The kids have to start getting more ice time. If that means less ice time for Geurin Craprie and Miro, so be it.

i'm so f#@king happy Snow didn't buy.

yep, it was a very frustrating game. our goalie is obliviously fatigued, you see a group of guys who lose sight of each other, constantly, and low low scoring.

I've been saying since the NJ game, Dubie should've started. He's just getting rusty not playing and we need a W since we didn't get one today against the Flyers. Hopefully he'll be up for it tomorrow. :angrier:

somebody please tell vasicek to either tie up the guys stick infront, or take the damn body...first goal was def. all vasiceks fault.

second goal, just a nice shot

third goal...bad break for DP...I blame miro for losing the damn puck at the blue line, I believe he lost early on, in the second per. but dove and prevented a breakaway.

and the fourth goal...well, that was clearly all DPs fault...even if he was on the bench. :P (come on now, did you really expect me not to get on DP?)

just having some fun...only kidding.

tough loss....we played alright, but flyers played better...we'll get 'em tomm.

No Berard means our PP just got that much worse doesn't it? Hope I'm wrong...

SAB

Could it get worse? To compound issues, we now have Satan on the point on the PP which is a waste of his talents. He should be down low where his shot would be effective.

AND WE GAVE UP ANOTHER SHORTIE TODAY.

Our PP can't get more ineffective...it is just killing us, and not because we aren't scoring...we are getting scored on during our pp more than we are scoring.

F 1-2 :puke:

DP SLOW GETTING OVER

Slow getting over???

He didn't get over at all. He was completely screened by two flyers and Meyers when the puck was at the point. You could see DP moving his head to try to get a view and he never saw the puck move from the right point (from DP's perspective) to his low left where the one timer was rocketed.

Goalies can't stop what they can't see. It was just a nice goal by the Flyers PP which did exactly what it should do...and why it is a top 10 PP. They moved the puck well, got guys in front, much puck and player movement...the exact opposite of ours.

None of our players jumped out on the point and gave him plenty of time to find the man on the left wing all alone for the one timer. DP went down when he heard the puck come off the point man's stick (like all goalies are trained to do when they are screened) and had to reach across with his glove as the one timer came from his left. Goalies go down when they are screened. It is what they are taught to do.

DP certainly wasn't the problem in this game. This was another game where we settled for all perimeter shots, didn't really get anything down low on Biron and the one goal we got was on a screen. No other traffic in front and nothing strong down low...same story with the Pitt game...Conklin made 50 saves but 4 were tough ones.

Big loss today

Yep. This game could have put us right there for the race. Very frustrating watching this team constantly settle for the perimeter shot and not drive to the goal for rebounds or draw penalties.

Dubie should get a few starts in a row, DP cant stop a beachball right now, and he isnt moving laterally like a 26 yr old goalie should. For all the DPalogists out there, you can rip on me and others who blast DP, but until he actually proves to have any real success, the bottom line is we are right. When he had better Dmen in front of him...Jonsson, Aucoin, Hamrlik, the results were more or less the same. When does he finally develop? When does he finally mature? Was he distracted trying to bring his babysitter Sudsie back prior to the terrible family news this week? Bottom line, if it wasnt for Dubie pulling off a miracle, after DP came back and faltered again, Isles dont make playoffs last yr, and it looks like with DP in net Isles dont make playoffs this yr either.

I only saw about 2 periods, but the second goal was the result of a poor decision by Vasicek on the PK. He rotated over when he shouldn't have and left the man open on the opposite wing. If I remember right, both Meyer and Vasicek picked up the same guy, leaving Cobourn (I think) open for the one timer.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

:head bang: :deadhorse: :soapbox:

We get it. You aren't a fan. Would be nice if you explained how those goals were his fault, but that's ok. Stick to the same song and dance.

You are correct. An offense that can only manage 1 goal v. Pitt and Philly each has nothing to do with those losses. It is all because Rick "can't stop a beachball".

You are absolutely right...but don't let caber know that. It would blow his theory.
