Pokemon Centers, Pokemarts & Items Q&A
Pokemon Centers Pokémon Centers are designed for Trainers so they can rest between activities. Trainers use Pokémon Centers as gathering places, so they can share information about Pokémon. They also have access to video phones, PCs with trading functions and most offer free food and lodging. As a Pokémon journey can take a long time, Pokémon Centers can be used as mailing destinations. A Trainer can arrange for their loved ones to send them packages, typically to the next Pokémon Center they're traveling to. Inside a typical Pokémon Center, one can find a front desk, a lobby (sometimes with vending machines), a Poké Ball room, an Emergency Room with plenty of beds for injured Pokémon, a recovery room, a waiting room, rooms for lodging, and a cafeteria. A lobby may also have a large widescreen TV or several smaller TVs so Trainers can watch typically Pokémon-oriented shows. Pokemon Center kiosk are found in Contest Halls. This is the place where you will go to heal up your Pokemon and/or take out or put in Pokemon into your PC. After giving the nurse your Pokeballs, she places them on a machine to heal them (this will only take a minute). Usually in the corner is the PC. A computer where you can digitally place your extra pokemon. You may only have 6 Pokemon at a time. So catching a new Pokemon while you already have six will result in the new Pokemon being transported into the PC. A PC is a large computer with a holder for Pokeballs. Simply place your Pokeball on it and it will be stored away. You can roleplay this process in a thread.
Pokemarts A Pokemart is a shop for you to buy items for your Pokemon. These items can vary from Pokeballs to Medicine. Before using any new items, you MUST first make a modification to subtract the right amount of kips and add the items you bought. After your modification is approved, you may use the items in your thread (or at least have them). You can roleplay the process of shopping in a thread, but before you go any further you must make a Mod. Vitamins A vitamin is a nutritious drink. They are used to boost the stats of a Pokémon. They are very expensive. All vitamins raise the stat they are made to increase by 5 and only 5 vitamins can be used on a Pokemon. Ever. Of course they can still be used to quench your thirst. Stats & Bonus Stats Before you can get your trainer approved you must have a Pokemon! Lets walk you through stats... First! Choose any one of the Standard Starter Pokemon!
For example, we'll be using Psyduck! Every Pokemon starts with 55 stat points. 10 must go to each stat and once you have 10 in each stat, you can distribute the other 5 stat points anyway you'd like. Every time Psyduck levels up, he gains 1 stat point that you can distribute to any one of Psyduck's stats. Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, & Speed. Passively, your Pokemon's two best base stats get a 25% bonus! Health is determined by level, evolution, and the Pokemon's base health. Since your Pokemon's two best stats get a 25% boost, Lets look at Psyduck's base stats shall we? (We use Bulbapedia or Serebii.) Special Attack and Speed are the highest base stats, so they get the bonus.
Since all starter Pokemon start with 10 in each stat (except health), 10 + 25% = 12.5 (rounded down is 12.) That means Psyduck's Special Attack and Speed stat is 12. But we place "(+25% +2)" next to the original stat and leave the actual number alone. If you do NOT want to place that next to you stat, you can simply place the true number in a parentheses. Then you highlight the bonus stats BLUE and the hindering stat RED. If you need help calculating the bonus and hindering stat, simply type in " x + x% " in google for the answer. Remember to round down if it's not a whole number. Psyduck Obtained at Level 5

Pokemon get bonus stat points! But they also have hindering stats. They lose stat points based on their lowest base stat. Lets look at Psyduck's base stats again.
Psyduck's hindering stat is his defense stat. So he actually loses 15% of the stat points in that stat. 10 - 15% = 8.5 (Rounded down is 8.) So Psyduck's Defense stat is 8. Psyduck Obtained at Level 5

Tms and Hms A Technical Machine, or TM for short, is an item that, like an HM, is used to teach a Pokémon a move. A TM is a machine used by Pokémon Trainers to teach a Pokémon a new move that it might not learn otherwise. Prior to Generation V, TMs are single-use items. TMs can be found on the ground or bought at department stores. Some are also given away by Gym Leaders as prizes for defeating them in addition to a Badge.
Tm's resemble small compact discs that are inserted into a Pokedex which can give you information about the move. While the TM is in the Pokedex, you can also transfer the move into your Pokemon by pointing it at the Pokemon (that can learn it) and pressing "Confirm". This erases the TM blank.
For those who don't have Pokedex's can also use the PC. Enter the disc into the PC, choose the Pokemon that you wish to teach the move to and click "Confirm".
