Character ProfileCharacter Name: Jaxon Oswald Himmel Nickname: Jax Gender: Male Age: 32 Birthday: February 12 Trainer Class: Backpacker Height: 5'8" Weight: 215 lbs |
Hair Color & Style: His hair is combed back, and is a mixture of his father's dark, burnt brown and his mother's gentle, hazel hair. It a quarter inch long at most, and covers his head like a flat cap, often ruffled by his calloused hands that run through it when he thinks.
Eyes: His eyes are dulled, and oval shaped. Sharp, narrow eyebrows convey his emotion, and his irises are like newly tilled, brown, healthy earth. When in deep concentration, his eyes tighten like taut rope, and his gaze is sharp enough to chop down a tree. In contemplation, they relax and become vast and deep, like an old mine speckled with glints of ore, ideas present but hidden.
Clothing/Accessories: He wears form fitting shirts, short sleeves, solid colored, cotton and often soiled. He's not very good at washing his clothes, thus most are stained by dust, sweat and the occasional mud stain. He disdains pants, and wears shorts with a few pockets, knee-high socks that are often mismatched, and keeps a wide array of shoes in his PC for use in all-terrains, such as hiking boots, mountain climbing shoes, and the occasional aquamarine with a lightning bolt on the side of it flipper. He wears his father's watch, which was designed specifically to be weather and time-proof. On his neck is a stainless silver locket, in the shape of an ornate egg, with his mother and sister's pictures inside. In the winter months, he adds on a brown, Linoone fur coat.
General Appearance:

Jax's burly physique is a result of him spending his late teens working in a Mining camp down in southern Westwell. His arm and shoulder muscles are rock hard, his calves are steel, and he has an iron grip capable of pulling his 200lb self up mountains. He has square shoulders, a truck-like torso and uses open body language. His skin is auburn from his countless days in the sun, which separates him from the rest of his pale family.
Jax has a calm, deep gaze which is a contrast to his stark, intimidating form. His body is smooth and his clean-shaven appearance contributes to his gentle demeanor. He wears a range of expressions with the help of his sharp eyebrows, and his voice is deep, rumbling and unassuming. When he smiles, dimples form at his cheeks, and his eyes turn into charming slivers. He has a cheshire kitten smile.
Posture is no problem for Jax, as he has trouble slouching. When he sits he places a leg horizontally across his knee and can be found with his arms crossed. His motions are calculated, and he prefers actions to words. He speaks and listens with his calloused hands.
Hometown: Weswell Town, East Godai
Personality:
Persona Jax is easygoing and does things his own way. He loves adventure and rushing into things. He prefers to act before he thinks and to ask forgiveness later. He is a simple, action-oriented man. He walks with purpose and does not speak unless he has to. He is open about his wants and desires with others and doesn't hide much if someone asks. He is comfortable with crowds and desires for people to notice him, but is not dependent on their opinions to fuel his self-esteem. Jax is quick to assert his ideas and opinions. When in the company of others, he likes to have fun, though his idea of a joke can be rather harsh and curt.
Jax does not speak when the topic shifts to that of intellectual, abstract concepts, or talk about the happenings of Godai other than the subjects he knows about. He has little patience for others' bullcrap. Jax is strict about matters concerning health, and disdains others' unhealthy habits. Jax will not hesitate to point out what he dislikes about others. He also will not hesitate to point out what he likes in others.
He is a man of justice, and will seek to have all be treated fairly. However, Jax is not without fault. He can be rather prideful and is prone to showing off his skills. He can be rough in his dealings with others, especially in matters concerning health, his dignity, and the dignity of his family. He is uncompromising and will not back down from a fight. He can also lose himself in his activities too much, even reaching the point of over-exerting himself.
On the positive spectrum, Jax is generous with his time. If he devotes himself to a cause, he is the first on the front lines and takes charge when others don't. He has a weak spot for the vulnerable and innocent. He loves to challenge others and will not leave a person behind. He does not hold grudges and expects the same of others.
Anima When he is all alone, Jax is introspective. He works through his problems, and enjoys life through his senses. He likes to break down how things feel kinesthetically to him. His main mode of learning is through hands on trial and error. Jax not only works out his body, but he is attentive to all the sensations that come with building and breaking muscle. He has great spatial awareness and quick reflexes.
