Cha ching!!! I'd get one too if I didn't already have a blue, orange, white and a USA DP jersey. That plus the Iphone my wife just got me for Christmas, I think she'd kill me if I dropped coin on another Isles jersey...it doesn't help when I quote one of her favorite Seinfield lines, "Gotta support the team". I expect Guerin to snap out of it and deposit another 30 this season. I'm serious. He's too good a player to keep going at this rate. He'll turn it around. His play the last 2 weeks has been "subpar" to say the least, but he will turn it around. |

My only knock on him was some lazy passes. That whole line has had some timing issues and perhaps by moving Simon up there and dropping Fedotenko to Vasicek's line it can bring a different element to our team's physical play. I cannot put down Guerin because his leadership alone is worth the contract. He will get his points but the effort that this team brings is a byproduct of it's coaches and leadership. We need that. |

Agreed. Another thing that is killing me about Guerin's line right now is Comrie. He has some bad lapses in his own end for a first line center, and that was evident last night v. Boston. That goal was Comrie's fault and no one else. However, he also made some fantastic plays in his own end in the 3rd period. What is frustrating me about Comrie right now is when the puck is on his stick, his legs aren't moving. If you watch, many of Comrie's moves w/ the puck come while he's gliding and even if the move works, he isn't accelerating past a defensemen he just beat. That is why his shots are getting deflected so often lately. He's passing up the easier shot, trying to make a move without his feet moving and by the time he pulls the trigger the defensemen has recovered or a fowards has caught up on the backcheck. I hope Comrie starts to use his speed again like he did the first 3 weeks of the season. That is when he is at his best. He's looking to glide and hold the puck until he can make a pass. Sometimes it is just best to pull the trigger on a shot and let Guerin, Tank, Hunter or Simon crash the net for rebounds. Almost worked for Simon in the first last night. |

That goal that Boston had really pissed me off at Comrie. He just let the guy go at the blueline, all he had to do as lower his shoulder or stick check him. He just let him go and he had to avoid him too. Lazy, lazy play. |

In the beginning of the season Comrie was willing to mix it up in corners and play physical. However, I forget who it was against, but at the end of a game a week ago Comrie seemed to injure his should (recurring injury throughout his career) and he hasn't been physical since. I'm wondering if it is more hurt than we know. There was no excuse for that play from Comrie. And I've seen the replay several times. He had plenty of time to at least make contact with Alxelson or tie up his stick. And it was that Bruin who SCORED THE GOAL. He picked up the puck at the blueline, then Comrie went right by him playing matador defense, and the Bruin played give and go to get the goal. Prime example of why the first forward back has so much defensive responsibility. I though Guerin played very well last night. Didn't get on the scoresheet, but unloaded a few excellent shots and definitely helped create some scoring chances out there. |

i thought Guerin played well.. i have a feeling he'll get hot again soon. last night he took some good shots and was just all over the place. i still expect 30 goals from him this season, but i did not expect how much of the complete package he would bring with him. i'm pretty impressed so far, i just hope he keeps it up. |

I meant two awful penalties ha. I thought one was cheap but 2 were for sure. They did give us the last 2 PP which were key. |

^ I agree. I was there, but I mean the first 2 periods it was 5 penalties to 2. They could blow ALL game, but here they blew for 53 minutes ha. |

^ All these guys are banged up and I know he wasn't going to keep up his pace BUT I don't know many top line centers that seriously are invisible. Also it is clear that Bergie is not a fan of the coaching staff. Everyone says he can't have 4th line minutes to be succesfull and that is what it has come down too, right now he just doesn't fit in. He had chances and I think he is a decent player but expected more for sure. |
