Who has Sopel been playing with? The retard who lists the line combos/pairings keeps listing (for the past 3 games) Martinek playing with Zhitnik & Campoli. DEFENSE (77) Alexei Zhitnik-(24) Radek Martinek (25) Brad Lukowich-(44) Janne Niinimaa (14) Chris Campoli-(24) Radek Martinek |

What a great game. The first period was the best by far the isles have played all year. Asham's right cross was the highlight. Plus the 2 scores. Too bad we didnt come away with a couple more, we could've used them in the second. We'll come out ok in the third. We'll regroup and get back to hitting. Cheers for DP getting all over that a-hole Forsberg. He comes in and throws that elbow (which replay shows as pretty intentional) and DP goes ape on him with great blocker and glove jabs. You gotta love it. Ok, lets get ready to rumble for the 3rd period in an already chippy game. God I love this sport. |

okay so it's a loss, but there are positives to take from this: -PP 2/5 -PK 4/4 -We out shot them 40 shots for-30 shots against. Both improvements. -faceoffs 54% -had our best period of the season. -Satan broke his goal scoring drought. -York finally got another. -Dip had another strong game. |

*sigh* I agree .. lots of positives ... whoopee... It makes me sick to hear things like this:
... especially because it is true. How many games in the season are we? And we have one excellent period?!? Now that's hard work! And, as we all know, Stirling says it's hard work to win! And that's one to grow on ...

It's funny because I didnt feel the way I normally do after a loss. I felt really good about games to come. This was a great effort against a VERY VERY hot team in their building. The only thing I can say is that we should have scored more in that first period, otherwise what can you find bad about the game except we scored 1 less goal at the end of the game? Hunter had a good game and needed it. A shot has to go in for his confidence. That rebound right in front would have been buried last season. What's everyones problem with Kvasha. The only reason why he seems to lose the puck alot is because he has the puck so much and because he's always where the puck is, but that long reach of his spoiled many a rush and chances by the Flyers. Did you see him lift the stick of the D-man on the pass across the crease from Yashin to Satan for the Isles PP goal when he was in the slot. Is that taught? Too bad he doesnt get an assist, because if that d-man has his stick on the ice then the pass doesnt go thru. All in all I say lets bring on the next opponent, because other than Philly and Ottawa, nobody would have beat us last night. It was a very good effort even though it came up with no points. Very respectable and alot to take to the next game. But Parrish needs to score. He's doing nothing else to justify his existence. York's goal from the point may be the kiss of death. Now he'll play there all the time with his 50MPH shot. Stirling must and will go before Thanksgiving. DP needs to sit a few games. I know that second goal was not his fault but we out shot this team 40-30 and he has to steal us a win here. He played ok. But maybe Snow should start 1 or 2 and give ricky a rest. How about Godard getting 5 shifts tonight and over 3 minutes. Most all year. But Asham still takes the show with that right cross on Richards. I like the idea that Asham took his helmet off to force Richards (who wears a shield) to remove his and make it a fair fight.....yea fair. I'll be out most of the day playing golf, so I wanted to get all this in now. |

In a way I'm glad I didn't get to see this. All I had was the crawl at the bottom of the Bruins game I was reduced to watching up there. Then I spent most of the evening trying to find out who the hell scored the two goals. But, as I said, I didn't think they'd win this one. |
