Big win in the ACC tonight. Way to go. Two more points and a defeat of the crappy Leafs. Very nice of McCabe to keep giving us PP's like that. Let's see a similar effort Monday v. the Sharks. |

Great effort all around by the Islanders. We were 1-14-1 in our last 16 there so any win in Toronto is huge no matter how it looked. We have a first here at NYIC. Bryan Berard is the first player to be in both the penthouse and the doghouse for the same game. His early play and offense helped us win, yet his play in the third and those terrible penalties almost cost us. So Bryan, here's both houses for you. |

Lol how can bryan berard be in the dog house AND the penthouse? |
| After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots" | |

DP looks injured, much like Witt and Sillinger looked hurt before they were put on the shelf. He's getting up slow a lot after trying to cover pucks up. |

Easy. He's a defenseman. On any given night guys like Meyer, Berard and MAB could live in both places. |

Yeah...those penalties were tough, but that too many men was Sutton's fault. He called for a change and was coming off when he played the puck. You could see he was reaching for the door and was holding his stick with one hand andthe toe of the stick facing himself...which is what they do when coming off. Then at the last second he played the puck. Still that hook or trip or whatever it was on Berard in front of our goal was brutal. No need to do that. Also, you know the refs were going to look to get the Leafs PP time after the marches of McCabe to the box. he must have a seat with his nameplate on it in that box. |

steve made a great point about Witt's puck moving (in)abilty. As much as Berard and MAB cause some problems on the back end, we desperately need their ability to carry the puck and ultimately create scoring chances. I think we need to roll the dice and keep both of them in the lineup from here on out. |

I did not get to see the game, I was on the ice with my bantam team prepping for our tournament in Rhode Island this weekend. But the beauty of NYIC is that I get the real feel for how the game went from those that watched. It seems like we have that early season energy back, that we did okay with the lineup we had and that Rick is definitely playing hurt. Two in a row, let's see where we go with this. Stranger things have happened... |