Jax's thoughts and aspirations are defined by what he can do now and he seeks physical, tangible results. He does not entertain abstract, hypothetical ideas. Jax likes to lose himself in whatever he is doing, and goes with the flow. He prefers not to be alone when doing physical activity. When he does find himself alone, he can be harsh on himself.
When he isn't pushing his body to its limits, Jax enjoys calming music and nature. He sees life as a continuously chugging train, with sights to see, people to meet, and a destination defined by your own hands.
He sees those closest to him as his greatest gems, but sees himself as unqualified to take care of them. He sees himself in a lesser light in comparison to how hard working his sister and dad is, and weaker than his mother who has lived a life mostly bed-ridden.
Jax is not one to forget people after he has met them, but has trouble keeping in touch. He forgives and forgets, and this is due to him being flighty and adventurous. He hates to settle and this annoys those closest to him. He combats his physical shortcomings with training and rigor, whilst he runs from his emotional, mental, and spiritual shortcomings.
Early on in his life, he was diagnosed with ADHD and then it was pinpointed to Dyslexia. He has a strong dislike for being told his limits, and he still gets stressed when dealing with activities that require him to digest written, intensive information and complicated math. He avoids having to complete complex procedures, for fear of messing up and thus sticks to simple, manual jobs. Earlier in his life, his Dyslexia affected his motor and other cognitive skills. He had relied on procedural memory in his early school years, with increased help from his mother. As he grew older, he worked on refining his motor skills, and attributes his athletic development to his mother's example and the support of those he worked and trained with.
History: Infanthood (0-3) Jax was born prematurely at 7months old and 4 pounds. His first months were spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and his lungs were weak. He was discharged and attached to his mother at the hip, and grew anxious whenever he was separated from her. As the second child of the family, his parents, specifically his mother, were all too willing to give him the attention. He learned to walk at 1 and a half, ate solid food by the handful, and continued to stick things in his mouth until he was a three-year old.
His sister would pamper him at this age, his dad would teach him the alphabet and periodic table of elements, and his mother cradled him even after he was potty-trained. He saw the four erect walls of his house as his playground; his parents would not let him out since his lungs still needed support and the dusty, arid air of Weswell made him exhausted.
Childhood (4-12) Once Jax was old enough to go to pre-school, he would spend every other day at home to recover from the exposure to the outdoors. He began to question why they wouldn’t let him go out with his friends, and the answer was always the same. When at home, his dad would teach him in the sciences, but he had no aptitude for them. His mother realized that he was a kinesthetic learner, and thus taught him how to sew, knit, play piano and cook at a young age.
Jax gravitated more then to his mother for advice, or any problem since she spent more time with him. His father was closer to his older daughter, and focused on teaching Jax's older sister Kelia the more “intellectual” subjects. Despite this difference interests, Jax clung onto his older sister and he still had a huge admiration for his dad, despite their relationship being more distant. Jax learned his basic arithmetic, reading and writing on the days he could make it to school. This cycle of school, home, teacher, dad and mom, continued until the third grade when he turned eight and his lungs grew stronger.
Like a bird set free, Jax went on to join as many extracurricular sports as he could. Soccer, baseball, football, he was the worst at all these activities at first, but received overwhelming support from his teammates. His mom's main spiel was to "practice, practice, and practice til you get tired of practice and want to punch it in the face." He balanced these with his activities at home, which he had a knack for, but his grades began to slip. A school counselor diagnosed Jax with ADHD, but his dad would not agree to giving him treatment and his mom argued that he was fine when he was out of school. Jax's was restless because he preferred his extracurriculars to school, and refused to pay attention, not because of his disability.
Around the fifth grade, Jax’s parents would allow him to go out with friends and he bonded with his schoolmate Jackson. The two bonded over having a similar name, so Jackson went by Jicky. He lived only five minutes away, and whenever he had sleepover’s at Jicky’s house, the two would play video games and hangout. Jicky’s parents would often yell and fight whenever his dad would come home from his work two towns away. Jax, who was once the weak one, became a source of strength and companionship for Jicky. The two would do everything together and they grew in and out various fads.
