What really sucks is if NYI won or got points over philly and fla. there would be a lot more Isles fans at MSG tonight......including me. Not to be.

My prediction - Isles get 90 shots and lose 1-0.
John Tavares was 2 years old the last time NYI won a playoff series

DUBIE POWER!!

Wade Dubielewicz will be in goal for the second game in row; Gervais still day-to-day –
nyi.com

To say I'm a little shocked is an understatement that DP is not in the net.

Good Luck Dubie but this has me sratching my head once again.

Shut him down now. Shut Witt down too, the guy can barely move.

I want to see, WITT and everyone on our D, skate towards and step up to the opposition around the slot area
and NOT go down on 1 knee to block a shot (giving the puck carrier extra time to shoot or pass).

I want to see our forwards finish their goddamn checks.

I want to see our guys (without the puck) on the rush drive to the net to open lanes for linemates.

I want to see our entire team stand up for each other after whistles when guys are getting gloved in the face.

I want to see Avery carried off on a stretcher (ok, that one slipped, but wtf).

I want to see a win.

LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!!

With DP just coming back from his grandmother's funeral, he probably feels he needs another day to refocus. Besides Dubie's no slouch.
If you see someone down on the ground, you lend them a hand. Unless they're a Rangers fan, then you kick them in the face.

I'm sure the rag fans would have chanted, we want grandma or something else classless.

Dubie played very well and maybe it's part of Nolans theory of guys earning their gameplay from here on out.

We'll win tonight, I have a gut feeling.
This means, the torture of not knowing if we make it or not continues.

:o

But WHY now is Ted showing trust in Dubie...outside that Toronto game early in the year Dubie has played well so why now now the earn and you play?

I like Ted and In Nolan I Trust but it would seem the coaches confidence is also shaken...he really seems to be all over the map right now.

Its less a comment about tonight so I'll keep the rest of these rambling out of the gameday thread.

Just Win baby!! PLEASE!!! I don't want to have to go to NVMC on Thursday on a 5 gmae losing streak.

I'd say

because ricky's spark is out

or he's tired of standing on his head or he's hurt

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU DUBIE!
After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots"

I guess DP is hurt...maybe not hurt to the point where his season is shut down but injured to the point where his play is affected...

Shooter, that's what I was saying about him getting hurt in the ASG skills competition and you said how he didn't look hurt in the 1-0 TB game.
Maybe he's just worn out (besides coming back from the funeral) he just needs a couple more days. Dubie's last start before that was 1/31.
