It was Zack's time to travel around again. After a fairly long while, he'd show his face once more to the world. Now, he was stuck in the Glacial Flats for an unknown reason. As he had Makuhita, he wanted to travel around to try and find some pokémon to catch. Considering Makuhita is a fighting type, he proves well against Ice-type pokémon, which was a small profit for himself. Zack could surely find a few pokémon in the area, but he hoped Makuhita wouldn't get hurt too much, else he wouldn't be able to forgive himself. "Alright, let's take a look around. Makuhita, come out!" He spoke to himself, throwing his pokéball out to release Makuhita, as he happily jumped around in the snow, and Zack catching his pokéball back. "Let's find some new friends, Makuhita. I'm sure we can find other pokémon in this place, or I sure hope we do..." He spoke to himself, as he'd soon have to simply start walking, else they'd never get anywhere, really. So as Makuhita walked by his side, they seemed to be laughing and enjoying their time together. They were a trainer and pokémon that loved each other and held each other dear as good friends, so no problem there. Makuhita had few moves right now, but he was still a pretty sturdy pokémon. This was the first pokémon he caught, and it won't be the last. After all, how could you become a Master if you only had one pokémon? As soon as they crossed a border, the snow started to increase. It picked up and became a bit more cold, as he wrapped shut his coat firmly so he wouldn't freeze to death. Makuhita didn't seem to have a problem with this weather, his type was in his favor around here. Regardless, they'd need to look good to find a pokémon around here. All those icey snowy pokémon tended to blend in with all the snow.

He let out a sigh as the two of them hadn't seem to be finding anything so far, we all know that'd change eventually, but oh well. Then, he heard noise. There wasn't really grass, more like a snow field around them, but oh well, there was noise, so as we were ... Something seemed to move there! Wait, that's a- "Pokédex!" He spoke, as suddenly something appeared. A ... Leaf? Really? A set of waving leaves? It ... Wasn't even ... Wow. Just wow. There he stood with his jaw dropped, surprised all the more as Makuhita started laughing or something similar to it. So he had been fooled by nature for once, however, the fight wasn't over yet, he had plenty of time to work it out. As they decided to continue on their path, they encountered something that seemed to be not covered in snow: A road, a real one! If they'd follow this perhaps they'd be able to spot the pokémon better or find other people- Wait. No. You'd rather not find a different person, mostly it'd end up in a fight. He was here for a pokémon today, not for battles. Then, there it was again, that sensation, however, this time it was different. He felt the air flow through his clothes and his body as he inhaled deeply, holding his pokédex ready for action. Then, this time, something actually popped out! And it was- A pokémon?! Yes! Finally! *cough* As we were ... He stretched out his pokédex towards the strange pokémon. It kind of looked like a ... Bird stuck in it's egg? "What ... Pokémon is this?" "This is a Snover! It's both an ice type and a grass type combined, known to sometimes cast or cause hailstorms. Snovers mostly have great damage at their disposal, but are a bit slower than most other pokémon." The pokédex spoke, explaining what he was going to be in for. He'd rather take this chance to fight and catch this pokémon, since it- It is a wild one, right? No trainers around? Nope, not a tamed one! It's all for Zack! Wait a moment, aren't fighting types strong against Ice types? |

Being a fighter-type, Makuhita was the kind that had both power and a bit of speed. He was probably a bit faster than the Snover he'd be given to face here. With that, he'd decide to take this fight on, him and Zack were a good team together. "Alright Makuhita, let's do this! You shouldn't be afraid of it, let's dash in and get it good! Cmon Maken, Teamwork!" He shouted out, trying to get his Makuhita pumped up and excited. He seemed to take on a facial expression similiar to a mix of a grin and a smile as he walked closer towards the Snover. The distance wasn't too long, perhaps a meter. Snover and Makuhita were holding a staring battle before they'd start the actual fight. The tension started to rise in this odd situation, as Zack simply peered at both of them, awaiting a moment to strike. Then, he noticed a drop of hail falling down. The moment it hit the ground and shattered into pieces, he'd shout out swiftly: "Maken, use Tackle!" Then, the two pokémon seemed to charge at each other, as Makuhita dashed in-range of the Snover and lashed out a swift tackle aiming with his shoulder to get the Snover to the ground. The snover got pushed back, as it seemed to retaliate from the throwback of the tackle. Makuhita had gotten the first move in! But now, it was time for Snover to attack back. As the hail started to increase, Zack tried to get somewhere more safe so his head wouldn't be knocked in by all the hail, as Makuhita was struck by a few pieces, yet stood tall. It sure hurt a bit, but it wouldn't kill him. Snover lashed out a series of what appeared to be leaves. Razor leaf? Oh dear! The leaves flew out towards Makuhita, some of them hitting and causing small slashes across Makuhita's body. "M-Maken!" He shouted out, as Makuhita got hurt. Makuhita seemed to take a deep breath to push through the pain he was feeling, he had no time to linger around, he'd need to attack. Perhaps a fighting-move or a stronger move Maken had could do something better?

