Very nice win. Even without Forsberg, Philly is a tough team. This is the type of effort we need EVERY night. If not, we will be a .500 team. From here on out, there is NO EXCUSE why we should see this team take the ice and look like they are skating in slush. Tuesday night may be telling about the character of this team. Since the acquisition of Peca/Yash, they haven't shown the killer insticnt at home. That needs to change.

i like how this is a home and home, we will see how they perform in the 2nd game with forsberg on the ice. The isles just need to slowly win these little battles and they will add up.

Godard actually looked good with increased ice time. He skated really well.

I watched the game and had to run out.
Needless to say, I was screaming . I think everyone (especially Jason) knew this would be his game once he scored only 31 seconds into the first.

Yep... THIS is the team I want to see come back to the Coliseum on Tuesday!!!

And Godard HAS improved, but I told you that. He's can be very useful.

I thought i'd have to wait till New Year's for Blake's annual Hat Trick. This year, we were treated to it early.

Hope he doesn't have one hell of a headache after hitting the boards shield first.

I wore my necklace proudly today at the Patchauge Holiday parade.

What do you think of the lines vs Philly?
55-79-45 (I guess SS rewarded the 2 hardest workers & put them on #1)
#7-16-81 (Good to see Hunter being moved up/time for #12 to be taken off)
11-12-37 (like seeing #11 get more time)
#8-21-49 (why not dress an actual forward?/maybe #8 was there for his size)

anyone know how serious Kvasha's injury is?
Who will be the next forward to be called up? Collins? Bergie? Colley? Colliton?

What a terrific game. I had to stay away from the tube all day. I had hockey playoffs for my middle son at the Rinx and recorded the game. I'm glad I did. Just a great effort from Blake and the rest of the squad.

Are we a better team without Oleg? I dont know, but when it comes to effort, yesterday was the teams best as a team for 60 minutes. Snow was solid.

The big question is can this effort become the way we play or was this a one time deal. I guess that'll be answered on Tuesday, which I'll be in attendance.

I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!

hopefully, Webby, this win will show them this is the effort they NEED every game. What ever it takes to extract this type of energy from them is what they NEED to do for the balance of the season.

If not.... then they will all be playing golf in April. And as much as most of them love golf, I doubt they'll want to be on the greens while the Rangers are making a run for the cup. Because you know with Jagr being the NHL's leading scorer, that will definitely happen!!!!!

Now is the time to put their best effort on the ice every single night. Again... STARBUCKS ON THE BENCH, DOUBLESHOT ESPRESSOS FOR EVERYONE..... well... everyone except Jason. I couldn't even imagine that man on a caffein rush. YIKES!!!!
