Right On Time.
^ Need a superstar a lot of the time. Unless you have an unreal D and goalie.

(We do have a great goalie, not ready to say top 3 though to be fair and our D is solid but after Witt and Martinek who I love aren't exactly Rafalski and Nidermayer or Pronger or Lidstrom etc). you can't even compare).

If you look at the past Stanley Cup Teams they have Superstars...

07 Ducks - Pronger and Niedermayer enough said. Not to mention guys like Selanne and Getzalf.

06 Huricanes - Staal and they had 8 guys over 15 goals. 5 guys over 25.

04 Lighting - Vinnie, St. Louis....... I mean these guys combine for 100 goals.

Then you have teams with un-real D (Guys mentioned early) OR a 100% hall of fame goalie (Hasek, Brodeur, Roy)

SO much of it comes from the draft. We had our chances. We passed on some guys or dealt some guys. Spezza etc. MOST of the time those guys don't hit free agency. Good players, sure but the Crosby, Ovechkin, Ignilia, Lecavalier, St. Louis, Zetterberg, Malkin, Thorton, Kovalchuk, Alfredson, Sakic, Staal, Nash, Gaborik (okay I will stop)..........

HOW many of those guys will hit true Free Agency, and if they do how many guys would want to come here? Once and a while they are traded while the team wants to get young, but these guys are SKILL players and are drafted often and when they work they stay. Same with goalies for the most part, that is why we do have a big piece of the puzzle but Brodeur isn't going anywhere, Luongo won't go anywhere now, Henrik will stay, Giguere signs for big money etc.

I mean Briere, Gomez, R. Smyth yes guys like that, but they are a STEP down from those guys. The 90 point guys, the guys that win games solo, the snipers etc. Remember how much money R. Smyth and the J. Blake and the S. Gomez get, what would the guys on the first list get? Need to draft a few.

How about maybe pulling up tambellini for some non disional games. I mean he wont make a huge impact on a loss but still. Give him some ice time. Hes got over 20 pionts so far thsi season in the AHL. I say give the guy a chance.

But so did Andy Hilbert.

I wish I knew what was.

Nobody ONCE has called Tambellini the "savior". But we did say he might inject some offensive life into the team. We need a play maker on either of our scoring lines and Tambellini NAY help. He did have 3 assists in a game toward the end of last year - at the NHL level.

It can not hurt, can it? So why not try it? So if Tambellini is called up and the Isles lose another game when they only score 1 - 2 goals...this would be different...how?

Give it a shot for several games and see what happens. Those already playing aren't doing anything. Sit Comrie as a healthy scratch for a game and see if that gets his attention.

To be honest, the Isles really don't have any great talent in Bridgeport...role players...but no true goal scorer, and we already know that.

I hope Tambellini helps. Hell if they need to suit up Nolan and put him out there. Whatever works.

Our biggest talents down there are Walter and Tambellini. Only 2 who would have any chance of scoring decent amount of goals at NHL level.

Talk to me when he gets 3 pts at the NHL level on THIS team, THIS year.

I won't be hearing from you.

And since you are being a smart @$$, I believe Mike Comrie had 3 pts in the first or second game of the year.

I was going to say Guerin but I wasn't sure if it was him or Fedetenko that had the 3 assists.

i am pretty sure EVERYONE on this board knows that the AHL is way different than the NHL. We just need to try something different. If you think the team is fine the way it is?..its not at all. We do lack some players and the way we have been playing with less talent will catch up at some point.

Our only two options are bring someone from the Bridge or make a trade. The bridge does not have that much talent but Tambs also has not seen much ice time at all. I thought last year in some games you could see he is going to be a decent NHL player. Now is his chance.

Its better to try something different now than when were two points out of the final playoff spot.

WE JUST NEED A CHANGE.

Please let me know what you think we may need?

Andy missing that goal the other night was just another check on his offensive issues this year. He is great at the PK, moving around on the ice, and being in the right position at the right time.

JEEZE! Everyone needs to take a deep breath and R E L A X

I agree we need a change. But I don't think that Bringing Jeff Tambellini up from Bridgeport will make us win the cup. Thats all.

I hope having Jeffy up here will shake things up and help put some pucks in the net.

I agree with (I forget who said it...I think it might have been Webby). Walter was always in front of the net. WE need someone that will do that!!! Hopefully Jeffy gets the memo.

Lets just kick some Boston ass tonight okay??
