The Valdasha'an although they are not quite the oldest, but are by far the most prominent clan that walks the paths of Iosa. The Valdasha'an's are a clan that revolve around honour and respect, working under the influence of a group of High Elders who help shape and defend Auria, their home Island, from any incoming threats.

Having such a high role in the world of Iosa, the Valdasha'an's are looked up to by the other clans like a big brother. Without hesitation, the Valdasha'an's will go into combat to protect anyone, and anything from anything they see as a threat. They do not want control, only respect.

Although the Valdasha'an's are known for many things, the one thing that separates them from any other clan is the fact they have a special bond with the Dragon's which also call Auria their home. This special bond is created at birth, for both child and Dragonling are born at the exact same moment, and this is what cause's their connection. It is down to specially selected Watchmen to hunt down the new born Dragon and bring it to the child, before both fall ill; a sign of the deep connection that they share. It is through intense training and dedication that the two will grow into mighty peacekeepers and put their sword forward to protect Iosa from anything.

As mentioned, the bond between both Valdasha'an and Dragon is extraordinary. They will grow up together, and they will know no life without one and another at one's side. The bond allows specific abilities on both halves to help them in their quest in creating a better future, and these consist of;

  • Breath.

  • Thought bonds.

  • Blood sacrifice.
The Breath is the one ability feared by all, and it is one unique to every Dragon and their Valdasha'an. The Breath is the ability that allows a Dragon to breathe it's natural element or substance, often stored in the glans of the throat. Each Breath is unique, and each Breath has it's pros and it's cons. However, no Breath has been see that creates a Solid substance, so it is often referred to as impossible for a Dragon to do so; leaving the possibilities to anything from, Gas, Liquid or even Sound. Each Dragon and Valdasha'an has it's limit, and will get tired out after a specific amount of Breath's used, so it is trained into Valdasha'an to time it wisely for their Dragon will fall unconscious if overused.

Thought bonds is simple telekinetic magick which allows the Valdasha'an to communicate with his Dragon via a mind link, and vice versa. The bond will always be there, and there is no distance too great to come between the connection of one's mind.

Blood sacrifice's aren't often used nor seen, for it leads to quit often, dire consequences. The blood sacrifice is an ancient healing art taught to the Valdasha'an's and their Dragon's to aid each other in battle in the scenario they are injured. Although a very simple ritual, it can lead to suffering afterwards. Both Valdasha'an and Dragon are able to give ones blood to another via the means of creating a wound and pouring their blood into any open wounds they have, the one downside is that you have to give roughly, an exact equal amount of blood to the injured one as they have lost. So if they loose a pint of blood, you must sacrifice a pint of blood to heal them. Although this healing ritual is powerful, it isn't instant and so the ritual is near-off pointless if used in battle for the injured one will take a few minutes to fully recover.

The Dragon's life is confusing, and that entangles the bond with his rider. The Valdasha'an's life is essential to a Dragon, for without it, he will suffer. If separated by events out of their hands for an extended period of time, the Dragon will fall ill and will be taken death if left apart too long. The Dragon desires to be with his rider at all times, and lives to protect them no matter the situation or danger they put themselves in. It is in a Dragon's nature to sacrifice it's own life to protect his rider, for if the rider dies, the Dragon dies with him; but if the Dragon dies, the rider will live on, but never know the honour of riding another Dragon.

Dragon's have one soulmate, you. They will let no other man ride them, and no other Dragon will let you ride him. The bond between Valdasha'an is an ancient but powerful one, and cannot be altered or changed. The Dragon will follow you at all times, it will be there, even if you choose to abandon it, to protect you. It will go out of it's way, throw away it's beliefs and desires if you tell it to do so.

You will know no trust nor companionship like you do with your Dragon at your side.
