Through 16 games:

DiPietro - 1 point
Hilbert - 0 points

"I'll guarantee you we'll make the playoffs. I don't think anybody will be disappointed in the next two years."
Next two years: No playoffs, lots of disappointment
You Rags fans only remember the guarantees that come true, dontcha? The guy is 50/50 on significant guarantees.

Personally, I think Hilbert should be here, but on the FOURTH LINE, where all the faceoffs he generates by shooting the puck directly at the goalie would make a great transition for the first line to come out.

Hilarious post, sad but true.

Hilbert should be on the 4th line and the extra playing time should be given to Park.

I'm kinda shocked at Hilbert's lack of offensive deft, it's laughable but sad. I've never seen a guy miss so many easy shots, it's like he locks up mentally when he has a scoring opp or something, what's worse because of his good defensive play and ability to forecheck and turn over defensive breakouts he probably has had more quality scoring opportunities per game than anybody over the last couple of years. He just whiffs or goes wide. I swear given that he has had the opportunity to play anywhere other than the 4th line he could score a ton of goals if he had his head on straight.

Roop is right. Hilbert has a nose for missing the net. He handles the puck the way a cow would handle a gun.

Watching Andy Hilbert, you see a great forechecker . . . one who would be even better if the other team's zone didn't have that damn net/goalie in the way.

He reminds me of Rick Chartraw (albeit with a better pair of skates).

Right On Time.
I would say I do think Park would fit in real nice there, BUT the line does more than scoring (But a few more goals from that line would be key, especially since the Comrie, Tank, Guerin line is back in effect and has really been average at best scoring wise).

Hilbert might play the best defense out of any forward on this team (although Hunter, Sillinger, and Park are much better) but it is still pretty sad and confounding that in all the ice time he gets, he still doesn't have a single point. Sheesh, if I were out there for all those minutes, I'd at least have a puck deflect off me for a sencondary assist or something.
