Isles all the way

Okay we got it... We aren't going to make the playoffs this year but you don't have to go posting about how bad Dipietro and everyone else is. Just chill and hope it's just that he's hurt. |

I won't badmouth the whole team. Just the stupid plays, lazy penalties, and players that are just out for a joy skate. Can only blame DP for 2 goals that I saw. Bad bounces, no defense, STUPID PENALTIES. PP sucks big time. Dump and chase. No one gets there in time. If it's broke, FIX IT. Maybe time to change PP coach. I think it's time for Dunham to go, too.

Again... I'm thinking this is the curse of Sudsie. But yes... the Power play coach needs to be fired.... NOW.... as soon as possible.. like maybe on this road trip. But seriously... the penalty kill is what really killed them. ] |

What's sad is Toronto and Atlanta might overtake us - and we'll be trying.

He wasn't sharp tonight. Period. On a good team - it wouldn't be such a big deal. He hasn't played well since the All Star game. Period. We know why. That's life. I hope that when we are officially out of it they sit/fix him for next year. I don't want 13 more years of this. |

If that happens it might be in the best int for the islanders. If we can't sign some players who can score and play some D on a night to night basis next year doesn't look so bright either. |

I think Davison makes things interesting. Berard is gone. Witt, Martinek Sutton-Meyer Davison/Campoli/Gervais/Johnson ???? |

Cain, I dont want 13 more yrs of this either but if this was DP "ready and excited" like the newspaper quotes and he said, then this might be the best we get and he isnt getting any younger or less injury prone. He is now a veteran, not a cant miss prospect. Even if this was a good team he would still be making the same mistakes. |

DP's not the problem. So big deal he came out flat after not starting in over a week. Anyway, how many games do you expect to win when we only score 1 goal?!!!!!!!!!!? |
| If you see someone down on the ground, you lend them a hand. Unless they're a Rangers fan, then you kick them in the face. | |

His mistakes can be very deflating. The roster has turned over so much over the last few years but his mistakes remain. Again he is now a veteran not a cant miss prospect. |

Funny Caber but the only thing I ever see you post is about Bashing DP. Do you have anything other to say about the team or Hockey in General. :deadhorse::deadhorse:DP is by far the last thing this team needs to fix. From the PP, to the PK. Goals for is the worst in the league. But yet the whole season was lost due to DP. My god get a clue. Not saying that DP is playing up to par but when a goalie only gives up 2 goals and still cant win a game. Add to the fact that this team has been in more one goal games than any other. Yet its all DP's fault. Show some insight and get off your stats following. Stats are one of the most useless and missleading things in Hockey. Up Joe shmoe has a 1.2 goals against and a .925 goals against. WOW he must be a great Goalie. OOOHHHHHHH he only played 2 games. Please stop beating a dead Horse and show a little insight to Hockey. Dont take this personnal as I am sure I am not the only one feeling this way. |

I dont take it personally, and I just want to see the team do well and succeed, but his mistakes remain the same as they were in the past. PS: I dont only "bash" DP, I also bash the cheap ownership and lack of hockey knowledge running this team. Wang would rather spend his money on the real estate, the Dragons, Chinese Hockey, Chinese hockey radio station etc than concentrate on the only thing that will in the end up bringing a new arena to Long Island...and thats a committment to a good team/product on the ice. |

Doesn't matter who is in the net. They can't score, can't kill penalities, can't score on PP...His mistakes just magnify an already bleak situation. Let's hope they don't screw up and lose a shot at a lottery pick. |

To be honest with you. If it was not for Wang, This team would have been some where else. It is a double edged sword. I can not judge his commitment to this team as he bought it knowing he would loose millions a year. Think what you want but he has the right to makke the calls. Some times you need to take a step back to move foward. The first thing he needs to do is get a new arena with more revenue. The Second biggest is loosing SMG. |

Step back to step forward, Wang has now owned the team since 2000. Look back at the last 8 yrs, how many "steps back to step forward" has this team made. Each time we had a chance to improve greatly (after 02 run, 02-03 season, and after last season) the team has taken major steps backward. |
