I'm sorry but that was the funniest goal ive seen in my history of watching hockey!

I still have no idea how Vasi got that over his head, lol!!

We gotta resign this guy - hes much more physical under Teddy's coaching than hes ever been. Loving it!

Right after the first couple of pre-season games Ted Nolan said he wanted Vasicek to be more agressive. He certainly hasn't disappointed. He gets a ton of minutes he's been really consistent to boot, I think Vasicek and Teddy's Isles are the perfect match.

That goal was like watching a staring contest. It really did seem like time stood still. :)

Couldn't agree more. I was laughing my azz off when he stopped and stickhandled at the mouth of the crease. Broduer was looking like "uh ,guys!! Little help here" just because he has sooooo much time to make a move.

Then it basically is a lob over Brodeur and that is the game winner. That makes up for a game last season v. the Devils when the winning goal for the Devs was some blop in went in off one of our defenders.

It all evens up in the end....
I miss these :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: and want more of them

Any videos on a video hosting site? I haven't seen the play, but am dying to. It's hard to find footage in Taiwan....

The goalie's never supposed to make the first move and Marty made it like 4 times on that play.

John Tavares does it all...

This ranks up there for me, with Satan stick handling around around a goalie (who's name escapes me) at the side of two seasons ago. He did it twice - one may have been Marty.

Thanks Webby. I found that on the Isles homepage last night, and I just realized that I posted about it in the Dipietro vs Hilbert points thread. That is an awesome feature of the Isles site. I watched so much Isles hockey clips last night my eyes were hurting...

Tough not to when Joe Vac gets to stop on the top of the crease and stickhandle for 5 seconds and no Devils come to help.

The funniest part was watching Brodeurs head go back and forth like a cat watching a ball on a string. Strange, funny and the game winner.

Vasi has been playing his butt off. Tank, too.
