An ice breaker I used to use to warm up the JC show ================================================================================ Jerry Koosman man who played with the Mets from 1967 to 1978 and later played for the Whitesox, Twins and Phillies ending his carrier in 1985 Is being investigated by Major League Baseball for taking & abusing steroid hormone growth drugs. It seems during his 18 year Major League carrier Jerry hit 2 home runs. One home run was hit in 1968 and the 2nd home run in 1977, Which raises a ! Red Flag ! that "KOOZ" must have been on steroids the days he hit the 2 home runs. Jerry who had 612 plate appearances in his carrier and had only .119 batting average is now under investigation by commissioner "Bud Cracky". Jerry had "no comment" on these allegations when questioned by reporters.

I find the threads usually go as the play of the team does and no offense Zep, but I'm pretty sure you've posted that here before. time for new material. I know you're better than that.

LED IS JUST CLUELESS AND NEVER PLAYED THE GAME CAUSE IF HE DID HE WOULDN'T FEEL THAT WAY. HE JUST HATES DP SO HE WILL GO OUT OF HIS WAY TO FIND SOMETHING, ANYTHING, EVEN THE SMALLEST OF THINGS WRONG . OUR TEAM DEFENSE IS VERY BAD. |

IP..I appreciate the support, but Webby is right. And so is IQ. This is a place to exchange ideas. I didn't mean to be critical of ANYONE inparticular....just refute their opinion. None of it was meant as a personal thing so I certainly don't want this thread to become one. No need to call out anyone. I meant to refute the idea expressed, not be critical of a person or people. Sorry if that is how it came off. Let's face it...losing sucks and makes everyone frustrated. I don't claim to be immune. |

I understand I4C ,I wasn't saying you called anyone out, if anyone did it was me. I didn't mean to . But everytime we lose he jumps on DP...Hmmm ...thinking.... really can't remember him saying anything good about DP when he outright single handedly wins games for the team. But then if Dp wasnt here he wouldn't have anything to write.OK enough... we have to many 3rd and 4th line players .It's time for a real first line. oh yeah loved the kid line . Give them a few more games together in the (NHL)and they will be more comfortable . LETS GO ISLANDERS

I know Led has said nice things about DP... I'm just too lazy to search through all of the posts to find it. Everybody take a deep breath. 8 games left.

CAin... forget for a moment what the Isles should or shouldn't do at the deadline. What do you think the Isles WILL do at the deadline? |

I really think it depends on the next 8 games - as to how drastic it is. Here are my guesses: 1. Re-sign Comrie - 4 years, 3-4m 2. Hunter re-signs for 4 years @ 1.5 or is traded. 3. As Hunter goes, so goes JoVa and Tank 4. Berard is traded, MAB and everybody else stays 5. If Satan wants to stay, he gets a 3 year deal at 3-4m - or traded to contender 6. Tambellini, Bergenheim and Comeau get one-way contracts. If we are out of it in the next eight games, more players will be out with injuries and we'll watch more kids. Okposo won't play a game with the club unless they need ticket sales. We finish bottom 5 and get the 3rd overall pick. |

All likely senarios. We'll see how it plays out. I think if we are out of it, Kyle O will play anywhere from 5-8 games at the end of the season on a callup. If we are in it, he stays in Bport. |

FYI - One Way contracts have no bearing on being sent down to minors. Its time served based on age when signed first professional contract or games played over a certain period of time. Kyle O could have a one contract right now and still be in bridge, he would just get paid major league money while in AHL. |

I understand that - however, it is a recognition and compensation issue. With a two-way you have different salary. Like $475k/$75k. Think Bergenheim this year... that's what I am referring to. |