Adolescence (13-19) In his third year of secondary school, Jax was diagnosed with Dyslexia. After learning what it was. His mother was understanding, but his father wore a scowl since he didn’t believe that a single diagnosis couldn’t be overcome with hard work. Once Jicky found out, however, he used Jax’s Dyslexia as a fortune-telling scheme. Kids would come with their questions, and as Jax misread their questions Jicky would interpret them as fortunes. They were found out by the principal, and had been suspended but the incident made them even closer friends.
Despite the pain, Dyslexia was nothing more to Jax than how he saw the world, and though at first it struck him that his condition was treated like a disease, he never felt alienated by it. He never had introduced himself as dyslexic to others and didn't change that fact just because of the diagnosis.
Further along in secondary school, Jax and Jicky joined a new “movement” called the Aurists. These kids followed self-appointed leaders that sought unity and “fusion with their pokemon”. Different gangs formed at different highshools, and those with pokemon competed in skirmishes. Skirmishes included pokebattles and turf wars. Jax's family didn't want him to have a pokemon, which Jax hated. He borrowed Jicky’s Murkrow, Alexiana. Jax and Lexi were in charge of taking the other team’s flag and though he was never allowed a pokemon, his athleticism and quick actions won several victories for his team the “Shieldon Spurs”. He learned the dynamics of teamwork and gained a disdain for ineffective leadership, thus realizing that his need to be alone wasn't just a result of him being cooped up at home for most of his life.
Aside from getting scolded by his dad for his grades, Jax continued to participate in school sports. Because of the conditioning of his mom when he was younger During his fourth year of secondary school, the Aurist groups used a nearby abandoned mine for their activities and were discovered by the local law enforcement. Around the same time, Jicky’s parents became divorced and he moved with his dad further north.
Jax was broken hearted by this. His grades continued to slack, he pushed himself even harder at sport practices, and lost his appetite for a while. Around the tide of his Junior year, his own parents began to quarrel. He started to fear.
Jax knew that his mother was an alcoholic, but her condition got even worse when her husband got a promotion. His dad stayed more days at the GSUC laboratories and spent more time away from home. His mother, the poor dear, drank more and more.
Then it happened. Jax was woken up one night. A high pitched scream sounded followed by a series of hurried phrases and babbling. It was Jax's dad. When Jax rushed down with Kelia, his sister, his dad was frantic and on the phone with 911. His mom had passed out on the floor with a beer bottle in her hand and froth on her mouth.
Parapalegic stroke. A mixture of stress and the alcohol. She didn’t die, but she entered a coma. His family had the money to keep her on the line, and continued to hope for her recovery. Kelia had just graduated from secondary school and so she continued to GSUC. His dad, mom and sister moved to Cadence, since the more advanced medical facilities were there and it was closer to Kelia's school. Jax stayed behind in Weswell to finish highschool. His aunt moved in to watch him. He didn’t know her all too well, and she was hyper critical of all he did. His aunt was never home, was always out with other guys and and Jax spent most of his days alone. Being away from his mom plagued Jax's mind with fear and uncertainty. He thought he had lost his mom. The stress overwhelmed him, his Dyslexia got worse, and his school work suffered. He barely scraped by in his subjects, but his father was too occupied to be disappointed.
Jax had always wished to pursue baseball when he graduated secondary school, but faced with his mother’s near death state, he didn’t feel like pursuing that dream anymore. He’d visit his family at every opportunity he could, almost every weekend at first, but his dad was never the same. He continued to blame himself and stayed buried in his work. Jax put on the same pre-occupied front and ignored his dad and sister.
Graduation came and went. He was one GPA point from being declined his diploma. None of his family members came to his graduation, but his friend held his holocaster so his sister could facetime the event. Jax's best graduation present, was that his mom woke up a week after he got his diploma. She was still weak, however, so he decided to stay in Weswell. He wanted to keep the house clean and kept for when his family would hopefully move back home. His sister and father continued their studies at GSUC.
One of his neighbors, Vincent, decided to hire Jax to have him work at the mines near Weswell. As a recent graduate, Jax was now 19 and he welcomed the challenge and job at the company.
Adulthood (20-Now) Jax worked at the mines for four years, and it was where he grew physically. The other workers worked had their pokemon do all the work, but not Jax. He didn't have a pokemon and refused to borrow one out of pride. The young adult would challenge himself to carry the heavy loads like the other fighting type pokemon, specifically the Machoke and thus obtained the nickname Jax the Choker.
