect, though killing animals for fur and food go way back since the cavemen era and probably even before then, but back then, it was more for survival than commodity I would go vegetarian but there are certain things I would miss very much, though I do make sure that I get FREE RANGE, and I always have a go at my mom if she buys something that uses animal skin/pelt/fur etc. One thing I don't get though is why a belt says it is made up of leather and it was made in India, but isn't the cow sacred in India? |

I'm lucky to have always been vegetarian, so I would never miss any meat products, and I've never worn animal furs, so I'd never miss any of those either. Oh god, the conditions the poor chickens are in if it isn't free range ><. My mother buys fake furs and leathers, but it is verry rare for her to buy it real, and when it is she'll usually take it back when she realizes. The cow being sacred in India rings a bell... there could just be people desperate enough for money, that they'll work with leather for it. And I imagine they don't slaughter the cow in India, and its just made in the factory's there. |

Probably, and I've never bought fur before I think the only thing that would put me off of meat is if I got food poisoning My parents went veggie for a while before I was born, but they had to go back as my dad got quite ill and weak

I think furs are beautiful on animals, but not humans. I think a lot of people get the mass of their strength from eating meats, so when they go without the meat, a lot of people can lose a lot of weight and strength rapidly without it to support them. |

It makes dieting tricky for my mother. She ends up living off celery and beans to lose weight ._. |

What about meat substitutes? I'm Veggie too and I eat quite a lot of them. Definatley more interesting than beans and as long as you pick the right things they're very good for you. |

I would love to be vegetarian again, but because I ran into health problems last time I can't. I just don't eat a lot of meat. I personally think humans eat WAY to much meat. |

We do eat meat substitutes. But because we have them as staple things in our diet, we all get quite a lot of our body fat from them, so she always has to cut down on them :c. |
