Having Mr. Kovalchuk on an absolute tear is scaring me. He has to be contained; however, you have to watch out for Hossa and the rest of the gang.

What they have to do, is to keep banging on the goaltender.

Well - they got a win for my b-day. Let's see them get another one for us tonight.

If the isles play hard, consistant, and with determination... ATL is VERY VERY beatable. plus with thier young goalies, we have an advantage today already with a win on THE ISLAND

Ok....
I'll buzz the airport at lunch and throw holy water at their cars.

I'm sure a few prayers won't hurt!

Kovalchuk cant score if he's on his ass. We have to stay close to him and hit him everytime he touches the puck.

I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!

I hope they boys go for the kill tonight early on and keep it moving, just like SS said post game from PITT. Our team is plenty capable of taking down atlanta. The way? Play the game in their end, Kovalchuck, Hossa, etc. can't score if they aren't in our zone! Just like the start of the Philly game, the Pitt game and the other games, instead tonight I think they can recognize the fact of how they let up and prevent it from happening. Knowing is half the problem, Lets Go Islanders !!
However my prediction will be NYI 5 ATL 3.

ok troops... I did my part.
I buzzed the airport three times and said a rosary. not as creative as webby's naked bobblehead dance. But it was the best I could do while driving....

If God is an Islanders fan, we should have a win.... and the bug should be +2 on the scoresheet tonight....

HEY!
It was my rosary, I threw one in for me.

:yea:

I'm more concerned with Bobby Holik and his net crashing habits.
Given the fact that DiPietro has been run into quite often this year...
I'm curious to see how our boys will respond.
How well we do physically in this game may also reflect on the scoreboard.

LET'S GO ISLANDERS!

How about starting Snow tonight and giving DP the night off. I guess we can play Snow tomorrow, since we do play back to back, but I'd like to have my better/starter play against the Stanley Cup Champs instead.

I like that.
Tough call either way because,
Martin St. Louis is going to be out and the Bolts are struggling while Atlanta's been on a roll.

even without Marty they have many big guns, and isn't Prospal in the league's top 5 scorers right now ?
Yikes !!!

I'm trying to stay optimistic about this game and will predict a 5-1 Isles victory (how's that for extreme optimism)....but you never know...

Dunham is out...and the Isles always tend to make these "fill in" goalies look like GODS...let's hope that's not the case tonight.

LET'S GO ISLANDERS!!!!!
