Jaromir Jagr is tied for both the Rangers' single season records in goals (52) and points (109). And he's coming to town with the Gay-ngers tomorrow night, accompanied by swarms of Blueshirt fags, I mean fans. Its a certaintly that, win or lose, Jagr will break one or both of those records on Colisuem ice because he's been an Islander killer all his career. And the jerks who should be forbidden from entering the Coliseum will cheer and cheer for him to the high heavens. We Isles fans at the game have to stand up for our team and keep rooting for them no matter what happens. |

Suggestion for the boards: maybe we should have a place for Rangers threads only! A place where people can come to discuss the Rangers!!

I agree... Any post or thread about the Rags shouldn't be in General isanders News. Besides, this topic was mentioned in a couple of other threads. Why start a new thread about this here? But, that said. It is a good point. Jagr is hands down the NHL MVP. What he's done is really amazing. |

It does bring into question how he could have been doing this for the last few years and simply wasn't putting the effort forth. I think he owes Washington and the Rangers some money... He turns it on and off when he sees fit.

K, but I was speaking of the Rangers in context of how it will affect the Islanders and Islander fans if Jagr breaks the record tomorrow night. I have been to too many Islander-Ranger games where the Ranger fans cheer louder than the home crowd, and if Jagr does break the record, which in my mind is close to a certainty, then Islander fans at the game need to be ready to counter the cheers of the Ranger fans. |

All the Rangers SUCK. We should give Jagr no respect at all, he gets too much around the league as it is. |

Your absolutely right. Screw any of them that come into our building. We have to cheer as loud as we can and hope the little douche doesn't get any points. |

Jagr is the top paid player in the league. Remember Washington paid a huge chunk of Jagr's salary just to get rid of him and with all of the bonus' it comes out to a little more per year than what Yashin is getting. I remember this being a big debate on another board when Jagr first signed with the Rangers and someone broke down the numbers for everyone to show Jagr was getting more. |
