Isles find legs late

This had nothing to do with line combinations or penalty discipline. It had everything to do with speed, determination and a good finish.

This win is 'special'

"I thought our penalty kill was a little better tonight," coach Steve Stirling said. "And that, coupled with Snowy making the big save when he needed to. was the difference."

The fact that the Islanders took only six penalties - they are the league's second-most penalized team - was a positive.

Bruins generated more scoring chances than us.
Had Snow not made some great saves, it would be a very tough morning around here.

Again, not a 60 minute effort. I'm not looking for dominance. Just some sort of sign that
these guys can bring it for 60 minutes.

I'll go one better: the Bruins outplayed us in every respect except goaltending. Snow was amazing! I swear, whenever he plays net, he must be thinking "How the heck does Rick do this?!" I mean, some of the chances we gave the Bs !!! We can't expect to play like this and win ...

But, of course, I am happy we did win! :D
Yashin, you ARE the weakest link. Goodbye.

Y'know what's cute?

When I heard about the collision b/w Bates and Leech, and that Bates might be injured I laughed like a schoolgirl! :rotflmao:

... then he went on to score, proving that he has a use afterall. Way2go!
Yashin, you ARE the weakest link. Goodbye.

Here's a bad picture of Bates scoring the game winner.

(I'll get better at this, I promise)

That pic is great Jerry. Where else can you find picture highlights of the game? No where, that's where. Great job.

I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!