Now that it had come down to it, he'd have to change up the tactics. There weren't many options though. Makuhita only knew 3 moves, perhaps it wasn't enough to beat this Snover- No, it should be! The Snover was probably not too dominative in this area, it was known to hold weaker pokémon, what he did know is that Makuhita stood a chance, but so did this Snover. He let out a short sigh as he looked at Makuhita standing tall and ready. "Maken ... Let's do it! Arm Thrust!" Zack shouted out to command Makuhita's next move. Makuhita grunted as he dashed forward towards Snover which seemed curious, dealing out a swift palm-thrust, smacking into Snover's body. Before Snover would be pushed back, a second followed through and connected, as the Snover slid across the snow they were fighting on. "Nice!" Zack shouted out, showing his excitement. Makuhita grunted once more, he wasn't getting tricky yet. The Snover got cocky, as the leaves started to twist around it again, Makuhita decided to then become a bit more tricky than he was being. It was a large snow field with blocks of ice around them, and a few snowy trees. Perfect to take cover, right? With a type of grin, Makuhita dashed to the side, diving behind a thick block of ice. As the razor leaves flew through towards Makuhita, they cut the ice cleanly, but they couldn't really pierce or penetrate to hit Makuhita. He'd defended himself by being tricky. "One more! Arm Thrust!" Zack shouted, as he stood ready, flicking up a pokéball to catch the Snover, if the attack would work. Makuhita rushed aside from the ice, dashing forward, then, he used one of his arm thrusts to blow up snow to block a part of Snover's sight, then following through with a second Arm Thrust as the sight of Makuhita's palm was printed into the snow, smacking into Snover's face, followed by a third swift thrust to push the Snover against the ground. "You're mine, Snover!" He yelled out courageously. This might be the second pokémon he'd get in his life, an exhausted, worn-down Snover! LET'S DO THIS SHIT! As he flipped up a pokéball from out of his jacket, he swiftly grabbed it and threw it like a pitcher, as it gulped in the Snover, the pokéball starting to twist and tick to the sides. Patiently, as the awkward silence rose, the two were waiting, staring towards the pokéball. Makuhita didn't move an inch, and Zack's jaw was wide open, sweat dripping from his face. Then ... And then ... It stopped. The pokéball stood still, as the dropped jaw changed into a wide smile! "Yes! YES! I DID IT!" He shouted, as he went to Makuhita, hugging him as the two were jumping around. Swiftly after their short victory dance, he picked up the pokéball and wiped it clean. "Welcome to my little family, Snover!" |