On his days off, he would ride the train to the GSUC and meet his mom at rehabilitation. She had paralysis in half of her body, but now worked her way to be able to move around in a wheelchair. With a job, and things looking better, Jax continued to live through the cycle of job, keeping the home clean and visiting his mom.
At the mines, his boss Vincent had a younger brother that also worked there and was the same age as Jax. His name was Dyonn. The two would hang out at and after the mines. They joined a local basketball team for fun and took runs and hike around Weswell. Jax disdained his attention at first but he could not avoid him. He was an excellent storyeller and always told Jax what he wanted to hear- a kiss-up. Jax's favorite part about Dyonn was his stories about his older uncle, who traveled Godai on his own, with no pokemon. Dyonn’s uncle was a boring man, Jax would soon learn, but Dyonn's knack of storytelling made every story stick in Jax's mind. He talked about how his uncle almost ran the entire circumference of Godai five full times, but was stopped by a broken knee. Despite knowing most of it was fiction, Jax was inspired nonetheless.
Jax trained harder both in and out of the mines. He decided to quit his job when one of the miner’s planned a whole month of exploring the mountain ranges. Dyonn also convinced his older brother to leave and go with Jax, and together they left.
What was supposed to be a one month journey turned into a year of traveling with the same group to climb the sites of Godai. Jax was now 24, and after not seeing his family all too much in that time, decided to return home. Dyonn came with him and they both took up jobs as construction workers in the newer sector of Weswell. His mother had relapsed a bit when he was gone, and was bedridden, further enforcing Jax to settle into his job.
Jax’s aunt, his dad’s sister, the same one who watched him in high school had moved out to help take care of his mother. She was supposed to stay and watch Jax at Weswell, but disappeared to take care of "work related matters" once Jax graduated.
He stayed at his job in Weswell with the hope that his mother would grow well enough to return, and visited her regularly for a couple years, back into the old swing of things. He also visited his sister and dad, who had become a Neuroscientist and a Professor in Brain and Trauma respectively. In two years, his mom got better enough to return to her wheelchair and Jax received a promotion at the construction site.
Now at 26, Jax was surprised by a visit by his old friend, Jicky. His old friend now had a two-month old daughter, Saria, and a wife, Analisa. As a dad, he wanted to focus his attention on his family and so decided to hand over one of his pokemon to Jax (Lexi). Jicky lived in Brillaya with his family, and after inviting Jax over for a visit, Jax decided he wanted his mother to stay near the ocean in Brillaya. The fresh air and beautiful view would be beneficial to her.
With the money his dad and sister were making, they agreed to Jax's idea and were able to rent a small condominium beside the ocean. Jax quit construction and got a job as a lifeguard, and took on a new hobby of surfing. His mother loved the move and their aunt moved in to help.
They settled here for three years. Life wasn’t easy, but his mom got better enough to move onto crutches. Jax took on multiple jobs, not for the money, but for the experience. He helped rent jet-skis for a while, coached a volleyball middle-school team for a year, after recently taking up the sport, participated in different swimming competitions, and enrolled into the fire academy.
At his time at the fire academy Jax had made a new friend at Brillaya who introduced him to pokeathlons. Trainers and their pokemon would compete together doing various activities in wild locations around Godai. This scratched an itch for adventure that soon turned into a rash for Jax. Settling in Brillaya did little to satisfy his adventurous spirit. He called up his old friend Dyonn, who had returned to the Weswell mines and took up a sector that his older brother had been in charge of. He tried to persuade Dyonn to join him. He refused to join him, thinking the decision was immature, and told him to stay at the academy. Jax was furious at being told what to do.
Jax left his mother to the care of his aunt, left the fire academy and signed up for the pokeathlons. He was now thirty. There he met one of his old mountain-climbing partners, Pruitt. However, he got injured at one of their practices and was dispatched.
Now Jax is jobless, armless and ashamed to return back to his family. His story continues.

She has heavy footsteps, is flexible, and deliberate in all her gestures. Her confidence shines through her bright eyes and sturdy gaze. She has a flatter chest than most her age, which she makes up for with her curved hips. She has medium-sized hands and large feet, which help with her balance.
