First shift for Berard and Bergeon, a giveaway by Berard and Bergeron and Berard getting caught for a breakaway goal...status quo

It wasn't a giveaway from berard... He shot the puck and the caps got the rebound. Mabneeded to be 2 steps closer to the center. Its was a lucky break for Washington
After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots"

Wrong. His first pass trying to clear the defensive zone got picked off and DP made the save...you are thinking of the play up ice...

Yes Berard gave away the puck that first time but the "breakaway goal" was just bad luck.

Two defensemen getting caught up ice for a breakaway has nothing to do with bad luck, but bad positioning

Whatever Shooter - Clearly there are no bad breaks in your eyes...its not black and white, hate to tell you.

A guy moves in to take a shot, it get blocked right to a Caps player, at the excat moment another Cap player heads up ice...oh forget it...Breakaways are just the result of poorly positioned Defensemen not a heads up play by an offensive player.

This is bullshit... We need our defence back

Very few NHL teams can survive losing four of their top six defensemen. Give this group credit for just hanging in there.
