The Valdasha'an's have kept order in Iosa for as long as history can date, creating and preserving the peace. Auria, the capital of the Valdasha'an's have reached a prosperous era, blooming into what was once a hostile island, to a divine citadel. The Elder's of the Valdasha'an's, however, have a secret of their own, one they are un-willing to even converse amungst themselves. A stir in the clouds have whipped up numerous storms, an obvious sign of a near danger. They know, but they refuse to prepare, for they feel that if they ignore Fate, they can alter it's path and bypass the event's that they have all foreseen. Instead of protecting the Island of Auria, they've not only endangered it, but the whole of Iosa aswell.
The threat to Iosa was Niva, a young but very powerful Elder. She and the other's forsaw her corruption, but chose to ignore it. Undergoing such madness has not only lead to the corruption of her Ku'usian mind, but her Dragon Spirit aswell. To become so sinister, with such power can only lead to one thing; war. It wasn't too long after word got out of Niva's insanity that she fled with a mind that wasn't her own. Stories circulated of how a Bhu'rai (Crazed Dragon Spirit) has actually posessed Niva, and pulled her strings like a puppet into doing it's bidding. Niva put up a short battle before escaping Auria and fleeing into the uncharted island's of Iosa, loosing herself in the darkness and falling to yet even more insanity in isolation.
On the other hand, news of a plague known only as Thalias have spread into the the continent of Sylia, the home to the Sha'lock's. Known throughout history has the Sha'lock killer, news of this infection has caused panic and uproar within the community. A massive rush to ration and preserve what they can in such a need is growing too much. Which leaves their animalistic instincs to start and take over. The Ku'usian's, however, are finding their citadel in a harmonious state. Not much threatens their civil status, the Valdasha'an Elder's have decided to keep Niva's corruption a secret from all but their own; a decision they will later refret. Their desire to aid is strong, but the Ku'usian Council have deemed it too dangerous to ship over to Sylia, for the infection causes devastating affects on the mind of a Sha'lock, driving them to their primeval states; deadly and wild.
