Except their goal song is cooler than ours.

I wish someone wrote that for us first.

i do not think so ....the you suck part on our chant is the best part....

And we ripped Washington off of that one.

Gotta remember to log out I guess

The Rags goal song was written for them, so saying that Euro teams use it is BS. I learned history last night from our token Rags fan friend, that the Rags goal song was written by then MSG Music Director, Ray Castaldi.

If it were for any other team BUT the Rags no one would have the comments they have about how 'awful' it is. Give credit where credit is due for once folks.

Personally, to me it sounds like it would fit a team like the Blackhawks.. it has kind of an native American "flair" to it.

But really, I'd rather hear a song where a team has taken initiative to show some originality than listen to Gary Glitter, Zombie Nation, "ole ole" or some other cheeesetastic commercial goal song................

they were definitely mocking them. i saw a few rangers fans at the game last night, complete with jagirl jerseys.

the rangers fans do the 'wooo!' thing to be obnoxious to us. its only fair.

Correct.

I brought two buddies of mine whom are both Isles fans.

When you guys scored, they busted my ballz with our song, just like I did it back with the "wooo!" when we scored.

Speaking of fans, I had a great time last night and met a couple Isles fans who were great sports and added some great hockey discussion all night.

The Rangers discovered you score more goals on the PP when you shoot than when you pass it around the perimeter. AMAZING!

nmmm., you think maybe the Islanders will learn that too..I mean I just be happy for them passing the puck around the perimeter for starters. As it is right now they can't even keep in the end.

Good point. Our goal song sucks and we have had it since like 1992. Plus Gary Glitter is a convicted pedophile.