He let out a sigh, as he was worried about both Snover and Makuhita. Snover barely lived through fainting and being caught, and Makuhita had some wounds. The last thing he wanted was to encounter something else. If he would, he'd have to flee, or take it to the point where they could be hurt really badly. Makuhita still seemed a bit healthy, so that wasn't a problem, but, this snover probably couldn't fight a lot anymore. One hit was all needed to knock this Snover out. "Snover, Maken ... Just hold on, I'll bring you guys to a pokécenter as fast as I can! Please, don't let anything get in my way..." He spoke to himself, with a worried look forming in his eyes. He wasn't going to cry, but he was very worried. What if they'd die? He'd never forgive himself. He was their trainer and wants to become a master, they're now his responsibility and he has to take good care of them. He shortly let out the weakened Snover as he remembered he had a potion on him. He'd start spraying it across Snover to patch him up a bit, as the Snover seemed to smile now. Putting him back in the pokéball to let it rest, he'd go further. And then, it'd simply all ... Go to waste. He looked over a small hill, seing movement. Something shakey ... Wait what? Is that ... Yellow? No ... Blonde! Blonde hair- Oh god no, please no! A trainer ... He would most probably lose hard with a battered-up Snover and a weakened Makuhita, no matter which pokémon the opponent'd have, oh well, guess that's one loss to face. He'd still do his best, though! Was this guy dressed in summer clothes, holding a guitar, in the middle of a land of ice? Oh well. "Heeyyyyy youuu there ... Let's battleeee mannnn" The hippie spoke, as he flicked out a pokéball to release a pokémon. Is that a Drowzee? A psychic-type. Zack didn't know though, he flipped up his pokédex to check first to confirm the small details. He let out a sigh as he had no choice but to battle this guy anyway. He'd try with Snover. Snover was an ice-type, and after catching him Zack found out his Snover has Powder Snow. With little luck, in this cold and wide snow-filled field, he'd have an extra chance to freeze that Drowzee. "Snover ... I trust you, let's do this. Let's go! Zack shouted, throwing out Snover as he jumped out of the pokéball while it opened, standing firm. The moment he got out, it started to twist around a few times, as hail seemed to pick up again. "Pound him, Drowzee!" The hippie shouted, as Drowzee charged forward to smack Snover. Snover got hit cleanly, but it wasn't enough to take him down, clearly. As Snover rushed around, seeming to run circles around Drowzee, Zack told him something smart: "Now, Powder Snow!" He'd cast a type of powder-snow tornado by running around Drowzee and shooting out a brush of cold, icey snow at Drowzee. Drowzee seemed to be able to follow, but still got hit. However, sadly, Drowzee hadn't frozen. "Disable!" The hippie yelled out, as Drowzee seemed to cast some psychic-like magic. It worked. From this point on, Snover couldn't use Powder Snow anymore.

Letting out a deep sigh, Zack realised it as well. No longer could Snover use Powder Snow in this fight, or at least for a while. If Snover lasted long enough, Powder Snow would be available, however, Zack himself doubted it would happen. They were still surrounded, and the last powder snow he made created bits of ice and big heaps of snow on the field they were fighting on. This gave Snover more covers to hide around. It was time for Snover to retaliate, although it was at less than half of it's strength by now, or close to half at least. Drowzee was still standing tall. It was only one hit that landed. "Razor Leaf!" Zack shouted, as Snover swiftly released a set of razor-sharp leaves shooting towards Drowzee. Drowzee crossed it's arms as the leaves made small cuts on it's upper body, another hit. Was this Drowzee perhaps a bit stupid? No, not stupid. Drowzee seemed rather ... Calm, relaxed, composed, like that hippie guy. The hippie wasn't flustering about anything and just seemed to relax. The next move might change the battle, though. "Hypnosis!" The hippie spoke out, as Drowsee sent out some odd purple-coloured wave to Snover. Snover blinked it's eyes as it didn't know how to respond to this, and it hit. Although Hypnosis does no damage initially, it confuses the opponent if it hits. The hail rained down on Drowzee as it pecked a few pieces against it's head. This little help would weaken Drowzee through time, but would Snover stay up long enough for the Hail to help enough? "Try to Tackle him, Snover!" As Snover ran towards Drowzee, it's sight seemed to become blurry, as it tackled into the ground, hurting itself a bit. "S-Snover!" Snover got to it's feet, as the next move was on Drowzee. "Pound, again" The confused Snover didn't stand a chance, as the pound hit it again, as it fel backward, confused still. There had to be some way to get out of this, right? If only Zack knew. This was going to be a close call either way, as the hail pounded into Drowzee again. It did show to do a little extra damage on Drowzee. Drowzee was starting to get exhausted more and more.

