Thanks Phil. It is TINNEY though ha-ha. My boys still rip me and call me "Tiny" or "Titty". I prefer Tinney lol which is where I get the nickname Tinman.

Also last year this game would have drawn 9,500 ( A Thursday night, Non Rival team etc.) tonight over 12,000! Good to see. We are going to probably triple our sellouts from last year.

I know the marketing team has done a great job and while they cut the ticket prices down it is great to have people in the building. Great for the team, they make money from parking, concession etc.

On Monday when Comrie scored that goal the place was ROCKING, then Meyer scored it was fantastic.

KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE!

EDIT: Biggest negative of tonight was the PP. We had guys colliding, very few shots, bad choices by the Point men. Glad we will have 3 open days out of the next 4.

1) Bergie has that Blake feel to him a little without the scoring prowess. Every time he was on the ice the last period he was jumping.

Not sure you realize but Blake didn't score more the 8 Goals in a season his first 3 years. Bergie is at 7G ans should bucket at least 2-4 more. He's clearly gaining confidence and it shows!

I'm sure Mommy is happy

^ Here is the pic of DP going down, the girls face is PRICELESSSSSSSSS.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/photo?slug=4df..._lig&prov=getty

The Game:

Second straight great game I was at with my baby bro. DP was amazing. I just want to say that the last few games he has been great. He is playing at maybe his all-time level, because while the D is playing well, he is still seeing point blank shots, some breakaways, stud scorers (Thornton, Ovechkin, Vinnie the last three games), his rebounds been great, his puck movement... he has been FANTASTIC.

A few points from the game:

1) Bergie has that Blake feel to him a little without the scoring prowess. Every time he was on the ice the last period he was jumping.

2) Satan was great all game. The guy scores big goals. He really does. He still is our number one SNIPER.

3) Aaron Johnson was VERY VERY steady. Never yelled his name out once.

4) Fata was okay, one time in the third with their top line on the ice he was lost, but he was okay, was great at Doolins after the game and signed for all the kids.

5) Radek is the man.

6) Comrie had a decent game, Guerin made some dumbfounding plays.

Final Point...

7) I FULLY understand when people knock the B and B D-Men, EVERY TIME they are on the ice I get nervous, sure they join the rush nice and both actually skated well but they are AWFUL at getting back sometimes and AWFUL making some choices with the puck.

GREAT last few home games boys!!

Fata was more than okay. He's more steady in his zone than Berard and MAB. I'll take him.

While the trip up by the ice girl may have got a giggle, if DP was hurt how funny would it really be?

Keep them off the ice until the players have left.

Mommy IS happy! But this is the player I knew he would be.

I told my Blog Box buddies... If he gets to 12 goals this season, I very well may change the number on my necklace... MAYBE...

Well maybe you should wait till Garth signs him to an extension :ph43r:

I think we are all seeing the real Bergy...it took him a bit to get comfortable in the NHL.....I think the expections were extra high since he was a 1st rd pick.

Whoa... whoa... whoa...

Good win, nice to have 6 in a row - coming off of 7 non-wins.... we're about to be a .500 club over the last 14 games.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

We're playing well, we're injured, but holding the fort.

The next five days shall be interesting. :letssee:

No one's getting ahead of themselves !!!
We're one of the hottest teams in the league and doing it without 4 regulars. Get these guys back and add at the deadline. The East is wide freakin open !
At the end of the day, it's all about the whiskey, gambling and women !

A hot DP and the run can be significant...I said in yesterday's game thread that I sensed him getting a second wind...

I think Miro should have made it into the penthouse for the loan goal and good hustle throught out the rest of the game.
After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots"

I wonder if that Ice girl that took out DP with the flag after the game will be canned or only be in the stands :letssee:

The Blog Box was kinda sparse yesterday, and they advertised for more applicants to participate. You guys arent an endangered species, are you?

And I agree, Miro should be up in the penthouse too. I was kinda lazy this morning and DP was still in there from the last game. I'll see if I'm up to it after I get back in from playing in the snow with the boys.

I found it amuzing that there was all kinds of talk about Torterella giving his team an earful for underperforming, etc. And yet, he WAY overplays his top line to the point of exhaustion....and I'm not sure the 2nd & 3rd lines even saw thie ice last night. That looked like bad coaching to me. Er maybe that's why ur teams struggles Johnny boy....
