The Big Angry Man would like to register his disgust for all the board to see: 40 minutes does not make a hockey game. He is too angry to continue.... And to top it off, I was so disgusted, I pu away my camera after overtime, so I didn't get any photos of the shoot out. On the way home, Kinger and Wiedeman were talking about it being the FIRST shoot out on Islander home ice. OOOOOPPPPPSSSS...... didn't get any of it~! |

HOW MANY PICTURES DO YOU REALLY NEED OF AN ISLANDER COMING IN TO SHOOT AND THEN A PICTURE OF THE PUCK LAYING IN THE CORNER??? DEE ITS LIKE WE SEE THE SAME SENARIO EVERY GAME ... ITS LIKE THE LEAGUE KNOWS JUST HOW TO GET US TO CRUMBLE IN THE DEFENSIVE ZONE... ALMOST EVERY HOME GAME THE SAME THING ...I SAID LAST NIGHT TO IQ AT THE 7 MINUTE MARK NO FEAR TILL THE 2 MINUTE MARK THEN THEY'LL TIE IT... NOW IF I COULD ONLY PICK LOTTO NUMBERS THAT EASY |

Some seer you are, get behind 50,000 other islander fans who knew that too. Every one of us had the sense it was going to end like that, and our boys didnt let us down. |

50,000??? You're not very good with numbers, are you???? But, yeah! We all know, unless it's 4 - 1, ANY team will tie it up in the last two minutes against the Islanders. I call for STARBUCKS on the bench at the beginning of the 3rd!!!! That should put a JUMP in their step for the last 20 minutes!!!! |

I agree with Webby. It's halfway through the third, you're up by a goal ... why go with a 1-2-2 trap?!? 1 goal lead is nothing! And protecting it is useless. How many times have we seen better teams fold 2 or even 3 goal leads in a period this season?! Here is the worse news: Buffalo was missing two goalies and their best forward! And they were in our rink! Ouch. More bad news. Stirling noticed Weinhandl was playing well. So he played him more. (so far so good, right?) Well, he still only played for 7mins!!!!! And none of that on the PP! I don't get it. I'm no NHL coach, but I just can't figure SS out here ... Rico was average at best. But he is still getting over his general inconsistency that critics have noted from day #1 (as is the case with most young goalies). And actually, I think he is getting better at playing average when he is off his game (as opposed to a horrible imitation of swiss cheese). I agree. Play Snow. Better yet, trade Snow for a young goalie that will push Rick for #1.

I didn't think there was 50,000 TOTAL Islander fans on the planet... but maybe I listen to too much Canadian Sports Radio.
