I can totally see FEG taking a baseball bat to Jagr's kneecaps....

And then overcharging him for the subsequent Physical therapy

The Rangers may suck but I'm not really enjoying the onset of Spring this year...and it has nothing to do with my allergies.  I don't think the rangers can match up against either Ottowa or Detroit, but they have played all the other contenders in the East quite well.  I'll tell you what, it would be great for the NHL to have a Detroit-NYR finals...now I know that will probably piss alot of people on this board off, but outside of Islander/Colorado fans, that final could really help the league...especially if Jagr gets killed/strangled by a live octopus in the Joe.  Now THAT would be entertaining.

"Ah, Mr. Jagr, welcome, I read your chart and we will begin the therapy today with some 110 degrees of flexion of that recently repaired knee."

Jagr--"but......but they already did that to break up the adhesions and told me I should never continually bend the knee that much, it hurts like the dickens."

"Well Mr. Jagr, that was them, this is me, and after we do that, lets venture over to the leg extension machine, load her up to ohhhhh max poundage at 110 degree's again and see how that knee is doing then."

"Ready?"

JJ---"uh uh ok, one question though, do you know who I am?"

"Yes, you are a hockey player that plays for the Rangers.'

JJ---"ah, you like hockey I could get you tickets?"

"No thanks, diehard Islanders fan, now get your ass on the table bitch."

This is a one line team riding the streak of a hot goaltender bailing out a shabby defense. In the playoffs when they're up against a physical club that can roll out 4 lines, they're toast.

If this is the case then we can expect the Cup to be securely resting in the arms of Western Conference teams for many years to come. Personally, I don't think the Rag$ can play with Ottowa or Detroit but they seem to have held their own against everyone else. My hatred for that team/organization runs as deep as can be, but I can't sit here and (honestly) trash their performance this year. I wish our top paid player(s) and keeper performed as theirs did. Ranger fans are gloating and I'm jealous as hell.

The Ranger will be a first round exit, because if they play the Devils, I like broduer and his expierence, the Devils have thir number, The've shut down jagr, and the rangers are a one line team, lundquist is overrated and the rags defesne is suspect. If they play buffalo, the sabers team speed will kill the rags. plus sabers pk and pp, will do them in. :isles:

We all hate the Rangers here but it seems a bit premature/naive to say the Rangers are going to be a first round exit...especially when they are about to win the Patrick Division (yes, Patrick). They have only been blown out on several occasions this year...twice to Ottowa, once to the Caps, once to Philly, once to Carolina....they have played everyone else very closely or outright won. So this "one line" nonsense is just not going to cut it. The fact is, the Rangers are not a one-line team. They do have one line that is DOMINANT but the other three lines fill those needs well enough. I don't think their special teams are so great but I can assure you there aren't any teams out there clamoring to play the Rag$ in the first round. I believe Stevedepot raised a point a few weeks ago about the Rangers (lack of) grit and how that may hurt them in the playoffs. I can agree with that but in the few games I've seen lately they looked like they were able to handle themsleves in that area.

Brodeur's achillies heel is never being able to beat the Rangers in the playoffs, regardless of regular season which I think the Rangers lead, the Devils and especially Brodeur always chokes against the Rangers.

I want the Rangers to draw the Sabres in the first round, the Sabres are a solid team and although they have slipped lately, for the most part they are playing very sound hockey.

I have to agree with Smittyrules though, saying they could be out in the first round kind of felt weird to say, because I didn't really feel deep down that they were that type of team. But for rivalry sake and frustration at this garbage season, it comes out anyway.

Indeed! I can't imagine there is anyone on this board who doesn't want the Rangers to get swept in the first round....and Jagr to accidentally get maimed after being run down by a Zamboni...Hell, I am president of that club! But let's not blind ourselves to the actual sport.
