Simon-Park-Hilbert
4th Line.
That is EXACTLY right.

Thank GOD! FINALLY!

I couldn't agree more. Its also giving a chance for Bergie on the Sillinger line - they looked good out there on Saturday - seemingly the only line that showed something.

If Bergie and Tambellini don't show anything by the trade deadline, they will be trade bait. Its their time now - put up or shut up.

If Bergie and Tamby don't show anything they'll be trade bait?

If they show nothing, you think we'll get anything for them? What team would want to make a trade involving them if that happens?

Its their time right now to show what they can produce as Islanders. If they do not produce, they have probably run their time here to the ground.

They can be used as an extra chip in a trade - people can always see the potential they have. Tambellini is one of the highest rated prospects at the time of the trade to NY and Bergie is a former 1st round draft pick.

If they don't produce for us, they're stock will fall significantly. Yeah they can be used as a chip but not as a good chip.

The clock is running for these guys right now to reach their potential. And they were drafted five years ago. If they don't realize their potential here......other teams would not trade anything significant for either of them. You're kidding yourself if you think we can get someone of value for them if neither of them produces here by the trade deadline.

There were a number of predictions stating this is/was Tambellinis breakout year, Tsn had him down for a 20+ goal season or summink, im happy with the changes, albeit the breaking up of Joe and Miro, but something has had to change...

Also Bergie has his second chance, i dont think he's deserved the canning he's been getting from some people on this forum, after 20 odd games in his first REAL competitive season in the NHL.

The new top line exites me.

I don't think Tamby has been given a legit shot (yet). He should get his time on the line he's been placed but I don't think we should write him off if he isn't an immediate impact.

As for Bergie, what the hell happened? He played early like he was shot out of a cannon and then just faded.

The lines? If Park would play wing I'd put him with Sillinger and Hunter and move Bergie to the fourth line. Park deserves some quality time and can get Hunts and Silly going, IMO.

We need offense. It's now been TWELVE GAMES of two goals or less.

Good move, I guess based on what we have. But how many chances is Tambellini gonna get before he starts scoring, or getting shipped.

well out of all times he has been recalled, i would say honestly he has only been on the ice for about a total of 30 minutes in an Islanders uniform. The dont test him, they dont allow him to get in situations. They just do to him what hilbert should be doing....sitting on the bench.

This franchsie has filled the league with stars, just let Tamby and Bergenheim develop. Be patient.

Its not like we are going to be winning any cups in the near future!

I actually LIKED the last lineup, even though they lost...and barely scored one goal. I would've liked to see that lineup more often than just one game. Going back to the original lineup...I don't see it working.

theres no hope, when they call Tambellini up, and than give him a measley 7.50 of ice time.

Something tells me Nolan has his head up his oprhus give the kid 15 to 20 minutes a game.

Bergenheim got just under 4 minutes of ice time.
vs Atlanta

See penalties....

That game was not indicative of the ice time those two will be seeing. Once one or both can get worked into the special teams, you'll see their numbers climb.

I don't know about that.

I watched Tambellini skate well, but watched him get knocked off the puck.

His BIG problem is cycling the corners. Usually, when you don't have a play, you keep it there
and wait for help. Minutes matter yes, but from what I've seen, he needs to gradually work his way into favor by improving each game. Thus far, he hasn't done much with what little he's had.

My guess is he needs to get stronger first. NHL games are alot diff than AHL and he wasn't really lighting in up down there either.

yeah, well 7 minutes is a start. I can imagine it will start to increase. I noticed that he has been trying to hit people and just falls over. he has to understand that he always does not have to try to hit all the time to stay in the NHL. I.E. Zdeno Chara on Monday night and last night he got dropped away from the puck when he was the one trying to hit.

#15, #20....the numbers on their back was about the only difference I saw. I'm not overly impressed with either. Neither will make any kind of lasting impact on this or future teams. I'm still waiting for us to draft someone who will really make a difference on offense. Guess I'll have to look to next years draft.
