Berard!!! And here I thought he was useless
After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots"

I guess I won't complain that the cable feed has been pretty much unwatchable this whole 3rd period... nuttin but pixels & pauses

I expected a loss, however I didn't expect them to do it to themselves. Winless @ home in '08.....not good, NOT GOOD AT ALL !!

What an effort by our defense. This is what happens when you have to play your 6th, 7th and 8th dmen in key spots.

MAB...where momentum goes to die. What a great pass that was to turn it over for Ottawa's 4th goal. Tape to tape. And the best part of it was, the Islander you were passing to wasn't open. The Sens player was directly between you two only 10 feet away and I'll give you credit...you put it right on his tape when an easy bank off the boards gets the puck out of the zone and on to that Islanders stick.

And kudos to both you and Gervais for having no idea how to play when a man behind the net had the puck. Let's leave a senator wide open 4 feet above the crease.

Meyers...could you possibly give your forwards more breakout passes right in their skates that they can't handle??? That is when you aren't so stupid as to deflect a puck into our own net. When you are next to your goalie, don't try to play the shot with your stick. Let him take it and you can clear a rebound.

What a #$$%^ terrible effort by our defense tonight, which is too bad because the Joe V-Satan-Bergie line looked good tonight and Comeau I think will be a good addition to the Silly line.

Our D gave away this game ... plain and simple.
I miss these :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: and want more of them
