5 down 21 to go |
| After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots" | |

what the f#@k. |
| "We're not in a bind at all," Burke said. "I'd say of the 29 teams, we don't talk to Edmonton, so of the 28 other teams, there's plenty of interest in making this predicament go away. I could hang up the phone and solve this." | |

Martinek was awesome. Kid line had nothing. The rest were sharp. All things considered, our D was good tonight. By far and away, Martinek is 1st star.

Wouldn't have no problem adding a player or two but only as taking some salary on for now and not unloading prospects... |

This team, healthy, playing its system is pretty good. Would I add a goal scorer or two to get out of the first round, maybe? Yeah. Would I do it at the expense of losing even more prospects/picks? Nope. There is something to be said about chemistry. .. this success is making it more difficult for Garth (maybe.) |
