i dissagree with you islander4cups.... MAB altho he gave away the puck for the 4th goal I think he had a strong game. He carried the puck well, had alot of hard shots on net and played the puck very well (this is my opinion). Gervais on the other hand was a lump on a log tonite. I didnt see him at all on the ice and when I did he didnt do much with the puck...did he even start sweating?. I wouldn't hold the entire defence accountable for this. Martinek looked decent, Meyer could have played better, Witt was ok....Berard..he got a goal.... What happened to Aaron Johnson after the 1st period?

I WOULD hold the offence on this game. Guerin gave up the puck a few times, Satan (altho I hate to admit it bc he's my favorite player) has been a pussy lately. He's played very soft since mid novemeber and altho got the assist on Berards goal, thats really all he did besides a few shots. I would praise the following:

Park (of course)
Bergenheim
Comeau

Overall I think we played pretty well. I think the people on this messsage board need to realize that there are teams and players that are better than us. We cant win everygame and it seems like whenever we lose we are are so fast to point the finger and put the blame on someone. If our players werent good, they wouldnt be in the NHl plain and simple.

I dont remember seeing Sillinger; Hunter was non-existent
After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots"

Did we watch the same game? Not only did MAB lead to the 4th goal, he left a man wide open in front to chase a guy behind the net on the 3rd goal. There are two goals that were scored from 4' off the crease that were both the result of bad plays by MAB.

He was tentative with the puck tonight. You can tell when he's indecisive...he starts skating backwards in the neutral zone or at our blueline with the puck and we have to recycle the breakout or at the neutral zone again.

MAB was NOT strong tonight. Sorry, but his first job is to prevent goals and he CAUSED two of them including the straw that broke our back tonight.
I miss these :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: and want more of them

Just got back from the game. MAB was a disaster tonight. Enough said.

Now we can only afford 12 more losses... :ph43r:

MAB had a bad game, Meyer opened the scoring. Ricky lost 2-0 in the skills competition. It is tougher than at the All Star Game when guys stand there 6 feet away from you and get the puck from behind you.
We outplayed them for a long time near the end of the first, Vasicek's line was by far our best. I think Guerin had a couple of times where the puck was behind him in our zone, and he skated up ice instead of going back and getting it out.
The Devils and Rangers lost, too. Carolina-I guess Jagr is still on vacation.
We need a five game winning streak! God used to be an Islander fan.

Last night was a fun game to watch up until the 'MAB-twist.'

how much more of this do we need to take? sure, he can be a hero in some nights, but a mistake in most.

is it trade time?

MAB- NEVER HAS SO MUCH BEEN SAID ABOUT SOMEONE WHO DOES SO LITTLE

HE PLAYS DEFENCE LIKE THE KID WHO WAS PICKED LAST

WHEN WE ALL PLAYED STREET HOCKEY

IF HE EVER GETS THE PUCK ITS A QUICK FLICK OF THE WRIST TO GET RID OF IT

BE IT BAD OR WORSE

HE WANTS NO PART OF IT

ALL HE WANTS IS TO TAKE THE BLAST

AND AS A SIDE NOTE I SAW MORE SKATING DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEMS

THEN DURING THE ACTUAL GAME- BEING FLAT FOOTED WOULD HAVE BEEN AN IMPROVEMENT
