Talk about a goalie earning 2 points all by himself! Way to go DiPietro.

Question. Do shootout goals count in the season stats?

no they dont count in the season stats, but im sure there will be seperate stats and maybe an award for the most profficient penalty shot scorer and goalie.

RICCO

screw janne and pettinen.

Yes sopel had a decent game, especially in the third.... Be happy you didnt watch the first and second periods, horrible islander hockey, but dipietro should be all around the top 10 tmrw morning.

This team needs to wake up quickfastandinahurry. If DiPietro wasnt in goal tonight (no disrespect to Snow) we lose 5-1. We generated absolutely no even strength chances. And why is Kvasha spending more time out there than the goalposts when he's clearly sucking air while Weinhandl and Nokie are sitting there twiddling their thumbs??? And Parrish on the shootout???? I dont think Ive ever seen Mark on a breakaway in my life. DiPietro and the makers of Jaromir's stick stole us 2 points tonight.

imho f*#k the vets, they may be good but they are not breakaway players, let guys such as nillson, kvasha and even weini shoot.

I wanted Nillson or Nokie for the final shot, I dont care if theyre rookie. I had abolutely no doubt that Parrish was not going to score. I also had no doubt Rick was gonna stop Nylander. The game was over when Jagr didnt connect. Have to admit smart strategy by both Renney and Stirling inserting their best scorers in the 2 hole, assuring them they will get a shot. Im assuming this will be a league wide strategy?