Extra Image |
-Hometown: Scurarte Town, East Godai
Personality Livvy is passionate, opinionated, and dauntless. She comes off as quiet and reserved because she dislikes having her time wasted by superficial interactions. Though she is deaf, Livvy’s hates when people show her pity for it. She is observant, accommodating and composed, but is ready at any time to cause tension if a situation calls for it. She uses straightforward language and hates being wasteful of time, food, money, you name it.
Livvy's hearing disability has taught her to care more about the core of the people she interacts with, and has relied on her other senses to gauge the situations. She has an acute sensitivity to motion and temperature, thus she can be found adjusting her layers of clothing for comfort. She expresses herself through her work and can't live without having something to do. She is a list-maker, and loves to get things done, no matter what the task is.
Livvy finds worth in seeing those closest to her thrive. Even at the sake of her own flourishing, Livvy would rather suffer herself than to see those closest to her suffer. However, the list of people she considers worth fighting for is limited to the few that have gained her trust. As a person with a disability, Livvy is aware of the many that could potentially take advantage of her, thus she is wary of whom she lets close. She isn't paranoid about who she lets into her circle, however, for she knows her own worth.
Livvy's downfall lies in her short-sightedness. She may attach herself to a project or cause and can work for days to complete that project, but the moment when something goes awry or the trajectory of the project changes slightly, she can stubbornly persist in methods that are no longer fit for the changing situation. Livvy does not tolerate when others mess with her way of doing things. Also, she does hold the mentality that if something or someone is not serving her cause, then she holds less worth
Livvy strives to connect with, defend and nurture those who are outcast or in danger of being casted out. She will fight against any injustice that falls upon those she deems to be ill-treated, and has an 'us against them' mentality towards people of status. History "6 pounds, 7 ounces, a healthy baby girl. She was born with her eyes open, and... she cried like she was trying to speak." Olivia was born with a hearing disability which had her slightly deaf in her left ear. Over time her hearing deteriorated.
Born and raised by her loving father and mother, Olivia grew under her parents constant attention and guidance. Ever since she was young, she had an aptitude to learn and took charge of her own education at a young age. Her parents insisted on teaching her themselves. Her keen memory and ability to retain a lot of information helped her as she grew in her homeschooled environment, even when her hearing began to deteriorate around her 10th birthday. Her left ear became very weak while she lost all hearing in her right ear. This was disheartening to her parents, as Olivia's hearing continued to fade away until the world around her was almost fully bathed in silence. Her parents then hired a sign-language instructor for the whole family, and Olivia quickly picked up the language. Once she began relying on sign language to speak, however, she refused to lose her vocal ability and thus can still hold conversations today by reading lips.
Her parents had always been a busy couple and chose to do everything together once they got married. They were scientists who traveled all around Godai in their youth to study the growth and evolution of how pokemon, specifically pokemon locomotion. The process in which pokemon gained extra limbs or wings always intrigued them. Livvy's mother and father, Janice and Herbert, respectively wanted to be a pilot and an astronaut in their youth, thus their interest in the field of pokemon locomotion. Sadly they were unable to fulfill their dreams as their priorities changed when they decided to have Olivia and Dylan, the two apples of their eyes. Their family settled down for a while, trying to fit into the mold of a "white-picket fence" family. Yet, Livvy's parent's thirst for knowledge continued to fester as an itch they couldn't scratch whilst cooped up in their three-bedroom home.
After a long time away from work, the two scientists received a call from their former lab mates describing an breakout of new pokemon in Godai, and couldn't resist returning to their field. As loving and caring parents, they couldn't leave their darling children behind and so they decided to bring Olivia and Dylan along. What first originated as a strict parental interest soon turned into a full fledged family occupation, and in order to keep their children safe in the field, they gave them both pokemon to take care of and protect them.
Olivia has grown to love her parents' job and has taken to learning more and more about pokemon everyday. After receiving her own pokemon, Olivia began to learn how to read and understand pokemon, even without the use of her hearing. Evetually, after years of homeschooling and preparation, Livvy received her official Assistant Pokemon Resarcher documents, allowing her to work out in the field in addition to being tied in with the relatively small research facility in her hometown Scurarte.
