The Peter Laviolette penalty kill at its best, he did that for two year wwith us and we cant figure out how to beat it!!??? WE CANNOT PLAY AROUND AT THE BLUELINE, Peter likes to cycle three men up high and three men down low. We have to work near the outside hashes and rotate the point man towards the middle, set up shots from there if you are content at using the point. Otherwise you gotta play from the boards to behind the net and either curl or something, but it cannot be a conventional 2 point men, 2 hashmen, 1 in front of the net. If we do that, we will not spend a lot of time at their end on the PP and they will probably get a goal. |

I agree with everything you mentioned, bowchow.. BUT disagree with you on the Satan Yashin point... to me, the two loom lost. Yashin is the best forward on that line but the two, just don't click it seems. TD |

maybe it is time to seperate them for a little. Afterall, satan has yet to score a point in the preseason + regular season combined. Second period thoughts: Started out like crap Cycling was real good Good hard shots, although i think we shouldve taken more The parrish call was an ehh one. IF you are going to call interference you gotta give the guy a penalty, if it is not enough to get him a penalty the goal has to stand. The ref fucked himself on that one. I apoligize to mister blake, his waterbug like attitude is a real sparkplug, he is even passing much more then he was two years ago. Set york up beautifully. Parrish is doing what he is best at doing I hate niiniimaa with such a passion I think i saw webb20 on the blakey goal, i wonder if he was wearing a FDNY hat |

smoked 'em??? Sorry but that was tyoo much of a nail biter to consider this win a smoking. This team has problems if we can't play 60 minutes against a tired Carolina team on the opening night in Nassua. Tony D. |

whats up gang!!! huge win on saturday night i've been going through some growing pains lately... 1)my parents computer has a virus 2) i quit fire academy b/c of personal reasons, but i'm going back in feb. so i'm happy to see our isles team. they got dominated in the first. DP really saved our asses. they really stepped it up in the second, and in the third. onto Florida at the BARN tomorrow at 1pm bates played awesome.. pp was sluggish in first pd, picked it up in the 2nd... blake continues to impress, but when he scores in a game, he cycles with the puck to himself after the goal and tries to score another... defense needs to pick it up to stay alive in the east confrence... dp is the best!!!!! need more forechecking.. just my thoughts, b/c Florida is a tough team and luongo is playing awesome. i watched them play the bolts back-to-back on sunshine and they were impressive.. *side note- yashin/satan will be broken up by end of the year.. |
