Thank you! He's picking up some of the slack left behind by the injuries. This is why I argue to re-sign him. He wants to be here, and adding better guys for him to play with will only make the team better offensively. |

Right On Time.

I saw one person talked about almost showcasing Radek in case of trade. I just want to say on record if we deal Martinek, who is signed for 3 years at less than 1.5 million, what are we even doing? That is all on that. Also one little play that really burned me up.... HOW does MAB wind up as if it was the Slap Shot Contest on that 5 on 3 and get his shot blocked so clear WHEN THE GUY IS STANDING IN FRONT OF HIM? That whole 5 on 3 really sums up our year. |

Good morning faithful! What a night! Between horrible weather, a scant crowd for what SHOULD have been a really cool promo night, a packed house in the blog box, VS carrying the game and being non-existent in the arena... what do we get? A WIN! Which was so needed as the Islanders had the longest running losing streak IN the NHL. It was great to see Bergy and jiffy Jeff score for a change. And it was awesome to see Ted walk into the press room with a small smile... FOR A CHANGE!!! Steve-0! That train station is right by my office. I'm glad I left eary then. I white knuckled it all the way to the coliseum on Hempstead Tpke, but actually made it in about an hour. THen on the way home at 10:15 pm, I got home in 45 minutes, which is almost normal!!! Gotta tell you.... that little Caliber with 4 wheel drive and that traction control... I've never felt more comfortable driving in bad weather. Of course, the idea that if anything happened to me, I was a dead woman when I got home... well... that made me even DOUBLY cautious! ON TO TORONTO!!! (and if you get a chance... check out my blog and tell me "what's wrong with this picture" that they couldn't use it in the II magazine. |

The kid has played very well since his callup. There is a big difference between his play now and his other callups and I don't think it has to do with playing time. I think he is getting it more...getting his responsibilities in different areas of the ice. Hopefully that play will continue and the Tamby Momentum Club will have a reason for more meetings. |
I miss these and want more of them ![]()

Way to go boys!! You guys played a great game last night and finally given your reward. I know it must be hard for you guys to get motivated when you look up and see all those empty seats (makes me sick) but you guys will pull this off. Like Red Green always says: Remember keep your stick 'on the ice' and good things will happen!

Exactly what I'm talking about. We all seem to wonder why we cant sign the big name FA.......ahhhhhhh maybe this is why. There are millions and millions of people in the state of New York and I am sure there are a lot of NY Islanders fans there. Most cant be bothered to go because we are not elite...you know it and I know it. But until those fans start going and supporting this team at home games, we will never be an elite team

THERE IS ALSO A SAYING "WIN AND THEY WILL COME" IF YOU'RE SAYING THAT BECAUSE OF LACK OF FANS (and its took till mid febuary to have an attendance issue) THATS HOLDING THE TEAM BACK FROM BEING ELITE I'LL SAY OK BUT I'VE ALWAYS SAID THIS TEAM/ORGANIZATION IS AFRAID OF SUCCESS |

The crowd wasnt as thin as it looked on TV. Many arrived after the game started, and on a night when driving was treacherous there were many more than I expected. I should have some pics up shortly. And 7th, they definitely missed the boat on your pic. The one on your site was a no brainer for 'hockey and heels' night. |
