Ok lets all realize this team doesn't have enough talant and has played above themselves all year. WEll other teams have picked up thier play, and the Isles just don't have the skill to compete.

You can only overachieve for so long...we're starting to see that this is a long season, and we don't have enough depth to be able to compete when a few guys go down.

I'd like to see Tambs, Walter and Franz up next year, which means we can get rid of 3 current players and turn them into picks for the next two drafts. Hey, maybe if we're lucky we'll end up getting a pick for NEXT years worst team that turns into Johnny Tavares. (haha yea right, this is Long Island)

Okay, losing sucks...

BUT:

Unlike the last game, I saw a few things I liked in this one:

1. For a young/not top notch D - not so bad tonight.
2. Our young guys looked pretty good, considering how interupted their time was.
3. Our PK (Hilbert, Park, Hunter, Witt, Martinek) looked good.

A sort of okay, DP played solid, not good or bad.

The rest of the team... I saw their jersey's, but it was hard to say they were there. You could almost see the young guys wondering WTF?

Stamkos!!!

The one good thing i see is we are on the road to a high draft pick. IMO this would not be the worst thing to happen to us. I just don't feel it see it expect it making the playoffs right now. We need to add some youth and sign some key FA if we can. This team is flat, no spark and have lost their jump. Please let's be sellers snow at the deadline.

BINGO! Leadership on a team doesn't come from 3 or 4 quality guys, and it's not just vocal guys. Leadership needs to have all guys going all the time. If we don't have that, we have dead weight, and it won't only hurt our team now, but it will rub off on young guys, and hurt us in the future.

You'd be surprised how a few floaters can affect a team, no matter how much skill those floaters have.

is it jsut me or iss ted completely afraid to show any type of emotion on the bench at all... even the lip biter showed more angry faces than ted is..

this stems back to last year's outburst when he got called for a penalty.. it seem since that point ted is afraid to show any emotion at all...

Yeah enough with the positive spin on all these awful losses... get angry already. NY loves emotion.
