I may be crazy, but not every player tears it up under Peter Laviolette.. Vas didn't quite fit in pete's system. Nolan knows how to motivate him by putting confidence in him. Like many players on this team, Joe has to prove his worth, so be it a one year deal. Hopefully the likes of Vas, Comrie etc prove their salt and earn a contract. One thing snow has going for him is that the islanders do not get the respect they deserve around the league like Nolan does. So when it comes time to resign these guys, other teams might say things like "yeah he was just good under Nolan - everyone plays well under Nolan - such as Poti, Kozlov etc.."

When he signed him I knew that he was going to have a breakout year. He thrives under nolan and realizes his potential here. Good job Joe. Keep up the good work.
