Enjoying the game.

Maybe a better question is: what is he doing by sitting on his ass and not playing besides getting worse. |

Another MAB thread? We disagree on this player and his importance or non-importance to this team. We get it!

Breaking up Witt and Radek is stupid. I agree MAB has some skills. The one thing is he doesn't surprise teams now (Phila blocked all of his shots and his wind up looked like it took 4 minutes). And it is not worth it enough for our PP situations to have him out there. Throw in the fact that he is with Sutton who is slow footed and it is just diasaster. Our style right now does not suit him. From our best players mouth... "Ugly" hockey is what they want. We don't want odd man rushes, or having D- Man jump up too often and get caught, or get PP shots blocked and leading to shorties. He has talent, he surely could be a top 6 d- man but right now there are hands down 5 guys better (With Bruno as I have said, not hearing his name is a huge plus: no penalties, no give aways etc.) and Berard who is no Nikky Lidstrom comes close to the same with PP (not same shot but to me overall moves the puck and steps up even better) and so far has been fine on D, remember he is our 6th d-man so for his job he fits in. PLUS I know I trust Ted Nolan as much as any coach for any team I liked and when he sits MAB healthy a lot there is a reason, also this isn't the first time for MAB he had to sit because of d breakdowns.... see Edmonton last year. IN TED I TRUST. Go Isles. Kick ass for our afternoon delight tommorow!

Lbeach very rare that those two were out there. So to say it worked (not saying we don't score a goal or two) is just wrong, it never developed. Plus I know they don't love two Left handed shots at the point. Also you can't just have a D man play on PP and nothing else. We rotate pretty consistent and he would have to get his 12 plus minutes a game. A lot of bad things can happen there. MAB just has that telographed long windup on a shot and he doesn't hit the net more offten than anyone. BB moves it around better and going with what a few people have said that will help us with more goals. 4Cups ........... Good stat about the last 30 seconds scoring that is why we need to KEEP IT IN. We can't have this one shot than out, or pass tipped out etc etc. Keep those same guys on for 120 seconds and we will start scoring. One negative about the PP. We put Silly out there often because of faceoffs, but he can't pass AT ALL on the PP ha. Still love him big time though! |

I wouldn't mind seeing MAB getting a couple of games in, but who would you sit? Surely not Martinek or Witt. We need Sutton's physical play. Campoli & Gervais are developing nicely, don't want to interfere with that. Berard? he's missed so much time already. |

Once again if you think a laser shot would cure our PP you're missing something. |

No but we do need better play at the point, something which Berard and Campoli have not given us. I say sit Berard and give MAB a shot tomorrow. |

Anybody but Campoli on the powerplay point. Campoli just won't shoot the puck and the opposition knows it. |

*See Bryan Berard Everyone has to seriously take the anti-MAB blinders off and realize that our PP is just plain bad without him AND Berard. It is too one dimensional otherwise. Do we need to move the puck down low more, YES, but does it scare the opposition to have the big shot out there, YES also. This is 2 straight games the lack of PP has cost us the game, it needs to convert for this to be a good team, end of story. |

Marc-Andre Bergeron and Berard may not be the best defensive Dmen But with offensive fire power they both posses ~ it's a given they play every game. With 25 minutes of ice time each ~~~ minimum