After two years as an assistant researcher, Livvy joined a branch of Godai State University's Specie-Preservation program. Now she works as a researcher and field agent, seeking to protect endangered pokemon species. Special Conditions Livvy was born deaf, and though she has had some hearing restored to her left ear, it is not enough for her to rely on it. It does, however, help her in speaking as she can vaguely hear the pitch of her own voice, though is often unaware of how loudly or softly she is speaking at the time.
Livvy also has a special condition called Synesthesia. It is a condition in which sensory or cognitive stimulation of one pathway causes an automatic and involuntary experience in a secondary sensory or cognitive pathway. In relation to Livvy, her Synesthesia causes her to see colors outline different letters, numbers, and specific GSL (Godain Sign Language) gestures. Livvy also sees various colors and images when she tastes different flavors. In addition to being a Synesthete, Livvy is also a tetrachromat, which allows her to see a wider range of colors. To her, each number also has its own personality. The even numbers are outlined with brighter and happier colors, while the odd numbers have darker, mellower colors. The number 0 and round objects in general are always pleasing to look at.
Just like her deafness, Livvy is proud of her Synesthesia. Though she does not have to explain it often to others, it has always been a part of her. It is because of her Synesthesia that she likes to have things ordered in her own way, and appreciates those who respect her for it.

Character Profile
"There could have never been two hearts so open, no tastes so similar, no feelings so in unison, no countenances so beloved." - Jane Austen, Persuasion |

Character Name: Acacia Opalski Nickname: Cia Gender: Female Age: 25
| Birthday: January 3 Trainer Class: Single Mom Height: 5'8" Weight: 134 lbs |
Born In: Vlostik Town, West Godai
Personality:
Persona Acacia gives her best into everything she does, which often manifests into feats of admirable determination or unrelenting stubbornness. She has picked up the habit of finding a reason to complete every task she is offered, and sees saying no as an unforgivable if the reason isn't large enough for her high self-expectations. Others see her as unconventional, "kind", lovable at times but mostly generous with an eccentric twist. Baking for events with seemingly little importance, cheering for even the smallest of achievements and hopping at the chance to nurse another person back to health at the slightest perception of illness are a few of her eccentricities.
This determination and fickle devotion provides her with spurts of energy that she pours into the first task that she finds important, and she sees it through to its respective end. She takes little time to discern the importance of such tasks, thus she is prone to be manipulated by others. Despite her thin, frail and absent-minded appearance, Acacia has the endurance of a marathon runner, the locked-on vision of a hunter and the self-assurance of a Slaking in its jungle.
Acacia is a quick learner, aware of her abilities and capable of finding the means to acquire any skill she sets her mind to. She lacks a natural curiosity to learn for herself, however, and thus has gained a knowledge of random skills and abilities all on the encouragement of others. She sees her skills as favors done for others, nothing more. Thus, she rarely advertises her abilities unless directly asked.
Acacia has more hope in others than she does in herself. Despite her self-assurance she has low self-esteem and lacks confidence in her self image. She finds herself stuck in admiration for others and melts at any compliment that goes her way. It's not that she dislikes attention, she just thinks that others deserve it more than she does. Anima Deep inside, Acacia yearns for recognition. She holds every deed she has done, every achievement she's accomplished and every person she's helped as meeting expectations, tasks that needed to be done anyway. However, she knows this is far from the truth but would rather believe this lie than face all the times she was manipulated to do something and not given sufficient compensation for the task.
Acacia has resigned herself to a subservient nature, always finding a reason to see herself as the lesser person in all her relationships. This was nurtured by her mother's example, whose very words were, "a proper lady never sees herself as more than a prop". As she grew older, she recognized that this was a toxic mindset to have. She owes all she's been able to do to the people she's devoted herself to more than her own hard work, however, which has kept her from giving herself the recognition she deserves.
Despite her focus on others, Acacia craves time for herself. As much time as she devotes to helping others, she also would prefer to not do anything. Long walks by herself, hours spent daydreaming in public places, and conversation with herself during menial tasks are a few of her favorite things to do. Most people stumble upon her when she is in this state, thus they are thrown off by her go-get-it nature when it arises. Acacia uses this time to probe her innermost being, break down the concepts she is trying to absorb, and more importantly, cope with the rushing world around her.
