Just wondering if Ricky is too good for us

We should trade RD to set him free ~ Horses should run wild :punk:

I was thinking about that watching the all star game. How long till he wants out and demands a trade if we don't get a contending team :letssee:

You guys must be Yankee fans and not used to losing, huh? You all sound like a bunch of crybabies. Ya gotta believe!

you must not remember John Spano...

No I do and those were darker times.
If you see someone down on the ground, you lend them a hand. Unless they're a Rangers fan, then you kick them in the face.

Best joke I heard all day.

Well coming from a Mets & Jets fan, I guess I'm immune to it.

My decision to watch LOST is justified as I just now finished watching that uninspired effort. With the Bruins and Rags up big, where was the sense of urgency.

We keep sliding like this and Garth will need to be a big time seller at the trade deadline.

It's unexcusable that the Islanders did not come up with at least one point tonight. We didn't win a home game all of january that's just sick. I have no idea why but I think that philidelphia game might have been a turning point for the islanders. They just haven't played the same since. I think the next few years will be very important for the islanders. They need a core. Obviously DP and Okposo are part of it but who else??? Now, this isn't some post whining about how the season is over because I know it's not and I still believe we can make the playoffs. But I just feel like where the hell would we be right now without DP???

Tough game to lose.
What can we say?
Hmmmm....

Chris Simon (intimidation?).
Does go back to Philly game and Hunter getting punched while indefensible on the ice,
not once, but twice in the head by Hatcher and NOT one Islander sent a message
after that. That probably has little to do with this slide nor does Simon.
But that was something that struck my nerve about them.
Leadership? Togetherness?

Guerin, Comrie and a few others have gotten cold
and this team has been through dry spells like these
where we seem like a team defeated before the anthem.
But they have always scrapped through them and come with points.

My guess is if they don't have a good week to ten days
where some semblance of life is shown, we may see a trade after a few callups.

All is not lost and I fully expect the drama to go into high gear on Isles message boards
now with the "blow it up" rhetoric.

Good thing work is busy.

LETS GO ISLANDERS!

Not a chance, my friend. This team was on the road to a first overall pick even with Simon in the lineup, and they got hot on that late December-early January tear right after he got the suspension for doing a hoe-down on Jarkko Ruutuu.

tp,
wasn't saying NO Simon was the reason why we've slid.
The team had some success after he left team.

The point was, intimidation factor has been lost and as a result of that incident where no
one stepped up and sent a message after Hunter got hit while indefensible, the team has
lost any "toughness" left over.
It's all about respecting your opponents. teams don't respect us and take liberties
knowing we would cave.
That's the point.

When you stand up for each other in any situation, it's a sign the team is confident and on a high.
Right now we're at the opposite end of the spectrum.

I tend to be about as optomistic as anybody....usually at least, BUT last night this team's lack of EVERYTHING makes my question why I should delude myself into thinking things are gonna get better or be any different. It's tough to keep ur faith tank full after a month where the team won THREE of THIRTEEN games...and 6 of those are losses @ home...in a row !!!! And these weren't all losses where we simply got beat by a better team, most of these losses were self-inflicted. Once '08 began it was officially crunch time, and this group has floundered. Sorry, but I no longer have any logical reason to think this group as it is, has any chance of "turning it around"...they have been trying to "turn it around" for 2+ months...
It's time to call-up or trade for some HUNGRY players...give us, at the very least, something fun to watch for the rest of the season.

but how can you not be excited about DiPietro…Robert Nilsson…Ryan O'Marra…Petteri Nokelainen…Jeremy Colliton…Kyle Okposo…Blake Comeau…Sean Bergenheim…Chris Campoli…and so many others.

paying is one thing-- having a tough day at work- running into the house with no time to change- no time to eat- wondering if the sushi stand will be open- wondering if your gonna get messed with from MSG-
i think the dogs are gonna attack the next time cupz puts on the orange jersey- no walks- no treats- then we come home pissed and they get kicked :doggy:

so having to pay is bad enough- but I'll take back the two nights i wasted this week and be happy-