As all seemed like lost hope, the Snover standing on it's last bit of strength, and Drowzee still at around half of it's own, the match might be lost. At least until Snover stood, and seemed to firmly shake it's head. Did it snap out of it by the pounds it had been hit with? Snover glared towards the Drowzee, as it was ready to retaliate and attack back. Zack noticed as he smiled. "Let's do this Snover. Razor Leaf!" He yelled out with excitement, as Drowzee got the full load on him again. However, it didn't seem to do a lot. Drowzee still had some strength left, and Snover was considerably weakened to the point it can barely stand. The next attack would finish this. "Pound! End it!" The hippie spoke, as Snover couldn't move anymore. Drowzee rushed in and smacked Snover, as Snover dropped down into the snow, clearly unconscious. "Snover! Are you alright?! Oh man oh man oh man this is bad..." "Don' worry kiddo, you can heal that little pokémon in the pokémon center after this, it'll be fine." The hippie spoke, trying to comfort and calm Zack down a bit. The hail and the razor leaves had done a good amount of damage, it would all be left to Makuhita now. As he put Snover back in it's pokéball, he'd throw Makuhita into the battle. Makuhita held a grin on it's face, it lost a bit of power, but it wouldn't lose that easily. Makuhita was first as Drowzee attacked before. This Drowzee was panting. Did the razor leaves and hail deal this damage? Good, Makuhita could probably at least win over Drowzee. Aren't fighting-types weaker against Psychics? Well, without knowing, Zack would just fight what was ahead of him. And the Drowzee only had Disable and hypnosis anyway, they didn't deal damage, or at least not directly. "Arm Thrust!" He spoke, as like previously, Makuhita's first hit blew snow towards Drowzee to blind it. Then, with a swift 3-hit combo, Makuhita attacked. The Drowzee got pushed back, but seemed to shrug it off. "Disable!" And once more, disable hit, without Makuhita even realizing. It was fast... The hippie must've thought Arm Thrust might hurt his Drowzee more as it's more than a single hit. "Tackle!" Zack shouted, as Makuhita rammed into Drowzee, busting him into the snow field they were standing on. Drowzee was weak now, but there was one move left. "Hypnosis!" That move again. And Makuhita didn't even care, he let it hit, taking it right on with a grin. He started feeling drowsy and dizzy now, but he'd have to fight. As his eyes seemed to twirl around, he shortly got a gaze on Drowzee. This might be the last attack he could hit. "Go, Tackle!" He said, as Makuhita responded with his body, ramming down Drowzee. That decided it. With using Snover to weaken Drowzee, and Makuhita to deal the last few blows, it was over, Makuhita won the battle against Drowzee. Drowzee was returned to it's ball, as the hippie held another ball in his hand. Wait- Oh goddamnit!

This pokémon ... Flicking up the pokédex again, he'd find this to be an Electrike. This was a troubling pokémon to fight, and it appears to be a lightning-type, at least judging by the looks of the pokédex. It looked hyper and excited to the contrary of the hippie trainer that was it's master. Electrike was fast, but Makuhita attacked last time so it was up to Electrike regardless. Electrike dashed out with a tackle, busting right into Makuhita. Makuhita stood, as he retaliated with a tackle, instead, grabbing onto Electrike and pushing as hard as he could to tackle him. However, it caused Makuhita to slip and knock it's head against the ice on the ground. Sure, that hurt. OF COURSE IT HURT, DAMNIT! It's ice, that shit ain't soft, yo. Makuhita still couldn't use his arm thrust, it'd be a tackle-battle, that's why the trainer's words weren't needed. Electrike hyperly dashed around Makuhita to tackle him in the back as Makuhita felt that one good. It hurt, it hurt so much, yet he didn't want to give up yet, Makuhita wanted to fight so much more, he was having fun, even though they were losing. The confusion would make Makuhita lose hard, that's the problem. The moment Makuhita tried to turn around and tackle, he'd simply smack into a block of ice. Makuhita was pretty much done for, he wouldn't last much longer than a minute. Electrike's last speedy tackle came, busting into Makuhita's chest as he dropped backward against the block of ice. Makuhita wanted to at least hit one more tackle, but, he slipped on the ice, and fell to the ground, knocking himself out... Makuhita, has fainted. "Makuhita!" Zack shouted, as he ran to him. He kneeled down, looking at Makuhita. Both Snover and Makuhita needed help. "Nice fight mannn." While the Snover capture had been easy, but he'd got damaged. After this, a potion helped Snover to strengthen up a bit, leaving to fight the stranger. Managing to deal some good damage out on Drowzee, Snover fainted, and Makuhita picked up the last hits. Then, due to the Hypnosis's effect, Makuhita lost to himself, rather than Electrike... He had to get to the pokécenter now. All he did was hold the two pokéballs close to him, running as fast as he could, in hope he'd soon find a pokécenter. Thread Summary
