Here's my thing. Since the Rent-A-Wreck Smyth left, it seems that no one takes the effor to stand in front of the net. Also, shooting a flippin' puck every once in awhile won't hurt either. Not a sermon, just a thought. (I hope Islander4cups and Dr. Genorosity got that joke last sentence)

I notice that too. I always yell "Where's Mark Parrish!!!" when there is an (I'm going to borrow this phrase from Jiggs) HUGE OBESE REBOUND right in front of the net.

Someone needs to tell Tambellini to park his little ass right in front of the net and then we can keep him forever and ever.

Ummm, leave the RIFLE out of it. :P

And worse, they had absolutely no defense. Indeed, the French were referred to as "rifle droppers".

You mean.... the Isles are "rifle droppers'? Sacré Bleu!

We need to stop shooting from the perimiter and get dirty down low, plain and simple.

I agree about no traffic in front of the net. At the start of the season we were crashing that net with a few players, now we look like primadonas out there playing the perimeter. Hunter's size and strength would be perfect but he works the boards so good he's needed to dig it out. Guerin should be the guy in front, he's big and has hands to score (when he's not shooting it wide or high). It wouldnt hurt if Vasicek spent some time screening the goalie either. Dont expect Tamby to do it, it's not his game, or Bergie (more perimeter players).

I noticed in the few games Walter had up here he was constantly at the top of the crease creating some chaos. I think I'd rather he been called up.

I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!

They gotta get this monkey off their backs starting tonight. Aside from playing with stone hands, and not getting bodies in front of the net, this scoring "slump" is just as much about confidence. Time to remember and execute the things that were sucessful early in the season.

I play too much. They are homonyms and in American English mean the same thing. But it seemed when I was playing around with it in the translator that the meanings were different in Swedish.

I didn't quite understand it (and frankly never thought about how American English words, though the same as other English words with different spelling, translate with different meanings.)

Does that make sense?

well you know.. for all you video makers out there at least the Isles will make your 07-08 highlights video an easy project.

i mean it can't be that hard to show both of their goals this season.

Is it possible that this team doesn't have a 30 goal scorer (prob. no 25 goal scorer) or a 50 point getter? When does the firesale begin?

Maybe so. But theres not too many guys were going to call "islanders" pretty soon anyway.

If i could get a refund on my season tickets i'd wake up at 5:00am tomorrow to go collect.

It takes much more than that to win. I just hope we can put something respectable on the Ice in front of Rick before his contract runs out. (I know that sounds like a joke, but im unfortunately serious).

Right On Time.
I am down just as much as anyone about them, my family was at the last two games BUT

Firesale? We are 2 games over .500. Second what guys? Comrie? Tank? We don't have many chips ALSO, we do have an elite goalie a top coach, not too many over-played players and some legit D men (Also some youth there).
