I will be listening on NHL.com's internet radio broadcast.

What usually happens is that I end up listening to the other team's broadcast because it is has a clearer signal (for some reason). It is kind of creepy to listen to!! So far, no one has given the Isles a chance to win ... the announcers are downright insulting. It is like listening to someone bad mouth your family! lol!

They're like "Oh! And Hunter gets creamed by Richards! Hunter is writhing in agony--what a bodycheck! Mike Richards has really made his prescence known! He isn't scared of anyone on this team from Long Island! Just ask Hunter who is still down!"

Having listened to Toronto's broadcasts for years, I can honestly say that Toronto has the least impartial broadcasters I've ever heard. It is like they assume the Leafs are better than whatever team they're playing and that that team is intimidated when they come to TO! What a joke! Especially this year.

Kris King for the Isles, though, is among the best for giving the team's equal coverage and some respect IMO.
Yashin, you ARE the weakest link. Goodbye.

In the pregame interview with Howie Rose, coach Steve Stirling just said,
"don't be surprised if you see Asham on the line with Yashin and Satan".

I like this move, temporary or not...it shows hard work and effort reaps rewards.
Aside from that, Asham provides a physical forchecking presence and he has the offensive skills to
help out as well.

HEAD MAN THE PUCK!!!!!!

Rookie mistake.
Nilsson nabbed the puck in our zone, had a 3 on 2 out of our zone but instead of headmanning
the puck to Weinhandl on the left wing who was ahead of him and already in full stride, he
held onto it till he crossed the Panther Blueline. By which time Weinhandl had to slow down to prevent off-sides and Nilsson backhanded pass went for naught.

Just a little observation from the coach in me.

1-0 islanders.

wow, also, (Nilsson's mistake aside) that Nilsson-Nokelainen-Weinhandl line looks pretty good.

At work as well but keeping an eye on the score. I tried to get out early so I could go home and watch in on NHL Center Ice...no go with the boss man :(

Two things I've noticed from the stats....

Luongo 22 shots 21 saves through 2 periods.

Flordia 28 Face Off wins
Islanders 17 Face Off wins

So what was the call on Parrish at the end of the period? I saw the replay and still couldnt see one.

Mike York seems to be struggling with the puck, it doesnt want to behave for him.

Kvasha is out of sync, but I think it's because Stirling has changed his linemates 75 times since 2nd period on saturday.

Just let Hunter and Blake play the whole game. I think that would do it. Throw Asham in there too.

And I have to say that Petinnen seems to be getting better.

And to DiPietro goes.....

How about Yash giving Nieuwendyk the business on the bench. He had his stick wrapped around his neck while his teammates worked him over.

Stirling cant be too happy with the officiating or the intensity of his team. I hope someone steps it up in the third.

I think Hunter gets the equalizer, and Yashin gets the go ahead.

If it werent for the penalties I wouldnt know that Parrish was even playing.

Cairns would smoke Asham sorry to say. I miss ole Cairns...he was one of the best fighters this franchise has had since Vukota. Thos two give aways in the playoffs sealed his fate unfortunately. I would hope that it wouldn't come down to himi dropping the gloves against his former teamates. Cairns protected this teams for years and was always the last guy off the ice after every game.
